Clear visibility but can get noisy

Pros

What this tool does really well is give a clear view of what's happening across work and the flexible project views make it easier to manage tasks in the way that suits the team. It's fairly simple to use and the integrations with tools like Teams and Slack are also very helpful.

Cons

Asana can start to feel complicated and a bit noisy when the right structure isn't set up from the beginning. The pricing can also climb pretty quickly if you need access to more advanced features.

efficient project views

Pros

Switching between project views felt really convenient and being able to create multiple views within a single project made it simple to share the most important information with my team at the same time.

Cons

I don't really have any complaints. It took me a little while to get used to the platform since I'm a slow learner but once I adjusted, I became familiar with it and now feel confident using Asana.

Rigid workflows

Pros

The task management features are especially helpful because I can assign work to a teammate and get notified when the task is finished.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is having to leave the platform to open a document or spreadsheet. My team also struggled at times to make sure everyone was working from the latest version of a file. That is not entirely on the product but it was still difficult getting everyone to stick to the workflows. Also, once a workflow is created, it cannot be changed.

task tracking powerhouse

Pros

Something that really stood out to me with Asana was how capable and flexible it is for tracking work. It helps a lot with organizing projects, assigning tasks, setting due dates and keeping up with progress as things move along in real time. The interface looks clean and polished and the different views like timelines, boards and lists make it convenient to manage work in whatever format fits your style best. Team collaboration also works really well especially when multiple people are involved.

Cons

There are a lot of features packed into the platform so it takes a little time to understand how everything fits together. On top of that some of the more advanced tools are locked behind paid plans which might not feel like the best value for smaller teams or individual users.

clear task flow for small teams

Pros

Running my beauty coworking space has been really practical. It's especially helpful with part-time staff because I can assign tasks, follow progress and keep everything organized without needing constant back-and-forth. That cuts down a lot of the daily chaos. The part I appreciate most is how clear everything is: everyone knows what needs to be done and by when. It keeps the business structured even when the team isn't always on-site. Overall it's a simple and effective tool for managing small teams and flexible schedules.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve and getting part-time staff started takes some extra explanation at first. Because my team works part-time, I ended up creating written instructions so they could better understand how to use the system.

great free plan for tasks

Pros

Right out of the gate the free plan covers more than enough for what I need and includes all the basic but important features. It's very easy, simple to navigate and makes keeping up with my tasks and projects really simple.

Cons

The pricing feels a bit high if I want access to the extra features that would be nice to have although the free version already handles everything I personally need.

Quick reporting and task assignment

Pros

Asana gives really good value for the money. Assigning tasks to different team members is simple, the integrations are simple to set up and reporting and tracking are much faster and easier to handle.

Cons

Customer support could be better since you have to send an email and then wait for an agent to be assigned. Once someone picks it up though, the issue gets resolved quickly.

team organization done right

Pros

It does an excellent job of keeping our entire team organized. Creating one-time tasks or setting up recurring ones is very simple and it cuts down a lot on back-and-forth communication. It delivers a lot of value for the price and has been well worth it for us.

Cons

Honestly my only wish is that I had a reason to use it at home too and not just for work. Aside from that, I really don't have any complaints about Asana and would absolutely recommend it.

Convenient team coordination

Pros

Keeping everyone updated on project progress is simple which makes it much easier to communicate with teammates. It also helps surface task blockers quickly so they can be addressed and resolved faster.

Cons

The basic plan feels a bit limited and I think it should either include more features or the premium tiers should be priced lower. There are a few tools locked behind higher-level plans that really seem like they should be available in the lower tiers as well.

Aids team Collaboration

Pros

The timeline view is especially helpful for keeping everyone organized and improving accountability.

Cons

Costs can add up as the team grows and some of the more advanced features are locked behind higher-tier plans. Reporting and customization also feel a bit limited when compared with more technical project management tools.

Project tracking that delivers

Pros

Keeping up with projects and subtasks is really easy and sharing work with teammates or outside collaborators is just as convenient. It makes coordination across both internal and external groups feel much more manageable.

Cons

The interface seem a little confusing At times and it took some getting used to before I knew where everything was. Getting started was a bit tricky in the beginning.

perfect fit for app projects

Pros

Asana has been an amazing choice for our ongoing mobile app development work. The email feature helps us handle tech support tickets more efficiently and makes it simple to route tasks to the right department.

Cons

It can take a bit of time for non-technical users to get comfortable with it. Once they figure out how it works though, the whole process runs really well.

Great help with scheduling

Pros

Having Agentic AI built into Asana has been incredibly useful for planning out the work week. It keeps my schedule from getting too packed or overwhelming and really acts like a reliable assistant when it comes to managing and organizing tasks.

Cons

I have been using it for quite a while and honestly I don't have any complaints about it. The interface and features are easy to navigate and I haven't run into any issues using them.

Deadline tracking that delivers

Pros

It has been fantastic for keeping up with important deadlines in my real estate transactions. It really helps me assign dates and tasks to other team members and it works just as well for managing private projects too.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is a bit more functionality, like a built-in chat or messaging center. Aside from that, I genuinely enjoy using it every day.

quick setup and useful integrations

Pros

It's simple to set up an organization and get teams up to speed without much training. The growing number of integrations also helps keep Asana useful and relevant across different workflows.

Cons

The licensing model is a real downside. To access some of the stronger features, the whole organization has to upgrade to a higher tier. There are tools that are clearly valuable for project managers but unnecessary for people only handling tasks so a role-based subscription option would make much more sense.

affordable value

Pros

The interface is simple so it doesn't take much time to understand how everything works and bringing new team members on board is quick with very little training needed. It's also budget-friendly for small businesses which makes it a really practical option without giving up useful functionality.

Cons

The move to the newer platform was a little challenging especially when it came to making sure everything carried over properly. It was manageable overall but the transition did need some extra attention.

fantastic team collaboration tools

Pros

Working with teams across different kinds of projects has been really convenient. The platform is simple to use and assigning tasks with clear descriptions takes very little effort. The free version was also an excellent option for smaller teams.

Cons

Even though Asana works really well for teams, I still wish there were a version designed for personal use that included a timeline view and Gantt chart since those features would be very helpful for managing personal projects too.

Powerful task tracking features

Pros

Asana has been enjoyable and it gives me a reliable way to keep track of tasks and monitor my employees remotely. That saves me a lot of time and lets me concentrate more on reaching our company goals. It also comes with plenty of features that are really helpful for managing tasks.

Cons

Getting started can be a bit challenging because the learning curve is not very beginner-friendly but aside from that, the rest of Asana has been very good.

organized work with flexible tasks

Pros

The software felt very user-friendly and I really appreciate how many fields each task can include since it lets me add all the details I need in one place. It also offers plenty of integrations and connects well with other apps. That's a big reason I enjoy using it so much.. it keeps my work organized.

Cons

Overall I've had a very positive experience with it. The only thing I'd really like to see is integration with Siri, Google Assistant and Gemini in the near future so organizing everything by voice could be even more efficient.

templates for workflows

Pros

Setting up templates for specific workflows or briefs is simple which makes Asana really useful for the way we work. We mainly rely on it to manage long-term projects and task-heavy processes like onboarding and offboarding.

Cons

Like with most project management tools, the downside is that it's possible to spend too much time tracking and documenting tasks instead of focusing on the actual work that drives results.
