The single-button punch in/out feature and the simple time tracking for PTO and my timesheet is something I like the most.
Cons
You might need some training to understand how to use time coding settings and categories. Later it becomes simple once you get familiar with your project codes.

Timekeeping feature in Ascentis worked well for me. However it did not connect to our payroll system so I had to manually enter any non productive time into payroll every other week.
Cons
Customer service for Ascentis is virtually non existent. It was so minimal that I had to email the CEO and other high level executives to resolve my issues.

Pros
One of the standout feature of Ascentis is their support. Its very uncommon for us to wait more than one or two business days to resolve an issue or get an answer to a question. If its urgent they address the issue right away. furthermore we have a dedicated Account Manager who is highly responsive and helpful. Even when our Account Managers change, they were quickly updated about everything related to our requirements and we have not experienced any lapses in service.
Cons
Modules to some extent disorganized. We have to log into separate applications for payroll, HR and timekeeping. They are working on centralizing and web based solutions but they have not achieved that yet.

Ascentis is a software that is very easy to set up and the support has been very helpful with any questions. As our first HRIS its ideal to have all representative data in one place. The system has also been easy to update.
Cons
One of the biggest challenge for us is getting timely responses to tax questions since the assessment division is not always readily available. They might be in a different city which creates a time difference and we have to email them to get solutions.

Finally I am moving away from useless paper! The HR side worked seamlessly with the payroll side which allows us to updating information pretty easily. Moreover employee self service is handy (provided employees know how to use computers) allowing them to update their information and complete open enrollment online.
Cons
The transition was very difficult. Its unclear how much of the difficulty was due to their side versus ours. During implementation calls, their team often did not understand our concerns and questions which made the process more difficult. I did not handle payroll but our payroll specialist mentioned it lacked features that our previous basic software had like different pay rates for various shifts.
