“Stays on top of every task”
Pros
Keeping track of work has been much better with Asana because it helps me organize everything and set priorities clearly. Since I juggle a lot of different tasks for different clients, having a place where I can break projects into smaller, manageable pieces has been really helpful. I have only been using it for a few months but it has already made a big difference in helping me stay organized and keep up with my workload.
Cons
I haven't run into anything I dislike about it so far.

“Top flexible workflows”
Pros
Setting it up and reviewing work is easy now and it lets us define the required steps everyone on the team needs to follow. I can also check project details from my phone and whenever something changes in the project, I get a notification right away.
Cons
Reporting is harder to configure than it should be and a few parts of the process are locked in the tool so they cannot be modified.

“Helpful automation”
Pros
Getting our teams onto it was pretty easy and different departments picked it up quickly for project management and collaboration. The automation in the board view is also really helpful especially when a task is marked complete.
Cons
One drawback especially for people who learn more visually, is that when you set up a project you have to choose either a board or a list. If someone creates it as a list, it can end up feeling like one long endless to-do list. On the other hand, if it's created as a board, people who are more comfortable working from lists can get a bit confused.

“Versatile project planning dashboard”
Pros
Asana has been excellent for managing projects, setting up timelines, storing files and using the project dashboard. I also really appreciate having multiple options for changing the view style, plus the ability to add different view methods for each project.
Cons
The thing that gets annoying is the email notifications as it sends a message for almost every single task update and sometimes those emails feel unnecessary. Other than that, everything else works well.

“Effortless workflow”
Pros
After trying quite a few apps that position themselves as alternatives, none of them really matches what this one does or the way it does it. It's very simple to get started with, the learning curve is minimal and the interface looks clean and modern. Drag-and-drop works well too and inviting team members while keeping the right level of control is also easy. The free version already covers the essentials really well, with unlimited tasks, projects and more. That said you'll need the Premium plan for things like custom fields which happens to be very useful for our web development and front-end design workflow.
Cons
Capabilities like rules automation, forms and custom fields are locked behind the Premium plan and that upgrade is not exactly cheap. Still, if those features are important to the way your team works, the pricing does feel somewhat justified.

“Smart team tracking wins”
Pros
Across the business this tool touches almost everything we do. It gives us smart yet easy project tracking and keeps conversations flowing between multiple teams at work. The task management side is simple and genuinely very useful for us.
Cons
At this point there isn't anything else we need from this software.

“Deadline control”
Pros
Collaboration has gone to another level with this tool. For creative work, hitting deadlines is crucial and that's something we've been able to do consistently ever since we started using it. It also gives the whole team better visibility into projects that are starting to slip which naturally encourages people to step in, check each other's tasks and offer support. That kind of teamwork has been a really positive side effect of using it.
Cons
One drawback even though it's one of the features we use the most, is the 100MB file size limit. That's been pretty frustrating for us because we handle marketing projects for social media every day and that cap creates extra unnecessary steps in our workflow.

“Top fantastic for team coordination”
Pros
It has become my go to platform for team communication, project coordination and task collaboration. Keeping track of tasks and timelines is much more manageable with this software and the tagging feature makes delegating work really easy. The built-in messenger also helps cut down on email and makes quick responses much easier for our team.
Cons
A few of the tools we use still cannot be integrated with it so I'd really like to see more options added to its integration library. Pricing is also on the expensive side especially when you have a larger team with many users.

“Powerful timeline for planning”
Pros
The timeline feature is a standout and I really appreciate that Asana can handle a lot without becoming as overly complex and intimidating as other project planning tools.
Cons
If all you need is a basic shared to-do list, it can feel like too much so it really makes more sense for projects that have at least some level of complexity.

“Reliable alerts”
Pros
It's dependable overall and the notifications consistently do their job. The Slack integration also works really well which helps me avoid spending too much time in the uglier parts of the platform.
Cons
The interface is still a big weak point. Using the native web app is painful because the design feels ugly, the feedback from the UI is poor and the whole experience just feels unpleasant.

“My favorite task diary”
Pros
Planner notebooks used to be my thing but this has completely taken over as my go-to daily diary. I can add all my tasks, keep an eye on their progress and shift them around whenever their status changes. Being able to color-code or organize tasks by importance is a huge plus for me especially since I tend to procrastinate a lot.
Cons
Getting comfortable with it was honestly pretty tough. I actually quit using it twice before coming back and finally sticking with it. If you're not very tech-savvy like me and you're attached to traditional paper planners on your desk, it definitely takes a while to understand and use well. The good part is that there are plenty of tutorials available so it really comes down to putting in the time to learn it.

Pros
One thing that really makes this stand out is how much it helps with task management. It also keeps tracking clear so the whole team can see updates without anyone needing to send an email every time.

“Collaborative tracking that keeps us aligned”
Pros
At our marketing agency this has become the project management tool we rely on every day. It makes it simple to follow timelines, monitor project progress, keep up with team activity and stay on top of daily tasks. The overall setup really encourages collaboration across the team and it also works well for communicating within tasks whenever extra context or details are needed.
Cons
One thing that bothers me most is the lack of a clear way to mark a task as high priority. It's also difficult to assign a task when several people need to work on it together and assigning one task to multiple projects isn't very easy either. On top of that considering what we pay, it feels discouraging that not all features are included in the price.
