“user friendly boards for projects”
Pros
Using it is not a hassle. The newer board-style project view makes the full workflow much clearer and it helps a lot when trying to see everything that still needs to be done to finish a project from start to end.
Cons
One thing I'd really like to see is a customer-facing side to the platform. We use it to onboard new customers onto our system and it would be helpful if we could send them task-related emails without needing to create an account for each customer.

“Task tracking win”
Pros
Getting my team on board with this was surprisingly simple and that has been a huge plus. It makes checking off tasks feel satisfying and it really helps me keep track of everything my team is working on.
Cons
The setup process could be a bit more user friendly and I think the overall design could be cleaner and more organized to make it even more user friendly.

“user friendly workflow tracking”
Pros
The platform is very user friendly which makes it simple to understand, assign workflows and keep track of progress.

A bit more HR focused support would make a big difference and would make things much easier for our HR teammates.

“Fantastic task tracking choice”
Pros
Among project management platforms, this is easily one of the most valuable tools out there. I really appreciate that you can create a project, assign subtasks to teammates and set deadlines all in one place. That makes it very clear who is responsible for what and exactly when each task needs to be finished. The task dependency feature is also incredibly useful because it lets you mark one task as waiting on another before it can move forward. That keeps more complex projects organized, helps prevent bottlenecks and makes sure important work gets done on schedule. I am also a big fan of the timelines, custom layouts and custom fields.
Cons
Our company has been using it for more than two years and it has been phenomenal the entire time. It has been excellent across the board and has significantly improved my team's productivity by making communication much simpler. I really cannot think of any downside to mention. It's just an outstanding piece of software.

“Highly helpful reminders”
Pros
Compared with a lot of project trackers, Asana has plenty of little touches that make it stand out. The biggest one for me is how flexible it is and how many customization options it gives you. You're not stuck with one color system or a fixed layout since both can be tailored for every project you're managing. The daily reminder emails are also really useful and I appreciate that the platform is portable enough that you're not tied to any standalone app.
Cons
After nearly six months of using it and finishing more than 30 projects with it, I still haven't run into any issues serious enough to put me off the platform. At this point it has been an excellent tool for our work.

“Handy task sharing for teams”
Pros
Even on the free plan, it has been really useful for me. Assigning tasks is very easy and being able to assign the same task to multiple people is especially helpful.
Cons
It does take consistent follow-through to get the most out of it. Things can get difficult when some team members aren't using it properly so if you decide to adopt it, everyone really needs to be on board together.

“Perfect task tracking that delivers”
Pros
Keeping tasks and teams organized with it has been really helpful. Plus it does a great job of keeping projects on schedule and it also cuts down the clutter in my inbox.
Cons
The interface could use some improvement in my opinion although it's possible I just haven't explored the customization options enough yet.

“Easy hub for collaborative planning”
Pros
It works really well as both a day to day task and project manager, while still being powerful enough for long term planning and team collaboration. The interface is user friendly in a way that makes me want to use it every day but it also goes far beyond a basic to-do list. Whenever I begin working with people from other institutions, I usually recommend using it as the main platform to keep everything organized.
Cons
The paid subscription setup could definitely be explained more clearly especially when the account is being shared by people from different institutions and it's not obvious who actually needs to pay. Pricing also feels less approachable for very small teams of one or two people since the structure seems aimed more at larger groups and businesses which does make sense to some extent.

“Built-in communication”
Pros
Getting started with it took almost no time and it fit right into our existing workflow without any disruption. The features I enjoy most are the celebrations and the built-in communication tools which have been really useful. It's also a big plus that there are versions available for all the major operating systems.
Cons
My biggest issue is that important notifications sometimes get buried in my email inbox and I don't see them until it's too late. I'd really like to see more notification options especially direct desktop alerts instead of relying only on email.

“Fantastic visibility across teams”
Pros
Across our marketing, sales and customer support teams, it has become the project management platform we rely on most. The board view is my favorite part because it gives me a clear look at every task my team is handling at once, what needs my review and what is currently blocked. It's also one of the simplest project management tools I have worked with and the appreciation stickers are a fun bonus.
Cons
There really isn't much to complain about. It's simple and user friendly overall but when a task has a lot of tags, seeing all of them at once can be difficult especially if you don't remember which color matches each tag.

“Top clear task tracking”
Pros
It is easy to use. You can set up multiple projects, invite different team members to each one, keep certain projects private when needed and assigning and tracking tasks is simple and efficient.
Cons
A Gantt view for seeing timelines more clearly would be a really useful addition. Aside from that, it already covers everything I need.

“Team collaboration that clicks”
Pros
One thing that really works well is how collaborative it feels since everyone can see what everyone else is working on. It's also really helpful to assign projects to myself and hand off responsibilities to other team members when needed.
Cons
At times it can be a bit slow although that may just be related to the internet connection. It's hard to tell for sure.

“Organized project tracking win”
Pros
Right away this tool felt very organized and simple to navigate. We use it to keep track of our projects and since putting it in place, we've seen a big improvement in how consistently projects get finished.
Cons
One area that could be better is collaboration. At the moment, each task can only be assigned to one person and it would be more helpful if multiple people could be assigned to the same task.

“Fantastic for school teamwork”
Pros
Using it to manage my school projects has been a huge help. It makes collaborating with my classmates much more practical and our communication is faster and clearer than relying on endless email threads.
Cons
Though the web platform is excellent and very user friendly. That said the mobile app doesn't perform as well as I expected and feels less efficient in comparison.

“A lifesaver for operations”
Pros
Running operations and management with Asana has been a real lifesaver. I used to rely on spreadsheets and everything felt scattered and hard to keep track of. Now all my information is organized in one place and I absolutely love using it!
Cons
The only downside is that the pricing for business teams can get expensive as more employees are added.

“Powerful task ownership tools”
Pros
There's a lot built into it and it makes assigning responsibilities and deadlines really hassle free. It also helps to control access well with user restrictions when needed.
Cons
You really need to commit to using it as your main collaboration hub instead of splitting communication across tools like Slack and others, otherwise it can get confusing and you may lose track of what should be prioritized.

Pros

“Powerful task tracking”
Pros
Among work management tools, this is easily one of the strongest options available. It lets you do more than just build a project such as you can assign subtasks to teammates, set deadlines and make responsibilities clear so everyone knows exactly what they own and when it needs to be finished. The task dependency feature is also really valuable for keeping complex work moving since you can flag one task as waiting on another and make sure projects stay on schedule without anything slowing progress down. On top of that features such as timelines, custom templates and custom fields make it even more useful.
Cons
Our organization has been using it for nearly two years and the experience has honestly been outstanding the whole time. It has improved my team's productivity in a big way and made collaboration much simpler across the board. I genuinely cannot think of anything negative to point out. “Powerful task dependencies”
Pros
One thing that really sets Asana apart is the ability to create dependencies between tasks which a lot of other tools still don't offer. It goes well beyond being just a virtual Kanban board and feels like a complete project management platform.
Cons
The free plan could definitely be more generous when it comes to feature access and usage limits. Aside from that from both a product and technical standpoint, it's a really amazing tool.
