Feature packed software

Pros

There are lots of options, features and functions available so the platform feels very complete overall.

Cons

Using it can be more complicated and less user friendly than expected. There are lots of menus, submenus, settings and seemingly endless tabs, plus each screen shows a lot of information which can make it feel confusing.

Efficient teamwork

Pros

Keeping teams efficient is much easier with this tool. The clean, minimal interface and reliable platform make it simple to understand right away. Communication seems quick and effective and notifications work really well. Plus it helps me track both daily tasks and bigger long‑term goals. I can handle communication organization and project planning all in one place which keeps me connected with my team.

Cons

One basic interface improvement that still feels missing is the ability to sort projects in chronological order. The default view shows tasks that have already been completed and that ends up wasting time. On top of that there haven't been many new features or meaningful updates to expand what this software can do.

Excellent for client project work

Pros

We rely on it for pretty much everything tied to client projects. When new clients or team members come on board, getting them set up on the platform and actively using it is not a hassle.

Cons

Back in 2019, when our company started scaling quickly, the billing structure really worked against us and the platform became fairly expensive.

simplifies task organization

Pros

Assigning tasks to teammates works really well and keeping everything organized by priority and other criteria is very convenient. There's also a lot of room to customize it to fit different workflows.

Cons

One part that didn't work that well for me was the notifications for updates and reminders on unfinished tasks since they didn't feel very effective.

game changer tool

Pros

This platform completely transformed the way I run my business. Things honestly haven't been the same since I started using it. I am far more organized now and it's even helped me start thinking seriously about the first steps toward hiring a team.

Cons

I really don't have anything negative to say about this platform. I have been extremely happy with it and to me it's the best option out there.

right fit for us

Pros

Getting to try the software for a while before committing was a big plus for me. It does a really good job of tracking how projects are moving along and assigning and scheduling tasks for my team is very easy. I can also create both progress reports and final project reports without any hassle and having my work synced through its cloud storage has been very convenient.

Cons

there is not much for me to complain about. The only thing I wish were different is the length of the trial period since it feels a bit too short. I would have loved to have access to it for a full month.

Complete project planning

Pros

Handling teams and projects with Asana works really well. You can break each project into smaller plans and even add subtasks which makes everything much more organized. It also lets you sort things by color, calendar order and assignments so it feels very complete for managing full teams or even just personal tasks.

Cons

The part that gives me the most trouble is pasting text into tasks because it strips out all the formatting and the text ends up looking messy. That becomes annoying when I need to copy and paste prepared task details. Also, deleting tasks feels a bit tedious to me since it takes two clicks and isn't very user friendly.

Team progress made simple

Pros

It is easy to use and it made it really convenient to keep track of progress while collaborating with a team.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about it. I am only not using it anymore because I no longer work with the company that had it in place. I'd still recommend it to solopreneurs and business owners.

visually engaging tool

Pros

They seem to keep the platform updated on a regular basis and consistently add new features. It's also very visually appealing to work with which makes using the software enjoyable.

Cons

The pricing is the downside. I understand that strong software comes at a cost but this still feels a little more expensive than some of the other options available.

Asana is a crucial component of my stack for both business and personal life

Pros

The built-in notification system and adaptability are standout features that enhance focus on tasks, tracking requests, interdependencies, and more. The system I've established keeps me away from my regular email inbox while still allowing clients to adhere to email, especially when Asana seems too complex for them to learn.

Cons

Asana falls short in handling subtasks, limiting visibility to only one level on the main task list view. The UI for subtasks beyond the second level needs significant improvements.

Asana is awesome for tracking and visualizing your progress

Pros

Asana stands tall as an excellent task management software, not just for its price but especially for its feature-rich nature. The inclusion of visual elements like portfolio and reporting adds to its appeal. While managing teams might lead to occasional task overload, the workload and projects tabs prove invaluable in assessing how well your team is handling the work.

Cons

While there's nothing I dislike about the software, the cost, though cheaper than most competitors, adds up for each user. This can be expensive, especially for maintaining the entire team on a specific software.

Gold standard for small teams, a bit difficult to scale up

Pros

Over time, Asana has evolved, offering a great UX that ensures reliable collaboration, coupled with effective mobile apps.

Cons

The abundance of views has made Asana a bit too complex for some users. Onboarding new teams used to be easier, and managing and viewing attachments could be cumbersome.

Plan and manage team projects effortlessly

Pros

Asana's attractiveness lies in its free usage for a team size of 15. It provides multiple view options to track tasks - list, board, timeline, and calendar. Assigning tasks with deadlines, integration with Gmail for notifications, setting priorities for each task, and checking the status of assigned tasks are all part of its comprehensive features.

Cons

Asana's layout is less visual and colorful. Assigning multiple people to one task, blocking purchase users only in multiples of 10, and a less effective filter/search functionality are notable limitations.

Pros

Asana proves invaluable in managing and organizing the workflow within my projects, enhancing my organization of daily tasks and assisting in the management of strategic initiatives. It serves as a communication hub, aiding organization and planning for my projects. I highly recommend its use for daily tasks and team projects.

Cons

The mobile version of Asana lacks some tools present in the web version, which is a downside.

The tool which became the critical sucess factor for project management

Pros

Asana simplifies workflow management by seamlessly integrating with various business tools. It also offers a calendar and agenda connected to email, consolidating numerous resources within a single tool.

Cons

While I've had a positive experience with the free version, it seems small companies may find the paid version with its amazing features financially challenging.

The heart of our project management

Pros

Asana stands out for its user-friendly interface, reliable email notifications, support for quick reactions (like) to assigned tasks, bulk editing capabilities, and a free version catering to up to 15 users, packed with features.

Cons

Asana has some basic UI features missing, like sorting projects alphabetically. The default view includes completed tasks, which seems pointless. New features and updates are infrequent, and redirection from the website to the Asana app is slow.
