Great tool with helpful reminders

Pros

I've gotten a lot of surveys and group emails about how great Asana is and I have to agree. It's a solid tool and the email reminders are really helpful in keeping me on track.

Cons

I really like this software and since I've been using it as an end user, I'm not sure what cons there might be.

Great for organizing and sharing tasks

Pros

It is super easy to use for me and really powerful and flexible. It even has a mobile app that works on both Android and iOS and it integrates well with other tools. I can easily organize, share, and break tasks down into smaller parts to assign to team members. It also allows one to break major tasks into smaller parts and then you can assign them to different team members.

Cons

I have nothing bad to say. Asana is an amazing tool and it's really simple to use.

No support access

Pros

I didn't find any trouble using it because it is very easy to use.

Cons

The downside I've found is the lack of actual support. Their support chat has been broken for over a year and there's no phone number to call or email to contact.

Customizable but templates need improvement

Pros

Asana is really easy to use and it integrates perfectly with Slack. So we can create tickets on the go. It's also really easy to customize based on project needs which is a big plus.

Cons

The template creation could use some extra features and exporting on client requests is a bit lacking.

Smooth project flow but task duplication issue

Pros

I love the ability to create projects and collaborate with my team. It just makes things flow so much smoother.

Cons

I can't set repeating tasks with subtasks and the subtasks tend to duplicate themselves, which is a bit annoying.

Amazing task automation with rules

Pros

The feature where I can set "rules" for each project is amazing. Tasks are automatically moved or marked when completed or needing attention. It's made managing tasks and collaborating with my team so much more efficient.

Cons

The platform feels different on the app and on the computer and it's been a bit tricky to coordinate that between users.

Easy access control but too basic

Pros

It's super easy to give different people access to projects and tasks which is really helpful for collaboration.

Cons

It's a little too basic for what I need. I'm looking for something that handles detailed project management, cost planning, resource management and reporting.

Excellent for product and task management

Pros

I found it to be an excellent tool for product and task management, offering an simple interface and attractive look-and-feel and it made collaborating internally with colleagues, developers and stakeholders simple and efficient so our team could coordinate work and track progress without unnecessary friction.

Cons

As a team, we relied on the mobile app frequently and found it to be less than ideal, with a clunkier, less user-friendly experience than the desktop version so we often wished its interface and navigation were improved to better support on-the-go work.

Most polished interface with full mobile app

Pros

From my experience, the interface is the most simple and polished I've come across on any platform and it gives me plenty of customization choices so our team's workflow can be tailored exactly how we like it, plus the Asana mobile app mirrors the web version and offers the same full set of features.

Cons

I find that if we don't tweak the notification settings, my inbox quickly becomes overloaded with messages making it hard to separate what's important from the noise.

Granular project planning with clarity

Pros

I really value how granular I can be when planning a project since it allows me to break work down into precise steps and structure everything with a lot of clarity which helps me anticipate and organize tasks more effectively.

Cons

When collaborating, I sometimes notice subtasks piling up and becoming hard to navigate because each teammate tends to organize things in their own way, However I find this is usually controllable if I set clear guidelines for the team from the outset.

Centralized communication for team discussions

Pros

Using Asana has been an excellent way for me to communicate with team members, as it keeps our discussions centralized and makes coordinating tasks and sharing updates far more simple than juggling messages across different tools.

Cons

I can't think of anything I dislike about Asana, in my experience it supports our workflow so well that there aren't any clear shortcomings or problems worth mentioning.

Fond of task creation and progress monitoring

Pros

I'm absolutely fond of Asana because it lets me create and assign tasks, set deadlines and monitor progress across multiple projects for effective team communication while also allowing me to mention teammates, share files and collaborate smoothly.

Cons

I can truly say with everything in me that Asana has an exceptionally user-friendly interface and when a client once assigned me a task requiring the platform it didn't take me up to five minutes to become comfortable with the layout. That initial exposure was my first time using Asana and since then I have preferred it to manage my projects and communicate easily with clients for task submissions.

Impressed with neat organization and scheduling

Pros

Really I am impressed with this app because it helps our team keep projects neatly organized and consistently nudges us to stay on schedule which has made managing tasks and deadlines feel much more under control.

Cons

Would be awesome if I could use built-in timekeeping so I didn't have to rely on third-party apps since depending on external tools to track hours adds unnecessary friction to my workflow.

Easily splits work into organized projects

Pros

I'm really impressed by how easily I can split work into separate projects, create nested sub-items, attach files and other resources and even invite teammates to collaborate which keeps everything neatly organized for my workflow.

Cons

For me there are so many settings and choices to juggle that the interface can feel overwhelming and I notice the price climbs quickly once I need the more advanced features.
