“Essential for our business”

Pros

It is something our business relies on every single day for handling tasks and projects and at this point it's become an essential part of how we work.

Cons

As someone who tends to overthink, the huge number of formatting options can feel a bit overwhelming. It was enough that I ended up hiring an expert to get everything set up for me.

“central place for team coordination”

Pros

Across our company, it has become the central place for coordinating digital strategy, sales and design as we manage campaigns for our digital advertising clients. Being able to assign tasks quickly and keep everyone updated on project progress has cut down a lot of email back-and-forth and reduced unnecessary meetings. Team members can follow live updates, get tagged in comments and stay on top of upcoming deadlines without disrupting someone else's workflow. Some of our staff also use the mobile app which has been helpful. Another big advantage for us is task search especially since we handle a wide range of products for our clients.

Cons

We've been very satisfied with it. We also have a rep who checks in to see whether we need any help and at this point we honestly don't have any complaints.

“Smooth across devices”

Pros

Between the lists, boards, calendars, Gantt view and time tracking, it covers pretty much everything needed for project and task management. It also works well across Android, iOS, the Chrome extension and the web app and the interface stays consistent on all of them. The integrations with tools like Todoist and Gmail are excellent too especially being able to create tasks directly from email. On top of that, the automation options are very powerful and save time on upkeep like automatically shifting due dates based on task status.

Cons

That said, the interface feels overly complicated and not very user-friendly. Someone new to the platform may genuinely need a bit of training before they can use it comfortably. I'd also like the dashboards to offer more customization especially the option to hide features that aren't relevant to our workflow. The UI also feels heavy which makes it slower to load than it should be so some optimization would definitely help.

“Does everything for us”

Pros

It has basically taken the place of Trello, Asana, Notion and even our bug tracking tool. Setting it up was simple and it handles a ton of different tasks in one place. We've also begun using the document management feature to keep shared team files organized which has been incredibly useful.

Cons

there's very little to complain about. Even though they keep rolling out new features, the platform never feels overloaded or bloated.

“cost-effective option”

Pros

The affordable pricing was a big plus for our small organization especially considering how many features are included at that cost.

Cons

At the same time, it feels like it prioritizes having lots of features over making them truly polished. Keeping tasks clean and consistent is already tough with most project or task management tools and in ClickUp it feels even more difficult. It seems to be aiming to do everything, without really standing out as the best in any one area.

“Useful reporting tools”

Pros

it has been really useful for assigning tasks, building forms, tracking progress and using the reporting dashboards to stay on top of everything.

Cons

Something that could be clearer is how to start time tracking right from the task view and then stop the timer once the task is finished.

“Totally won me over”

Pros

At first, I wasn't very familiar with it so I was unsure about using it or recommending it. Once I actually started working with it though, I was completely won over.

Cons

I still prefer using the desktop version over the web or mobile apps.

“valuable integrations”

Pros

It covers pretty much everything I need for project work and team management in one place. It gives me access to all the tools I rely on, from Google Docs to Slack and plenty more so I'm not jumping between apps all the time.

Cons

it can feel a little overwhelming at the start. There are a lot of features and integrations to take in right away.

This tool works well for assigning tasks to team members and it also costs less than many other project management tools.

Cons

This software isn't the most user-friendly project management software and the interface isn't very visually appealing either.

“Outperforms competitors”

Pros

Compared with other tools in this category, it really stands on its own when it comes to both features and pricing. One thing I appreciate a lot is that time tracking is included for free, while platforms like Asana usually keep that behind a paid plan. It's also very useful that projects can be hidden from other teammates even on the free version. Honestly, its free plan outperforms the paid versions of many similar products. Another big plus is the direct integration with third-party tools without having to rely on Zapier, Integromat, IFTTT, Zoho Flow, Microsoft Flow, Integrately, Pabbly Connect or similar services.

Cons

I don't feel like anything is really missing in it. The only thing I'd say is that continuous improvement and regular development are always important to make the product even better. Right now, ClickUp feels quite unique in the market.

The efficiency and timing are well handled and that has given me a clearer overview of my workspace.

Cons

There are only a few pop-up notifications so it doesn't always draw my attention back to my work when needed.

“free plan includes core features”

Pros

A big plus is that the free plan already includes the core features needed to get started. The document management is solid and there are plenty of integration options available which makes the platform more flexible to use.

Cons

One thing that could be improved is how some features are restricted on the free plan. Instead of giving very high usage caps that don't feel practical, it would be more useful to limit the number of items per month or by count, for example, allowing 2 or 5 custom fields rather than 200 uses. The biggest issue though, is the website speed which feels like a major bottleneck and could make it harder to roll out across a global company.
