Powerful team coordination

Pros

It turned out to be a really powerful communication and collaboration tool. Our company tested it and genuinely liked it but it offered more features than we actually needed for the way we planned to use it. In the end, we went with the simpler Microsoft To Do because it matched our needs better. Even so it was still an excellent tool for communication but it just wasn't the right fit for our specific use case.

Cons

It seems a bit overwhelming at first because it has so many features especially when compared with simpler tools like Microsoft To Do or Wunderlist. That is not really a negative in itself but it definitely meant there was more of a learning curve and it took extra time to get comfortable with everything.

Perfect choice for us

Pros

Repeating tasks is made simple at our workplace with the help of Asana. The mobile app is so great. It helps us plan things so easily.

Cons

Some features are still not available and we feel a little restricted.

Useful templates, missing budgeting

Pros

Everything runs quite quickly and being able to turn projects into templates is really useful.

Cons

One thing I'd really like to see is support for multiple start dates within a single project board, like Monday.com offers. A budgeting feature would also be helpful for tracking the progress of active campaigns and allowing currency values in the fields.

Helpful subtasks for big projects

Pros

Breaking down large tasks is where Asana works really well. The subtasks feature makes it much easier to manage bigger pieces of work and it's useful that each one can include its own description, attachments and comments.

Cons

The interface takes a while to fully figure out and task categorization still isn't visually clear enough even when using colored tags.

Flexible task tracking

Pros

Being able to keep up with personal tasks, check them off when they're done or reassign them when needed is something I really appreciated.

Cons

The platform itself works well but I struggle with how easily it can be used by managers to micromanage people.

Powerful kanban

Pros

Using it for a personal Kanban board has been really convenient and the web app seems very user friendly. The API also integrates well with other apps which makes it a great option when you need to connect it with your own setup.

Cons

Getting started can feel a bit overwhelming for new users and it would help a lot to have stronger tutorials for first-time users and developers. The API could also be easier to work with especially if the documentation were clearer and more detailed.

Handy task control for teams

Pros

Keeping up with team work and day to day tasks is much more manageable with this. It helps organize assignments, appointments and daily checklists in one place so there's less chance of missing anything important.

Cons

everything has been good for what I need since I am only using the free version. Some features aren't available or fully working there but I still enjoy using it for team task management and company planning.

Powerful task visibility

Pros

Keeping tabs on a huge number of marketing activations and all the related deliverables is much more manageable thanks to the strong tagging and search tools. Being able to add subtasks and loop collaborators into tasks makes responsibilities and deadlines very clear. The mix of list, calendar and kanban views works well because everyone on the team processes information differently so there's a format that fits each person. On top of that the interface seems clean and simple and features like my tasks and the inbox do a really good job of helping everyone stay updated on what's happening in their own area.

Cons

My only real complaint is that some of the more advanced features come with a fairly steep learning curve and it takes a lot of upfront planning and effort to structure everything properly in the platform and get the whole team trained on it. That said I suspect that's pretty normal when any team starts using a project management tool.

Agenda templates transformed meetings

Pros

Running our staff meetings from the agenda templates has been a real game changer especially for keeping track of next steps and monitoring progress.

Cons

Comments and subtasks can get buried pretty easily which makes it harder to track things down and find notes from earlier tasks.

Helpful gmail integration

Pros

Using this product is very easy and being able to link emails to tasks through the Gmail integration makes organizing work much more convenient.

Cons

One area that could be better is the selection of templates and a more affordable pricing option for smaller teams would make the product even more appealing.

Team workflows that click

Pros

Sharing projects with the team is really easy and setting up workflows and getting work done inside the system is very natural.

Cons

My biggest frustrations are that it isn't HIPAA compliant, color coding isn't available across all fields and the file conversion can be unreliable at times.

Modern design organized projects

Pros

The interface seems modern and visually appealing and it made my projects look much more organized and strategic.

Cons

It is built around a specific project management approach. If your team was not already working in a similar way before adopting it, adjusting to the workflow it expects can be a bit challenging.

Helpful organized

Pros

Keeping everything structured is exactly why this works so well for me. It helps you stay extremely organized, with everything laid out neatly like an online to-do list that's always there when you need it.

Cons

My only hesitation is that there's a real possibility Salesforce or another CRM could handle a lot of the same tasks so it may be replaceable.

Team organization powerhouse

Pros

Out of all the tools I use this is the one I rely on most. I am usually juggling several projects at once and it does a fantastic job of keeping both me and my supervisors organized in one place. It gives us room to brainstorm, share content, set goals, leave feedback and prioritize work without things getting scattered. Our team uses it every single day and honestly we love everything about it. I really cannot imagine our team working the way it does without this software.

Cons

Compared with Trello which I have also used and which feels fairly similar, Trello seemed a little more user friendly at first. That said I think that's mainly because this platform offers more functionality. There can be a bit of a learning curve if you want to take advantage of everything it can do but in the end, it's absolutely worth it.

Reliable team task management

Pros

It works really well for handling tasks and organizing work especially when a project involves two or more team members. It's a strong tool for project management Overall and the interface looks good even if it doesn't always feel very easy to use.

Cons

The interface isn't the most user friendly and that's even more noticeable on mobile. There can also be a bit of a learning curve for some users when they're figuring out how to use everything.

Workflow tracking that clicks

Pros

These days I am able to structure my entire day with it. It lets me follow my workflows and see right away what's already finished and what still needs attention, all in one view.

Cons

One frustrating part was that on the trial version, removing users you didn't want included in the system was difficult.

Powerful team tracking upgrade

Pros

Asana seems like a stronger version of Trello which is exactly what we were looking for. We already loved using Trello but needed something with more power behind it and this has been a perfect fit. It also makes it really simple to keep track of each person on the team and see exactly what they're working on.

Cons

Getting started with it can be a bit confusing at first since you need to figure out what each feature does and where to find everything. The built-in tutorial also isn't very helpful so the initial learning process takes more effort than expected.

Worth every bit for teamwork

Pros

Compared with other free tools, this one really feels worth using. It lets you keep all your projects and even your teams organized in one place and that has noticeably sped up our workflow.

Cons

At the beginning locating a project under a different team was a bit of a hassle. Once you get familiar with how it works though, it becomes much easier to manage things and find what you need.

Visual planning

Pros

As someone who plans visually, Asana's interface works really well because it gives me a clear, structured platform for managing projects. The templates are also a big plus and the integration library helps connect the tools I already use which makes my business processes more efficient.

Cons

Pricing starts to feel expensive once you move from 3 to 5 seats and as a business owner I am always trying to keep costs down. I also feel that any customer paying for the platform should be able to brand their workspace. I use Slack and on my current plan they don't place that kind of branding restriction.

Handy for managing projects

Pros

Managing multiple projects takes less time with this because it's easy to use which is always a big plus. Over the years, the app has also gotten much better and now it includes most of the features that used to be limited to the website.

Cons

A few features are still missing and some of the ones that are available are locked behind the paid plans. For a solo freelancer, it often doesn't feel worth paying those prices just to access one or two specific features.
