“Visual planning that clicks”
Pros
Asana is really versatile while still staying simple to use. The interface is beautifully designed for planning organizing and managing tasks and projects. I also enjoy how visual everything is since it makes it very easy to track the progress of different projects at a glance. The integrations with G Suite and many other apps are a big plus and having an automated daily to-do list helps keep the focus on execution.
Cons
The mobile app still has room for improvement and could be more user friendly. Right now it doesn't feel as good as the rest of the platform.

“Fantastic task planning flow”
Pros
Keeping projects and subtasks organized in Asana has been a big plus for me. The timeline feature works really well and I rely on recurring tasks every single day. Communication with coworkers inside project threads also feels very natural and convenient.
Cons
I do wish subtasks came with all the same capabilities as full projects. I am also not a fan of the automatic linking since it can duplicate subtasks and make everything feel cluttered and messy.

“Really clean interface”
Pros
The interface looks modern and the overall user experience seems very user friendly. It also integrates well with other software which makes it convenient to fit into an existing workflow.
Cons
One frustrating part is the pricing for the Primary plan. You cannot purchase it for just one user and have to pay for a minimum of five seats even if that's far more than you actually need.

“Easy timelines for big projects”
Pros
Setting up the timeline feature is easy and it's very simple to use. Plus it makes it really easy to visualize large projects over time.
Cons
The security and permission settings could be clearer. We created a lot of projects before realizing they were left open and adding someone to a task automatically gives them access to the entire project which is not always the behavior you want.

“Helpful easy”
Pros
After using it for 6 or 7 years I have watched the product improve a lot especially over the past few years. It's designed in a very user friendly manner so people can figure out the features without needing formal training. The interface is thoughtfully built, the functionality makes sense and the platform is quick and simple to work with. My team adopted it fast and has been using it very effectively to run marketing campaigns and manage projects.
Cons
One concern I have noticed is feature creep. Some of the newer additions are definitely useful but they need to be careful not to keep piling on too much and end up making the tool more complicated than it needs to be.

“Helpful cost-effective”
Pros
After a lot of research we needed a project management tool that was simple to use, fast to put in place and budget-friendly. This one ended up checking every box for us.
Cons
At this point there really isn't anything we dislike. We still haven't explored every feature in depth and there are plenty of them but nothing has come up that we don't like about the program.

“Reliable task planning platform”
Pros
One thing that works really well is how tasks can be created within a larger project, then assigned to specific team members with clear deadlines. It fits both short term and long term projects nicely and the option to archive completed work is helpful when you need to look back at past projects later. Overall it provides a clean and simple platform for managing projects.
Cons
The exporting features are quite limited and not very good.

“Team alignment”
Pros
Keeping everyone aligned has been a big plus. It's simple to use and being able to view other people's schedules and tasks at a glance really helps. The platform has made our team work more efficiently overall.
Cons
It could benefit from a few more features. Our team mostly used it for tracking tasks and schedules and it feels like the platform probably offers more than what we're taking advantage of. It would help if those additional capabilities were clearer and easy to navigate.

“Remote teamwork that clicks”
Pros
It is pretty easy to use and bringing the team on board doesn't take much effort either. Overall it's been really helpful for keeping projects organized and running efficiently especially when everyone is working remotely.
Cons
The free plan works well as a starting point for teams but it falls short for long-term projects since some important features, like Gantt charts, aren't included.

“Motivating workflows”
Pros
The platform felt visually appealing and genuinely motivating to use. The dependency feature was especially useful and the automated notifications helped keep everything on track.
Cons
One thing I didn't like was that getting access to portfolios with view-only permissions for other team members required upgrading the entire team.

“Organized workflow, awkward inbox”
Pros
I first started using it through a company building a website for me and they rely on it to manage due dates, scheduling and all the back-and-forth communication. It's pretty simple and user friendly overall. Since I really enjoy staying organized, the way everything is laid out works well for me and keeps things feeling on track.
Cons
The part I don't always enjoy is the inbox feature especially when I need to track down an older message thread. That can be frustrating and I often end up going back to old emails instead of trying to locate it directly on the site.

