I just wanted to express how much I love using the platform, but I have to be honest about a couple of things. Uploading large files in the chat takes a bit too long, and watching videos on the message board is somewhat slow, even with good internet. It would be awesome if we could speed up the file uploading process and make videos play faster.

I really liked the simple design and functionality of Basecamp. It does exactly what it's supposed to without trying to be more than that.

Basecamp wasn't as good as some other specialized tools in certain aspects. It didn't excel at chat and async collaboration like Slack, and it wasn't as effective for task management as Trello. While Basecamp could handle those functions, our team preferred using more specialized and feature-rich tools.

It excels in facilitating collaboration, whether it's organizing meetings, creating roadmaps, or managing projects. The mobile support, reasonable pricing, impressive hill charts, client accessibility and user-friendliness all contribute to its advantages. In a previous role where I oversaw a team of seven, I actively used Basecamp due to my passion for organization. It served as an excellent task management system, offering great visibility into task and project progress.

Cons

The downside of this product is the absence of certain features across all versions, which we found limiting. My main complaint about the platform is the complexity caused by different Basecamp versions. This poor experience led us to switch away from this product. Additionally, I am unable to remove an inappropriate comment from a parent, which is a notable limitation.
