“Reliable task tracking”

Pros

It is easy to use and dependable. It lets you assign tasks to specific people and set clear due dates which makes staying organized much easier.

Cons

A few features don't feel especially useful and I'd prefer the platform to be a bit more organized.

Pros

There's a lot you can accomplish with this tool and it is very powerful without becoming too complicated. The videos and self-help articles are also incredibly useful when you want to dive deeper and really make the most of everything it can do.

Cons

At the beginning it can be a bit hard to know where to start because there are so many different features to explore.

Pros

This tool does a great job of helping companies and teams make progress and get started on all kinds of tasks they need to handle. What makes it different from other similar tools is that it's very flexible yet still easy to learn. Overall it makes organizing a project very simple with this software.

Cons

One drawback is that it is not fully clear on a mobile screen and the mobile layout/design feels not clear enough. That is really the only negative point I noticed about it. Aside from that, it is a fantastic tool.

It's a simple tool and you do not need much experience to use it well. Overall it's a very useful project management tool because creating tasks, assigning them and tracking progress are all easy and convenient.

Cons

The thing that concerns me is the weak security since it can allow other people to see messages or tasks that you have created.

Keeping in touch with our web developer through it worked well and gave us a good way to stay connected on project updates.

Cons

Message threads can become very long and since the newest replies appear at the bottom, it takes extra effort to find fresh information. The email notifications tied to those messages also get endlessly long which makes tracking new details even harder.

Pros

Across our organization, we use it for project and workflow management and it does an amazing job of keeping project requirements and processes organized. It comes with plenty of useful features especially the dashboard and Kanban board for handling tasks efficiently and the notifications help everyone stay updated. The reporting and charting tools are also really helpful when it comes to analyzing progress and performance.

Cons

The only issue we've run into is with the time-tracking workflow for individual user tasks.

“planning that just works”

Pros

Asana hits the right balance for me because it stays simple but does not feel too basic and I can add as much detail as I want. Adding things to my calendar or to project and team calendars is very easy and I really like being able to drag tasks to different days when plans change. It works well whether I want to keep things simple or build everything out in detail. The highlighting feature is also very useful for keeping different task types and projects organized. Plus it has been great for me personally and for working with my business team and getting it set up in our workflow was incredibly easy. I truly enjoy using it and recommend it to friends all the time.

Cons

I have noticed that when I remove team members who are no longer with our company, their email addresses or profile names still show up in the auto generated team member list. I am not sure whether that's part of it or something related to my computer settings but it would be nice if there were a way to delete them permanently from the system. Other than that I really don't have any complaints.

The reminders are really useful because they keep nudging me along and stop me from putting things off xD

Nothing has really come to mind as a flaw yet and overall my impression of it has been positive.

It is easy to use and showing other users how to use it is just as simple. I also really like being able to pair it with the iPhone app which helps keep everything updated and in sync.

Cons

The app could be a little faster At times and I have run into a few notification issues although it hasn't been a major problem.

Everyone on the team gets instant visibility into each client account and all pending projects which makes coordination much better.

There are so many different things the platform can do that I can understand how some people could get overwhelmed by the features without proper training and regular process updates.

Pros

Asana has become my go-to project management tool because it's simple to work with and flexible enough to be customized around what I need. The interface is clean organized and easy to navigate which makes managing work a lot more comfortable. The Slack integration is also a big plus since it helps me stay current on tasks without extra effort.

Cons

The mobile apps including the iPad version could really use a redesign.

It helped our international team stay aligned on which projects were active and who was responsible for each one.

Cons

Things became really confusing once we had more than 5 to 7 projects running at the same time. It was also difficult to tell who had visibility into which projects.

It is pretty easy to use and assigning tasks whenever needed is simple. It's also convenient to make the necessary project updates and adjustments along the way.

At the beginning it took a while to fully learn how everything worked. Once I got past that early learning curve though, it turned out well.

Even the free version packs a lot in and it is very easy to use. It works really well for collaboration and keeping task management organized.

There is a lack of a native desktop app. Having to keep it open in a browser tab or turn it into a Chrome app seems a bit confusing.

Pros

Having one place to share the materials and assets my team needs for project planning has been really helpful. Everyone can get to what they need quickly and we don't have to rely on any separate third-party storage just to keep files organized. The calendar management is also decent which makes it much easier to follow the timeline and keep track of progress and deadlines.

Cons

I'd really like to see improved the way sub-tasks are handled especially in the Gantt Chart view. Right now, sub-tasks stay hidden and aren't displayed in a very user friendly way on the chart so I have to open each individual task just to check the sub-tasks connected to it.

Pros

Keeping up with all my different tasks is much easier with this because nothing slips through the cracks. I can add a task in seconds either directly in the app or just by emailing it in which is really convenient. The interface is user friendly and creating projects makes it simple to keep everything organized. It's also very useful that I can assign tasks to other people, share them and message or tag teammates right inside each task.

Cons

It was hard to think of anything I don't like which says a lot about how much I enjoy using it. The only minor downside for me is the default My Tasks view. I'd rather review my work project by project and focus on whichever tasks are coming up the soonest.

Getting started with it isn't overly difficult and that's really the only positive thing I can say about it.

Cons

A few key features are missing especially time tracking. It does connect with Harvest and Toggl and if you decide to handle it that way, I'd suggest Harvest over Toggl. The interface also feels cluttered and not every option is available in every view. For example priority only shows up in the project view, not when looking at your personal task list. That makes it pretty impractical to sort your own tasks by priority unless you're willing to dig through everyone else's tasks too.

Using it has not been a hassle. It's mobile-friendly, handles task management really well and the integrations with other tools are a big plus.

Cons

One downside is that the mobile app doesn't include every feature so some functions still have to be done on the main system.

Keeping track of team responsibilities is much more manageable with Asana. It helps me organize tasks in a structured way that supports successful completion and the interface is simple to work with. The platform includes essential project organization and management tools, keeps activity tracking clear across my projects and makes task assignment and planning much more convenient. The paid version also adds valuable features and standout extras that are hard to do without which makes using it even more enjoyable.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve At the beginning since it takes some time to understand the tools and use them in the best way possible but it gets much easier with continued use. The paid plan may feel a little expensive for some users although it does include important extras that are difficult to skip. Overall it is an excellent program.

Across different departments, it gives us a practical way to manage multiple projects using boards. Collaborating with the team and sharing files is very convenient and it also helps us keep a clear record of historical data.

Cons

My only real issue is that I probably am not taking full advantage of it yet since I am still not completely aware of everything the platform can do.
