“Functional but limited reporting”
Pros
It is easy to use and it does what it's supposed to do without feeling complicated at all.
Cons
Reporting features are lacking and the options for creating relationships between tasks are pretty limited.

“Really task tracking done right”
Pros
The tool is reliable and it gives a really clear way to visualize tasks and keep everything organized. I also like that it runs in the browser and sends notifications which helps me stay on top of things.
Cons
I haven't come across anything about this product that I dislike. If you're considering it, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

“Very custom fields”
Pros
Upgrading to the business plan has been absolutely worth it for managing work. Being able to build custom fields and then flip between views like calendar and board makes a huge difference on project-specific workflows. I am in the My Tasks screen every day to keep track of everything on my plate. Another big plus is Asana Academy which is free and offers detailed training that really walks you through everything the platform can do.
Cons
I'd really be nitpicking to come up with complaints because there's very little not to like. The platform is highly customizable and the support team has been responsive and genuinely helpful whenever needed.

“Powerful team task hub”
Pros
Using Asana seems like having one big interactive to-do list for the whole company. You can add comments, ask questions, assign deadlines and pretty much handle everything in one place. It offers a lot of features and flexibility and the design looks quite good too.
Cons
One slightly unusual thing is that it needs to reset itself pretty often. It seems to happen because the app gets updated almost every day and it asks for permission to restart. It's really not a major issue since it only takes a few seconds but it's still worth knowing about.

“Easy platform”
Pros
It is very user friendly. It's the only project management tool our company has used that the entire staff has fully adopted and supported.
Cons
There are still a few features we'd love to have especially email integration so we could send and track emails tied to specific projects.

“Simple task handling”
Pros
This is a great tool. Plus creating a task, assigning it to a user and working with the other features the software offers is all very simple.
Cons
One area that could be better is workspace management so it's easier to locate and remember which workspace a task was added to. I'd also improve the way projects are found since they only appear in the left-hand column with no search option. When the list gets long, finding the right project becomes very annoying.

“Color coded task tracking win”
Pros
At work this software has become really useful for keeping every task updated. We can assign tasks to individual team members, set deadlines organize everything by team or project and the color tags make it much more practical to manage at a glance.
Cons
The part I liked least is that you cannot assign a task to two people directly. You can only assign it to one person, while the other person just gets notified by email.

“Easy task tracking”
Pros
The tool is easy to work with which made getting started very hassle free. I also liked that it was free since that made it much more accessible. Having an inbox built in was another plus and the to-do list worked well especially with the ability to assign tasks to other team members.
Cons
Once I started piling in more tasks, keeping everything organized became a little harder than I expected. It wasn't really that anything was wrong with the software itself but the more I had to manage in it, the more complicated it began to feel. It may have come down to how I was using the platform but over time I started moving away from it because it felt like it was losing some of its value for me.

“Quick project visibility”
Pros
Asana works really well for tracking bugs and other projects across the organization. It gives a fast, clear overview of what's going on which makes it useful for staying on top of work.
Cons
The only downside is that it can feel a bit basic in how it's used although that really depends on how the company sets it up. For some teams, the setup may end up being too simple.

“Reliable collaboration for audit teams”
Pros
Using this with an audit team from another accounting firm worked really well for sharing information. The platform is user friendly, dependable and simple to work with throughout the process.
Cons
One concern came up after speaking with a customer service representative, who made me question how secure the software really is. Because of that, I don't think it would be the right fit for audits at larger companies where data security is a top priority.

“Clean boards”
Pros
The clean interface, along with the board layout and custom fields, works really well.
Cons
Managing subtasks especially in board view, seems complex because it takes too many clicks to get to them and there's no clear overall hierarchy showing parent and child tasks together.

“Life-changing for my business”
Pros
After 10 years in business I have always considered myself pretty organized but over the last year my system started falling apart. I was juggling random to-do lists stuck into my paper day planner along with my Google Calendar and things were slipping through the cracks. As a solopreneur, that's just not something I can afford. I started researching project management tools and compared the top three options myself before deciding on this one. I am honestly so happy I picked it. It works for larger companies but it can absolutely be adapted for a one-person business too. Once I found a YouTube tutorial showing how to set it up for solopreneurs, everything clicked and I was up and running. This software has been genuinely life changing for me and I cannot believe I didn't start using it sooner.
Cons
As a very small business owner with just one employee which is me, I do wish I didn't have to pay for two seats. With the Canadian dollar exchange rate being as bad as it is Right now the cost ends up being over $30 a month which feels expensive for a solo operation.

“Inbox control”
Pros
It is easy to find your way around most of the features though a few seem more aimed at power users. Overall it is been an excellent tool. One feature I really like is being able to turn an email into a task, attach that email to it and then archive the original message. That helps a lot with keeping my inbox under control and stops me from mentally holding onto emails I still need to deal with. The little celebrations that appear when I finish a task are also a fun touch. I also like being able to set due dates, assign tasks to teammates, add comments and reopen the attached email from the task to reply if needed.
Cons
Nothing really comes to mind. It does feel more powerful than what I personally need it for but for my use case such as managing emails, tasks and workload it works very well.

“Must-have for scrum tracking”
Pros
In today's scrum-driven workflow, this feels like a must-have tool. It's very simple to organize categories and manage lists without much effort.
Cons
One part that takes some figuring out is deleting items. Creating tasks and subtasks and assigning them to the right people is quick but removing a flow after a mistake can take a bit of time to understand.

“Flexible project organization”
Pros
Being able to separate work into different projects and organize the workflow clearly is really helpful.
Cons
It tends to work more like a standalone tool when you're dealing with multiple systems and processes in a remote setup. It also needs frequent updates so everyone on the team stays informed.

“Helpful task management”
Pros
Asana works well for assigning work and getting tasks completed although there are moments when assigning tasks or viewing them can feel a bit confusing.
Cons
At times it is not very clear which tasks have been assigned to me. The sections could also be organized better which would improve the software overall.

“Love having asana everywhere”
Pros
I am a huge fan of it. I use it everywhere I go and after changing jobs, I was really happy to see that my new team uses it too. The mobile app is something I absolutely love as well as it's very user friendly.
Cons

“Flexible board view win”
Pros
As a to-do list organizer, this worked really well for me. The biggest advantage is being able to switch the type of view for each project. Since I am a visual person, seeing my projects and tasks in the Board view instead of a traditional list completely changed how I organize things. It's surprising how much a different layout can help with sorting out your thoughts and keeping track of to-dos. I also really appreciated the drag-and-drop function which makes it simple to rearrange and reorganize items whenever needed.
Cons
I originally wanted something I could use more broadly for project management. It seems like the platform has the features to handle that but only if teammates or coworkers are actually committed to using it properly. That feels less like a flaw with the software itself and more like an issue with how my company approaches tools like this. To really get the most out of it, everyone involved should have at least some basic training on how to use it. If that happens, it could realistically cut down a lot on internal office emails.
