“Keeps communication in one place”

Pros

Getting tasks organized in it is simple, whether it's assigning work, monitoring progress, tracking time and budgets or keeping communication in one place. It also handles task management, to-do lists, goals and the automation features are probably the biggest highlight. The platform doesn't take long to learn, feels very user-friendly once you're in it and the pricing is quite affordable. With remote and work-from-anywhere setups being so common now, this feels like a must-have for organizations.

Cons

A few people on the team had a hard time adjusting to the platform at first. One problem I ran into was trying to add a vendor without cost but they also had to purchase a subscription which was frustrating.

“Slack integration is a plus”

Pros

Keeping tabs on every project across the team has been much better since we started using it. It gives us one shared space for documents, assets and other collateral which helps a lot. With everyone working from home, staying updated on progress was getting difficult but it makes it really simple to create tasks, update their status and work together with other teams. The Slack integration is also a big plus because tasks can be created directly from a thread.

Cons

The first few days can feel a bit overwhelming because there's a lot happening in the platform. It may seem complicated at the beginning but after spending some time with it, the navigation becomes fairly simple.

“Packed with useful free tools”

Pros

It comes with a wide range of free features and they do an excellent job for managing tasks.

Cons

I'm still exploring the platform and figuring out everything it has available to offer.

“Customizable interface”

Pros

This system has a lot going for it and a few features stand out the most for me. I really appreciate being able to track task progress with drag-and-drop prioritization and it's helpful to see how tasks connect with each other. I also like that the interface can be customized to fit my preferences instead of being stuck with a single layout. Adding tasks is fast with the quick add bar and the built-in search makes it simple to find what I need without wasting time. On top of that, assigning tasks to specific team members, setting due dates and reminders and creating custom fields for extra task details all make the platform very flexible and useful.

Cons

It doesn't include a built-in Gantt chart. That said, there is a Chrome extension called ClickUp Gantt that lets you create a Gantt chart directly within ClickUp so there is still a workaround.

“Easy to integrate”

Pros

Getting it integrated was simple and using it day to day felt very user-friendly.

Cons

The time tracking and reminder features didn't work well for me. Those tools just weren't very good.

“Friendly support”

Pros

The Docs view works really well as a simple company wiki which is a big plus for me. It's something I end up recommending to a lot of my clients. I've also had very good experiences with the support team, they're quick to respond and genuinely helpful. On top of that, the platform keeps getting better over time and I'm hopeful I'll end up becoming a paying customer again.

Cons

There was a long stretch where the software felt pretty buggy and while that does seem to be getting better, it still leaves some uncertainty. My other frustration is how overly complex it can feel. If all you want is simple task management, the interface comes across as cluttered and a bit chaotic. There are too many tiny buttons, links and floating elements competing for attention which makes it distracting to use. It really could benefit from a redesign built around a cleaner, more minimal and more focused layout. I still believe the software has solid use cases and we do continue using it but for task and project management, it doesn't feel completely there yet.

“Large feature set”

Pros

It has been a fantastic tool to use. It brings together a polished, highly responsive and well-structured interface with an impressively large feature set. The parts I rely on most are the mind maps that can be turned into tasks, the documents and especially the newer Whiteboards which feel like they have a lot of potential.

Cons

This platform feels so broad that I lose my way and probably end up using only half of what it offers. I'd really appreciate a faster, clearer path for working through some of the issues that come up while putting together the different projects I handle.

“Clickup keeps marketing on track”

Pros

Between task management, idea sharing and visibility into everything happening across my department and the wider company, it has been incredibly useful. I really appreciate being able to customize the interface, view the information I need and keep all my tasks in one place which helps me avoid missing anything important. The notifications are also a big help because they keep me on top of comments and deadlines that I might otherwise overlook. On top of that, the project management features have been a lifesaver for our Marketing projects.

Cons

At the beginning, the interface and overall workflow took some getting used to so the learning curve felt a little challenging at first. Once I spent more time with it though, it became a really strong tool that I genuinely enjoy using.

“Lets me keep tabs on team projects”

Pros

Keeping tabs on team projects is much more manageable with it and it makes tracking progress and status really simple. The features are simple enough to understand and I also appreciate that the free trial lets us try extra features and upgrade later if we decide we need more options.

Cons

Because the platform includes so many features, it takes a while for the team to fully understand how to use it effectively.

“Needs better language support”

Pros

The app is decent overall but it still lacks Arabic language support, even though the Arab world is one of the biggest audiences for products like this.

Cons

It's simple to use but the company really needs to pay more attention to other countries and languages.

“More detailed option compared with Jira and Confluence”

Pros

Compared with Jira and Confluence, it feels like a more complete option as long as you handle anything sensitive or privacy-related on your own. It gives teams a real advantage, with plenty of tools and options that make it possible to shape the workspace to fit the way they actually work.

Cons

Security is a concern since the connections are currently all public. It refers to this as a limitation now and private connections may only become available later if they decide to add support for it.

“Convenient ready-made templates”

Pros

The customization options are excellent and the software gives you a solid head start with ready-made templates while still letting you build everything from scratch if that works better for you.

Cons

As a solo business owner, I really wish the lower-tier plans included more automations. I go through my allotment pretty fast and once they're gone, I have to wait until the next month for more. When you're running everything alone, that becomes a real hassle because I depend on daily task automation a lot.

“Lots of useful functions”

Pros

Its amazing how many useful features it packs in especially being able to assign comments and projects to teammates or whole groups in the organization. I also really appreciate that task statuses can be updated as work moves forward, whether it's complete, in progress or waiting on questions. The activity stream shows everything happening in real time which makes it feel a lot like a social feed for ongoing work projects.

Cons

If your team has a very heavy workload, the activity stream can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming with how much is happening at once.

“Cuts down on manual effort”

Pros

After more than a year with it, I've ended up relying on quite a few of its features for project work. The standout for me is the task automation which cuts down a lot of manual effort and saves a significant amount of time. It's also very helpful that users can report bugs immediately so developers can step in and make the necessary fixes quickly.

Cons

Beyond the sheer number of features, the part that bothered me most about it was how poorly it performs on mobile devices likely because the app's design is so complex. On a phone, I run into several issues that make the overall experience frustrating. It feels far too difficult to navigate and comes across as if important functionality is missing.

“Decent but security needs work”

Pros

It does the job well enough if you're not expecting anything exceptional.

Cons

security is a major concern for me. Every attachment is shared through public links and they present that as a feature. Private attachments are only available if you move up to their most expensive support tier and even then, it still doesn't fully protect your data. It also lacks a wiki feature which would be really useful and is something other tools already offer.

“Comes with plenty of shortcuts”

Pros

This tool has a polished interface and there are lots of shortcuts and fast ways to add information which keeps project planning from turning into a project of its own.

Cons

It definitely comes with a learning curve. If you're switching from a simpler project management tool, it's worth spending time learning how it works so it helps rather than slows you down. It took me about 3 or 4 attempts to finally set up my workspace the right way.
