As a director it's incredibly convenient to assess my team's tasks their progress and available capacity using Asana. It allows me to remotely view add and update tasks facilitating collaboration and reducing unnecessary communication.

Unlike apps like ToDoist I find that Asana's layout can sometimes be perplexing for users. However with some time spent using the app it becomes more userfriendly.

When using Asana with a client I need to open a new window for them which can be improved. However all other aspects of Asana remain unbeatable.

While Asana boasts numerous strengths there are a few areas for improvement. One of these is the reporting and analytics capabilities. While Asana provides basic reporting features such as progress tracking and task completion rates the depth of insights and advanced analytics options is somewhat limited. Users in need of more sophisticated data analysis and reporting may find themselves seeking external reporting tools.

“Pay Per Seats is misleading they make you pay for users you don't use”

Before upgrading our plan Asana was easy to set up and allowed us to create and assign simple tasks with ease.

Cons

The payment options offered by Asana are misleading. Although they advertise pricing based on seats they require users to pay for more seats than they actually use. For instance with 7 users we were forced to pay for 10+ users resulting in over 1000 per year for unused seats. This approach is misleading and provides a negative customer experience especially for smaller organizations seeking cost efficiency.

Asana's ease of learning setup and implementation has made it a favorite. Everyone I've introduced to Asana has embraced it readily and was able to adopt it swiftly.

Although Asana offers more features than we currently need due to our ERP system we still enjoy the abundance of features and options it provides.

I sometimes encounter difficulties when attempting to assign colors to project tabs to match our brand colors.

The flexibility to work in different views such as Kanban or lists adds to its value. Asana offers excellent accessibility team collaboration forms and comprehensive organizing capabilities.

Cons

The custom rules limitations on the professional plan can be frustrating considering the price gap between professional and business plans. Assigning a task to multiple individuals for visibility purposes could be an improvement even though task completion responsibility typically falls on one person. Collaboration sometimes requires revisiting the previous task before moving on to the next.
