“Productive teamwork and transparency”

Pros

Asana makes task management much simpler and boosts collaboration by giving our team one central place to plan projects and track progress. The clear organization and visibility have been a real productivity boost for us.

Cons

It can start to feel a bit cluttered with more complex projects and there's definitely a learning curve especially for new users.

After a short trial period, you have to pay to keep using it.

Tasks are arranged in a way that makes a lot of sense especially with separate levels for personal work, team items and broader task management.

More than six years have passed since I first rolled it out and it has continued to deliver. The mobile app includes all the features I need to keep business processes organized and running efficiently.

Cons

All of the features are available without any complications so I haven't run into issues on that side.

The interface is very user friendly so getting started doesn't take much time. The most important features are also easy to access which makes day to day use really convenient.

The pricing is set up in packages and it would be much more convenient if it followed a one user, one license approach instead.

I find it simple to navigate and comes with a decent Kanban style interface that works really well.

It could do more to help reduce the amount of email back-and-forth.

When working on team projects, it has been genuinely helpful for collaboration. Task and project based communication is also not hassle and the interface is clean and easy to use.

It really doesn't come across like they care much about you as a customer. Support is slow even at the best of times and the constant email spam gets frustrating fast.

It does a really good job of keeping me updated on everything I am currently working on, including any tasks that are overdue.

I'd just prefer to get notifications a bit earlier although that could simply be a personal preference.

Pros

Asana is quick and lightweight yet still packs a lot of powerful features. Its large integration marketplace adds huge value and the workflow tools make setting up new projects and goals incredibly simple.

Cons

One thing that's missing is a reliable way for non-IT users to submit ideas into a queue or project. Having that option would make it much more useful as an intake point for internal staff.

Pros

Usability is one of its biggest strengths and bringing new team members on board is really easy.

Cons

There isn't anything major I dislike about it but if I had to point to one thing, the mobile app could be a bit more user friendly.

Getting started is pretty confusing at first and there's definitely a learning curve in the beginning.

As a freelance writer, working with clients who already use it felt very easy. Plus it made the writing workflow simple to follow.

Nothing really stands out as a downside. From my first look and a few tests, it actually seemed easier to navigate than something like Trello.

Using it has been a really positive experience. The interface is user friendly, managing tasks is easy and the collaboration features work exceptionally well for keeping everyone aligned.

One thing that really works well is how simple it is to use and I can get to it from both my phone and computer whether I am at home or traveling somewhere. The interface is also user friendly so it's very easy to see what needs to be done.

On the downside, it can feel a little overwhelming because of how many features it includes and I sometimes get lost in the different options and settings which makes it harder to stay focused on my tasks. The notifications can also be a bit excessive and because of that I occasionally miss important updates.

Along with good project and task management, it also includes collaboration features and instant messaging tools which makes it really useful for team communication.

The lag I had been dealing with on the iOS app went away on its own after I updated to the latest version last week.

“Auto-tasks and fun visuals”

Pros

Setting up automations has been one of the best parts for me. I use recurring tasks all the time and it's really helpful that when I complete a certain action on a task, it can automatically move that task into another section. On top of that the platform is very simple to navigate and looks really nice visually. Even the unicorn animations flying across the screen add a fun kind of positive reinforcement.

Cons

I am a big fan overall but there are still a few features missing that I really wish were already available. One example is that I wanted to make a task template from a subtask but learned that templates can only be created from full tasks, not subtasks. I also contacted support to ask whether I could at least copy subtasks from one task and use them in another as a workaround but that wasn't possible either.

Pros

Asana offers some of the strongest PPM capabilities I have used and I rely on it every day to automate workflows like time tracking and project management.

Cons

I honestly don't have anything to complain about because it covers everything I need.

Working in it is fun and it lets us manage multiple projects with plenty of team members all from one interface.

A few features can be a bit tucked away At times although that's pretty common with tools like this.
