“Strong collaboration and productivity”

One thing that really works well with Asana is the wide range of features and capabilities it offers for team collaboration and boosting productivity. It does an excellent job when it comes to managing tasks and keeping projects organized.

Cons

There have only been a few minor challenges with the tool.

“Powerful workflows”

Pros

Automatic workflows and built-in forms are the standout features for me and the part I appreciate most about using Asana.

Cons

The only downside I'd mention is that the desktop app crashes pretty often for me.

Connecting this tool with other software has been really useful. Plus it works well for project management and assigning tasks to different people is pretty easy too.

visual layout doesn't really fit my preferences and some information wasn't very easy to locate.

It has a user friendly interface and its task management tools are excellent. Plus it keeps projects organized, improves team collaboration and includes helpful integrations that make the workflow more efficient.

At the same time the large number of features can feel overwhelming for new users. The premium plans are expensive and some tools feel too limited unless you upgrade.

Ever since we brought it in for project management, our operations have improved noticeably and things are running much better overall.

My only complaint is that there's no way to select multiple tasks and update the assignee or due date in bulk so you have to handle them one by one.

This tool is very easy to use and the free version still comes with plenty of useful features.

It would be even better if it offered more integrations for reviewing deliverables without having to share links.

Asana works really well for team collaboration especially when it comes to managing projects and keeping everyone aligned.

Getting a large number of notifications can be pretty annoying and uncomfortable at times.

Pros

Working together in Asana feels really well organized because it keeps everyone aligned across projects. One of the best parts is having all the how-to documentation right there in the software so it's simple to find what you need without looking elsewhere.

One thing I wasn't a fan of is how projects are shown on the left side of the window. Even closed projects still appear in the full project list which makes it feel a bit cluttered.

Pros

Everything about it is easy to use without a bunch of unnecessary extras getting in the way. It's simple to understand and just as simple to navigate day to day.

Cons

It's an excellent fit for beginners but anyone who needs more advanced capabilities may notice that some deeper functionality is missing.

“Free plan is fantastic”

Pros

For a small team or a new business the free version is honestly the biggest advantage. It's a really amazing way to get started and see how everything works before committing to anything more.

Cons

At the beginning it was a little confusing to figure out the difference between the free features and the paid options.

In our marketing team, Asana is fantastic for planning projects. Everything stays visible at all times and we don't have to keep every little task in mind ourselves.

Overall this tool was simple to navigate, quick to learn and had all the features I needed to make it a useful productivity tool.

At the same time it came with a lot of functions that didn't really feel useful. Getting my colleagues trained on it was also a bit of a challenge.

Pros

The best thing about it is how visual and flexible it feels. The different views, like the Kanban board and the calendar, make project management much easier to understand. It's also really useful for team collaboration since everyone can track tasks in real time which cuts down on unnecessary back-and-forth.

Cons

That said getting started can feel a bit overwhelming. The interface is pretty crowded and it takes some time to figure everything out. On top of that a few very useful features are only available in the paid version which can be frustrating for smaller teams.

“Flexible views and customization”

It is easy to use and customizing it to fit the way I work is just as simple. Also it offers a really nice range of project views which makes it easier to manage different types of work.

Cons

One thing I'd still like improved is the way due dates are assigned to tasks. Having to open the calendar for every single task can be a bit tedious and it would be much better if I could choose one due date and have the rest populate automatically based on the number of days between each task's deadline.

The free plan gives you everything needed to get a lot of real value out of it.

If you're not careful, it's pretty easy to overcomplicate the way you use it.

Having everything centralized for projects and documentation has been really helpful for our team. It also brings a lot more clarity to the planning process which makes organizing and moving projects toward our goals much better.

It has been the best project management tool I have used to reach my project goals so I honestly don't have any dislikes about it.

Getting it set up in a way that's actually useful takes a lot of time and keeping everything maintained also requires ongoing effort.

Asana is an excellent fit for detail-oriented project managers or teams that really enjoy building out organized workflows with a bit of flexibility. It offers a huge range of customization options, like setting rules for tasks once a due date is reached or assigning collaborators to child tasks connected to a larger parent action.

Cons

Because there are so many customization features available, teams may end up spending too much time on the initial setup while trying to tailor the platform to their industry, project types, tasks and milestones.

One thing that really stands out is how customizable it is based on what you need. I can keep task tracking very simple or make it more tailored and unique which works really well since every project has different requirements.

Cons

Even though it's a very powerful platform, it can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming trying to figure out which setup or features will be the best fit for a specific project or task.
