Helps track deadlines

Pros

I've found the app really helps me stay on top of my tasks, letting me track deadlines and clearly see who each item is assigned to and when it's due and the option to switch between calendar and list views makes it simple for me to spot what needs attention quickly.

Cons

One improvement I'd like to see is for subtasks and items nested under main tasks to be more visible within the overall list view so I don't have to open each task just to glance at its components.

Invaluable for startup tasks

Pros

Having moved completely onto the platform, I've found Asana to be an invaluable tool that has helped me navigate the myriad tasks involved in building my startup.

Cons

That said, I find their customer support to be woefully inadequate for a business-grade tool we depend on every day and in my experience a 24-48 hour response window is far too slow, they urgently need to cut turnaround times significantly.

Powerful for project workflows

Pros

Our team has found Asana to deliver powerful project management capabilities that let us organize, plan and organize project workflows in ways that make hitting our goals much more realistic because the platform compiles tasks, timelines and responsibilities into a coherent plan. I also rely on the visual project boards and tracking tools which give a clear, at-a-glance view of task status and let us monitor progress for each item throughout the project lifecycle. We benefit from built-in collaboration tools that facilitate efficient communication and coordinated work across the team and the platform's detailed reporting functions provide transparent insights into whether we're exceeding or missing expectations as projects progress.

Cons

We've had a consistently smooth and effective experience with Asana and honestly haven't discovered anything that feels wrong or lacking for our workflows, the feature set maps well to our needs and is simple to use. I haven't come across gaps that force workarounds and the dependable customer support has reinforced that smooth experience by responding helpfully when minor questions pop up which together means the platform fits our team without friction.

Clean UI and smooth workflow

Pros

With its clean, minimal UI and smooth dashboard plus solid multi-app integrations, I've been relying on Asana for nearly three years to coordinate my remote teams and in my experience it consistently delivers a more smooth workflow than competing tools like ClickUp.

Cons

It's not a deal-breaker but I sometimes find the array of keyboard shortcuts a bit intimidating to master and I wish they'd included a few of the more advanced features from their paid tiers in the free version, nonetheless, the no-cost plan still serves small teams quite well.

Visually appealing and affordable

Pros

I find Asana's user interface visually appealing and very simple which makes it simple for our team to navigate and get things done, their pricing is surprisingly affordable given the functionality and I also like that customer support is available around the clock to answer any questions users may have.

Cons

Honestly I can't think of anything negative to say about Asana, it has been a fantastic tool for our workflows and we've now been using it consistently for four years.

Great for organizing client projects

Pros

What I really like is the ability to organize client projects and place them onto a calendar timeline so I can clearly see when each piece needs to be completed and on top of that I can sort or filter projects by client which makes juggling multiple accounts much more manageable and less chaotic.

Cons

One thing that bugs me is the sheer volume of reminder emails I get although I've found I can remedy that by tweaking my personal notification settings so I'm not constantly being flooded.

Synchronized multiple teams

Pros

Through Asana, I was able to synchronize our design, development and content teams around common timelines so there was no confusion and it has settled into our everyday workflow, I rely on it every single day for handing off projects and keeping track of campaigns.

Cons

When I need to view tasks across several workspaces filtered by assignee or tag, I'm forced to either export the information or purchase a paid add-on which adds extra steps and complicates the workflow.

Top for breaking down tasks

Pros

I find it's the top choice when it comes to breaking down tasks into more manageable pieces and maintaining clearer follow-up using table views, lists or even customized layouts, plus I really appreciate that automated reminders are built in and work reliably.

Cons

Nearly every day I use it and to be frank, I struggle to spot any real shortcomings, I even returned just to say that, in my view, it's the best one available.

Go-to for small team

Pros

For our small team, it's become a go-to tool, it's widely known and highly adaptable which is one of the main reasons I like it.

Cons

I find it can feel somewhat generic at times and there are specific features that other platforms handle more effectively but overall I still think Asana does a solid job.

Works just the way I liked

Pros

For what I need as project-management software, it continues to work just the way I liked and relied on and I find it more simple than before to set up and arrange tasks.

