“Used as an employee”
Pros
This software is really good! I am just a user with my firm so I cant speak to value for money, but its really useful for managing the hours I have in a project. I really like that its so easy to use and that I have a better idea of where I am in a project number-wise.
Cons
The direct payment option was difficult to make work, but I think they have fixed it in recent updates.

“Great Software, best option in the market for sure!”
Pros
Easy to use, out of the box solution with no consultants needed. Keeps track of the most basic stuff like time tracking but it can`t get as sophisticated as you want, giving you a lot of KPIs and data if you spend the time to put the input needed. All the support library to get you acquainted and trained is very comprehensive, continous webinars to make the most of the tool are always there, it is really up to you to take advantage of it.
Cons
Migration from Archioffice is not flawless, BQE should put more time to help people on migration and clean up if there is any messy information or formatting. There are too many reports, way to many and there is not clarity of what is the difference between each one, yet yield many times different results and other times similar ones. Widgets also yield very different results than reports, so that makes people doubt if they can use widgets or which ones.

“Great for site accounting; a bit costly”
Pros
I took up the subscription after reading a lot of review testimonials both on this platform and elsewhere. And so far, the promises seem to be holding. Our e-commerce site continues to report better financials thanks to the tool; the integrations don’t weigh heavily on individual page drafts, and we’ve been able to build connection with a lot of our clients on account of the stellar interface.
Cons
The vendor site is unresponsive on occasion; especially when you want to troubleshoot something (they even struck down one review I gave complaining about the dismal customer service/connection issues we face on occasion!).

“Unbeatable when it comes to financial reporting and document management.”
Pros
BQE is amazing for everything related to project management, be it time tracking, financial reports, or document management. Everyone loves using it in my company since it handles our individual tasks so perfectly. We are able to track the progress of all projects and quickly assess whether a project is going to be profitable or not. We don’t use it for accounting since we already use Quickbooks for this purpose, and BQE is fully integrated with it.
Cons
It does not open files quickly with a single or even a double click. To open a file, we must repeatedly click it, resulting in multiple instances of the same file open. We have skipped it entirely for file management and use the normal Windows file manager instead. Although its not a huge inconvenience, it still shouldnt be an issue to begin with.

“Reliable, robust, efficient, and eye-pleasing!”
Pros
Our admin and IT departments look after the implementation of software, so I dont have much say in which features are available to the staff, but from what I can see, Im sure there are plenty more than I have access to. I use the BQE Core for the basics, and thats good enough for me. It is intuitive and easy to learn, which enhances the UX and reliability in the long run. If I suspect that a particular projects task lists will be difficult for me to manage on my own, I upload all of the data onto the software and let it do the work for me, such as timesheet management. It would have taken a lot longer otherwise.
Cons
The layout is a bit odd, in my opinion. I mean, it is intuitive enough, sure, but the features are out of sync with each other. Youd expect to move from one feature to a relevant one, but you wont find it next in line. Other than this, the support team is also not great, especially at handling this issue of mine. They usually stop responding after a while if they cant fix an issue. However, Id still appreciate them since they try their best and fix other problems as soon as they can.

“Changed how we used to manage projects for good.”
Pros
BQE is simple enough to be utilized for our project management even with our busy schedules due to a shortage of staff. It is very flexible and can be modified to our liking. Reporting is something I appreciate the most since it enables me to include everything our clients need and attach invoices along with them. All the projects are well organized, and relevant third-party apps can be easily connected to work simultaneously on all the apps within BQE. It has made project tracking a lot easier, which has resulted in time and cost savings for us.
Cons
The software is made in such a way that everything you need for project management is thrown together on the homepage, which makes it a bit cluttered. While it is good that you have everything you need on a single page, it would only be helpful if all features were better organized. It took me quite a while to learn stuff and be efficient at using the software, but it was worth it in the end. Training sessions are excellent, and the support team gives quick tips from their own experience to make our experience faster and smoother.

“Outstanding when it comes to manufacturing, but needs to be flexible with pricing.”
Pros
In a manufacturing environment, you rarely have time to track each activity manually. Thats where I have employed BQE. All the tasks associated with various manufacturing projects can be tracked with ease through the software, and the reports and status can be quickly shared with the clients. Our clients can see for themselves how far their product has come in terms of development. I found it to be very flexible, and I have customized my display as much as possible to make it comfortable to use. It is excellent at interacting with Quickbooks, which makes it a great accounting companion as well.
Cons
They charge you for all the features they offer, which are great but not necessarily needed by everyone. I would appreciate it if they amended the pricing structure to cater to those with lower budgets and allow them to just choose the features they want the most. It works well as an accounting companion, but it would be ideal if they improved the existing accounting features so that I could avoid using Quickbooks, which is currently an additional cost. Gantt charts are also not as flexible as they should be, as pointed out by our project managers.
