Pros

Everything is available on one website like track all benefits, time and payroll which is great.

Cons

Ascentis software did not save information from previous years. For instance if I wanted to review or change my 401k elections, I cannot go back and see what I selected in the past.

Everything is available in one spot and the security measures make sure that my documentation remains protected.

Cons

To be honest there is not much to say except one thing that it should have an easy to navigate portal. I feel like it is very important.

The single-button punch in/out feature and the simple time tracking for PTO and my timesheet is something I like the most.

Cons

You might need some training to understand how to use time coding settings and categories. Later it becomes simple once you get familiar with your project codes.

Timekeeping feature in Ascentis worked well for me. However it did not connect to our payroll system so I had to manually enter any non productive time into payroll every other week.

Cons

Customer service for Ascentis is virtually non existent. It was so minimal that I had to email the CEO and other high level executives to resolve my issues.

Ascentis software is highly intuitive. I use it daily to keep staff updated on all information and it also helps me track their personal details.

Ascentis software is impressive and the help desk is consistently attentive and responsive.

A good software that offers a lot of inbuilt features where employees are able to share and collaborate on documents with their management.

The system overall is a little slow. It takes a long time for the pages to load. The files are also hard to find at times.

This is an excellent solution. The layout is simple and easy to understand for new users. The Team is also very cooperative, they helped us out and answered to our emails in a timely manner.

The system is incredible! We were able to install it quickly and get everything in order. There were no problems with communication in general. It is amazing.

As I mentioned before in the cons there is nothing I liked about this product. It is not at all approachable for anyone.

Pros

One of the standout feature of Ascentis is their support. Its very uncommon for us to wait more than one or two business days to resolve an issue or get an answer to a question. If its urgent they address the issue right away. furthermore we have a dedicated Account Manager who is highly responsive and helpful. Even when our Account Managers change, they were quickly updated about everything related to our requirements and we have not experienced any lapses in service.

Cons

Modules to some extent disorganized. We have to log into separate applications for payroll, HR and timekeeping. They are working on centralizing and web based solutions but they have not achieved that yet.

Ascentis is a software that is very easy to set up and the support has been very helpful with any questions. As our first HRIS its ideal to have all representative data in one place. The system has also been easy to update.

One of the biggest challenge for us is getting timely responses to tax questions since the assessment division is not always readily available. They might be in a different city which creates a time difference and we have to email them to get solutions.

Overall, I find it to be a great system. Once you become familiar with how things work everything is easy to understand.

Customer service is not up to the mark. It takes too long to get help after sending an email to support and we are charged for every small change we want to make.

I really like that this software lets me view everything at once. I can see my time off and current clock in on the same screen. Also it is fairly easy to use and includes a bookkeeping function that makes issuing paychecks easier than with other software.

Sometimes I see different leave amounts on various screens without any explanation why there is this much inconsistencies.

Everything has been fairly easy and simple to understand so far. Its quite intuitive and easy to navigate. So no complaints

I am very much happy with Ascentis mainly with it is timekeeping feature. I know exactly how to use its features and have reliably tracked my hours through it.

I have no issues with Ascentis! Maybe because we only use Ascentis to track hours worked and it works well for that purpose.

All employee self service options from paycheck and W4 integration to benefits selection are combined into a single self service solution.

Cons

Timecard and payroll are not directly integrated so we have to coordinate with third parties, which can lead to problems if there are issues with payroll.

Pros

Ascentis was our HRIS system a few years ago and it was excellent for managing all our employee data. It was highly customizable and the help desk was very supportive.

I feel like remote desktop style is not suitable for us so we switched to a cloud based HRIS system. However I do miss the flexibility that HRO offered.

“Good product needs some tweaks

Pros

Finally I am moving away from useless paper! The HR side worked seamlessly with the payroll side which allows us to updating information pretty easily. Moreover employee self service is handy (provided employees know how to use computers) allowing them to update their information and complete open enrollment online.

Cons

The transition was very difficult. Its unclear how much of the difficulty was due to their side versus ours. During implementation calls, their team often did not understand our concerns and questions which made the process more difficult. I did not handle payroll but our payroll specialist mentioned it lacked features that our previous basic software had like different pay rates for various shifts.

Employee information is managed pretty well now. The software provides useful links for everything needed to manage employees or for employees to keep track of their own information.

Cons

Organizing can be a bit complex and cause a lot of frustration at times but its a manageable issue. Moreover load times can be slow and clunky.

Its great for posting jobs and reviewing applicants. Also its easy to use for these tasks and keeps track of salary input, review status and employee longevity.

The back end of Ascentis is not very accessible for mass communication and employee portal information unless you are experienced with HTML format.

Ascentis layout could be improved as it seems repetitive in certain areas. Support can sometimes take a while to reach by phone.

Some employees are asking HR to check with Ascentis about the availability of a mobile app. I hope one is in the works!