Cons

Honestly there are so many paywalls these days that it feels like a lot of the functionality I used to get for free has been tucked behind subscriptions and while I appreciate that the service needs revenue, it seems the free tier offers far less than it once did, presumably to help cover the costs of all those new AI-powered features.

Helps keep projects organized

Pros

I find Asana really helps me keep projects organized and easy to see since it offers flexible perspectives like Kanban boards, list views and timelines and because its simple interface along with clear task assignments and status updates helps the team stay aligned and accountable without a steep learning curve.

Cons

From my experience Asana can become a bit unwieldy when projects are large and multi-phase particularly if you're juggling deep task hierarchies or dependencies across multiple projects and I've noticed its built-in reporting and customization capabilities feel limited unless I bring in third-party add-ons or move up to a pricier tier.

Incredibly handy for collaboration

Pros

I find it incredibly handy when collaborating with colleagues and I pair it with Retainr.io which has proven to be exceptionally helpful for our workflow.

Cons

From my perspective some of the features are on the pricey side depending on which subscription tier I select and although the native iOS and Android apps work well Overall I think they could benefit from a more refined user experience.

Simple to navigate with great support

Pros

I really appreciate how simple Asana is to navigate since the interface feels simple and welcoming and whenever I've needed help the support team has responded promptly which I absolutely love.

Cons

So far, we haven't run into any real issues with Asana and there's nothing negative for me to report because it has been functioning smoothly ever since our team started using it.

easy to handle tasks

Pros

I find it simple to handle tasks because the app lets me organise them into categories, attach notes and set up projects which really helps me keep my workload under control.

Cons

However I often run into problems with date handling when I'm organising lists because dates need to be adjusted by hand, for instance, when I break tasks into monthly groups I have to manually move each task into the proper month which becomes tedious.

Great for assigning distinct tasks

Pros

One feature I really appreciate is how it facilitates collaboration across various team members and I could assign distinct tasks to specific people so that responsibility for each item was clearly defined and easy to track.

Cons

I found the free tier far too restrictive given our team's requirements at that moment which meant we couldn't access essential features and it hindered our workflow more than I expected.

Pros

When it comes to managing projects, I've found Asana to be the best option, offering an extremely user-friendly interface that I navigate effortlessly and on top of that, it remains very affordable.

Cons

I really can't think of any negatives to mention about Asana, ever since we began adopting it into our workflow, we've experienced consistently smooth performance and reliable behavior.

Excellent for organizing projects

Pros

I've found Asana to be an excellent solution for organizing projects, with a clean, simple interface that makes setting up projects and adding tasks incredibly simple and because it offers so many features, it has really simplified collaboration across our entire team.

Cons

Honestly the learning curve wasn't the easiest, depending on how many projects I'm managing it can feel cluttered so I found it's crucial to spend time learning Asana before diving in.

Effortless setup for collaboration

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how effortlessly I can set up projects and tasks that are easy to access which makes cross-department collaboration much more transparent, I also find the ability to add subtasks within a single task very useful because it keeps follow-ups consistent and makes the whole handoff process feel more cohesive and manageable.

Cons

I've been using it for two years and, despite that experience, I still have trouble quickly locating tasks I've created or that others have assigned especially when I'm trying to triage my workload while drafting or editing a task is simple when it's open, what really frustrates me is the absence of powerful search tools or personalized folder views and bookmarking that don't depend on an earlier notification which would help surface my individual priorities more effectively.

Structures workflows well

Pros

For our kind of work, the way workflows and communications are structured suits us well, I can easily see active projects and linking tasks across them makes things smoother.

Cons

Asana feels simple if you've already used Notion or Trello so personally I don't notice any major drawbacks.

Connects to email and consistent across devices

Pros

Because I can connect it to my email, I end up moving tasks directly from my inbox into Asana without any fuss and the app is simple and consistent to use across all of my platforms and devices.

Cons

A lot of the features are locked behind a paid subscription and aren't accessible to basic users which frustrates me, I would really prefer if they provided multiple paid tiers to choose from so I could pick a level that matches my needs.
