CORE is a great program - excellent for tracking time and invoicing

Pros

Invoicing; time-tracking; ease of moving time and expenses around different phases of a project. Ability to customize the program to fit our needs.

Cons

Complicated and program can be unbearably slow at times. Search features could be improved, but CORE is upgrading on a frequent basis. Looking forward to more improvements.

Pros

Great live support, great project management, ease of workflow, easy to learn, multi-functional, auto-filling saves time, great tracking of projects and employees.

Cons

Sometimes is very slow or hard to reach an agent when the system is slow, random glitches however they are resolved quickly.

Tax and Legal Invoicing

Pros

Streamlined monthly invoicing of our tax and legal clients. Additionally, the Daily Time Card entries allow our office to combine time tracking with client billing since the time and expense entries directly carryover to invoices.The website is user friendly and easy to navigate. The reporting functions are detailed and expensive, but not difficult to find the right one for your purposes. Customer service is always friendly and quick to respond. We went with BQE Core when we were moving offices and wanted to review our cloud-based options for invoicing. We were already familiar with BQ Desktop features and figured it would be a smaller learning curve than going to a new system entirely. The transition from BQ Desktop to BQE Core seemed ideal and we even recreated our custom invoices with the help of Cores onboarding team.

Cons

Online payment integrations have been finnicky (Stripe for card payments and Plaid for ACH). At times, the server response is slow and leads to lagging work. Customer service is not always able to provide help, even though they are nice about it.

Pros

Very versatile software, lots of options and ability to customize. Excellent support for questions or problems.

Cons

Wish you could only pay for certain functionality to keep costs down as there are many features not utilized by a small business. Then have the ability to expand functionality as you grow.

Pros

BQE is used by our company to track and individually account for all of our client billing and hourly projections of staff cost. BQE is able to break out all of our individual detailed circuits and sections for each client simply and quickly. I am extremely happy with the ease by which new users are able to learn and utilize the features.

Cons

The program is as good as what you put into it, but they designed the software for a more particular one-sided way to work and manage, so it made customizing a project to your companies methods tricky.

Fits our company needs

Pros

Great fit for our Interior Design firm. Easy to navigate and love the timer feature to track all project time, which can then automatically be populated into the time card. The customer service is great too. Its nice to be able to use the online support feature when we have questions. Im still learning the system, as there are a lot of features but they have been very patient with us and all our questions.

Cons

Website is glitchy at times, where it will not save a time or expense entry.

Fantastic Integrated Professional Services software with embedded insights

Pros

Already has built in the insight for professional services firm management & time allocations, across no-chargeable endeavors, marketing tied to project wins & revenue, and hours separate from write offs, for insight into actual efforts, billed efforts, charge rates, charge structures, pay alignment, etc. Makes life simple as this is all the sets of books you want to see in one.

Cons

Learned the hard way that you need to take the time, and leverage their available training to set your typical projects up right and as templates. This prevents a bunch of backwards correctional efforts in the data and especially preset reporting.

Great software - a little timeconsuming

Pros

Customizable and lots of support- also, the webinars are VERY helpful and informative! I love watching them and learning from the experts. The support team via phone is useful as well in learning the software!

Cons

Time-consuming to learn and constantly fixing bugs in the software - though, sometimes its just a wrong setting and not the software itself that has the bug.