“Versatile task management favorite”
Pros
Asana has been part of my workflow since 2013 and I have brought it with me to every job since then. The flexibility is what keeps me using it. It works just as well for my personal day to day task tracking as it does for managing a team or running larger projects. There are plenty of prebuilt templates available and it's also simple to create your own recurring ones for things like board meetings or any project that follows the same steps each time. I recommend it all the time to other Executive Assistants because it usually integrates well and works nicely alongside most other programs.
Cons
One ongoing frustration is that it still doesn't support Google Aliases. If a company uses one main email address with aliases for different departments, it won't recognize those aliases which means you cannot email tasks or projects through them. It's not enough to make me stop using the platform but it definitely creates unnecessary hassle. I have noticed plenty of people have raised the same issue yet the company seems to ignore it and has shown no interest in fixing it. That attitude comes across as arrogant especially in situations like this and in how they seem to approach religious non-profits. It's disappointing because the software itself is genuinely very good but they seem too comfortable as they are and unwilling to be helpful.

“Team coordination made better”
Pros
It has completely improved the way we handle both workflows and day to day communication across teams, with a much higher level of organization and tracking. Moving away from email has been one of the best decisions for our team especially since we work remotely as well as across office spaces. Having tasks assigned to specific people with clear due dates creates accountability for everyone involved, while also giving other teams and managers full visibility into progress. I also really enjoy using the mobile app to quickly capture one-off task ideas to revisit later at my computer or to send a quick reply and keep a project moving forward.
Cons
this is a tough one because whenever we do run into an issue, the training materials or support team usually help us sort it out. If I had to point to one thing, it would be nice to have the option to add seats one user at a time instead of having to purchase them in bundles of five or more.

“Versatile features i rely on”
Pros
There's a lot packed into this software so it's honestly tough to narrow down a single favorite thing. The feature set is incredibly comprehensive which makes it versatile enough for me to use it in different roles without feeling limited. I can use it as an individual contributor, as part of a team and as a manager and it supports all of that really well. My Tasks is something I depend on every day to stay on top of my own workload and we also keep our team agendas and 1:1 agendas in it. Even our roadmap lives there as its own project. Advanced Search is another feature I use all the time especially when it comes to building reports from the results. I have used it for weekly KPI reporting and also to create reports where team members can assign tasks to themselves which has been especially useful during internship periods since interns can pick up work without having to wait for someone to assign it to them.
Cons
At times the platform does feel pretty sluggish. If there were one thing I'd want the engineering team to prioritize for a month or two, it would be cleaning up the backend and improving the overall speed.

“Quick setup, fast planning”
Pros
Getting started with it was refreshingly simple. A lot of tools in this category take hours of training before anything clicks but that wasn't the case here. I have used both the free and paid versions and within the first few minutes I was already mapping out my day and organizing my projects.
Cons
One thing I'd like improved is subtask editing. It can be a bit of a hassle to make changes to subtasks especially when you're not the admin assigned to the task.

“Flexible boards”
Pros
Running our agile product backlog in Asana has worked out really well because it's highly customizable. The free version is much more complete than most other tools and already includes the core features we need. Once our team gets bigger, I definitely expect to upgrade. Being able to manage several boards at the same time is also a big plus.
Cons
The area that still seems behind Jira is user-level tracking for completed tasks and team velocity. It would also help a lot to have a more agile-focused plugin especially for estimating or sizing cards.

“Powerful templates for staying on track”
Pros
Jumping into it is very easy because the templates and project management features are ready to use right away. As a small business owner, I rely on it to keep myself organized, manage contractors when needed and even help run a nonprofit organization. Even the free version does a really good job of keeping everything organized and helping you stay focused and moving ahead.
Cons
The biggest downside for me is the price of the paid plans. As a solopreneur, it's hard to justify spending that much per seat even though I'd really like access to features like Gantt charts and similar tools.

“Powerful rules”
Pros
The rules and forms are really useful though the view for them could be improved.
Cons
Calendar integrations still need work, there's no proper date field and it would help a lot to have a client-facing view where clients can just comment and follow task progress with the task fields visible, without needing to sign in.

“Better alternatives than asana”
Pros
Compared with other tools in this category, Asana has room to get better in pretty much every area I can think of.
Cons
I used it before but ended up switching to Slack because it works better for me. Loading takes longer, messaging feels less convenient, file access could be better and it doesn't handle team size as well either. Overall a lot still needs improvement.

“Confusing for project planning”
Pros
Adding tasks in the grid is fairly easy and it helps show which tasks are still open at a glance. That said the layout can still feel confusing.
Cons
I am not really a fan of this platform overall. It doesn't work well as a project management tool and feels much more suited to simple task management instead.
