“Has been a gamechanger”

Pros

For a team setting, it can be a real game-changer. It comes with a wide range of features that let teams build and customize their workspace in a way that feels convenient and well-suited to how they work.

Cons

I really haven't run into any major issues with it though it would be even better if guest mode were customizable in a more user-friendly way.

“Versatile project management powerhouse”

Pros

Switching between its different capabilities feels simple which makes managing projects much more effective. It gives you several ways to view and work with the information and tasks entered into the app and the software is highly functional overall. It also fits well no matter what kind of team you're working with.

Cons

There are still a few annoyances especially when the notification list doesn't refresh properly and alerts sometimes aren't sorted by the most recent. On top of that, the pricing feels too high.

“All in one workspace”

Pros

It ended up giving me all the functionality I needed to replace and combine several different tools into a single platform. When I log in, I have access to my entire law firm in one place and I can see all the tasks and key information I need for the day right on one screen.

Cons

At first, I stayed away from it because the app's branding and overall design felt a little too casual and amateurish to me. Over the last few years though, the company seems to have matured and now it feels appropriate for a more traditional law firm setting.

“Breaks works into smaller tasks”

Pros

It works well for breaking work into smaller tasks and assigning them to team members which makes it useful for following the progress of a task or an entire project.

Cons

Once a project gets very large and includes a huge number of tasks, keeping track of everything can become difficult.

“Well-integrated features”

Pros

Building detailed workflows across spaces and lists has helped our team handle more clients every day, month and year. Features like checklists, subtasks, dependencies and relationships tie the whole ClickUp setup together and fit well with how our team naturally works so we can keep moving without wasting time figuring out the next task or priority.

Cons

There are still several bugs that can be frustrating especially when you're in the middle of focused work or dealing with a deadline. At times, when a new subtask or checklist item is created, it won't appear right away unless the page is refreshed. That can lead to duplicate entries and unnecessary annoyance. On the positive side, ClickUp's support team has been helpful before when we ran into other issues, including problems with recurring task settings.

“They value feedback”

Pros

Back when I started using this software around three years ago, it was still missing quite a few features. One of the best parts has been watching how much they listen to users. They added a voting system where people can suggest features and ideas inside a thread that everyone can join and if you support an idea you simply give it a thumbs up. When the developers review those requests, they add them to their list and begin working on them. It feels very driven by the user community and it is also very clear to see what is currently being discussed, what is being worked on in the threads and how that connects all the way up to their roadmap and future plans.

Cons

Getting everything set up can be a bit confusing or feel complex if you are not the kind of person who wants to spend time really learning the software and understanding how deep the platform goes. To get the most out of it, you do need to be willing to dig into the complexity. That said, I personally enjoy platforms with a lot of depth and customization so for me that has actually been a good fit.

“Lets me prioritize my work”

Pros

I really appreciate how well it lets me prioritize my work based on what matters most. Assigning tasks to my coworkers is also simple and it doesn't feel overly complicated to use the way many other applications do.

Cons

it doesn't perform very well on mobile likely because it includes such a large number of features.

“User friendly interface”

Pros

It offers a user-friendly interface and includes everything needed in a basic, entry-level project management tool.

Cons

It did take a bit of time and study to figure out how to navigate it. Compared with other project management tools I've used, it wasn't quite as simple at first.

“Clickup brought our teams together”

Pros

With our company recently being acquired by a team in New Zealand, we were suddenly working across two different systems for project and issue tracking. It ended up being the perfect middle ground, bringing everything into one place and covering most of what both teams needed.

Cons

Getting comfortable with saving views and narrowing things down to only the lists and sorting I wanted took about a week of using it every day. That may partly be because I was so used to working in Jira for such a long time.

“Frustrating onboarding experience”

Pros

There appeared to be a lot of features that could really help strengthen my content writing workflow and keep everything organized.

Cons

Onboarding was a mess. Since I was completely new to the tool, I needed something that walked me through it from the very beginning. They didn't have any beginner-friendly content or videos that started at step zero. They eventually created personalized videos for me which was a thoughtful gesture but by that point I was already extremely frustrated.

“Clear project visibility”

Pros

Having a full view of my team's project pipeline and seeing exactly where each project stands has been really valuable especially through the task management features.

Cons

The platform isn't especially user-friendly. Even though I'm pretty comfortable with technology, I still struggled to figure out the best way to use the program.

“Amazing collaborative workspace”

Pros

It gives teams a collaborative workspace where workflows can be tailored to match how your organization actually operates. It works especially well if your team doesn't rely on a traditional way of tracking productivity. You can combine different methods and set things up in a way that fits your leadership approach and overall team management style.

Cons

Because it gives users and teams so much freedom to customize how they work, it can take a while to figure out which workflow setup is the best fit for your needs.

“Effective for scheduling and tracking”

Pros

A semi-free platform that lets you assign deadlines, set priorities and designate the right people for each project. It gives you plenty of task customization options which makes each team member's role and responsibilities much more visible. It's a strong project management tool that improves scheduling and keeps both the team and stakeholders aligned on what needs to be done and when it's due. The interface is user-friendly, the viewing options are well designed and it also works as a central project database where all the files and information shared during task updates are kept in one place. It only takes a few days to become familiar with everything it offers.

Cons

There's very little to complain about because the benefits clearly outweigh the downsides. The only minor issue is that it can take a few days to get comfortable with all of its features but once the team adjusts, it becomes very effective for scheduling, tracking and staying on top of every task in progress.

“Complete collaboration platform at a low cost”

Pros

Right from the start, it feels like a very complete collaboration platform that's user-friendly to use. The onboarding videos are really helpful for understanding how everything works when you first begin. It covers pretty much everything, project planning, daily goals, reminders, time tracking, progress monitoring and more. On top of that, the price is very low so it's accessible for just about anyone.

Cons

It still isn't available in Spanish which can make things harder for users in LATAM. And although having so many tools is a big advantage, it can also feel a bit overwhelming at times when you're trying to learn how to manage everything and fully understand the system. They also update the app frequently so keeping up with the constant changes can be challenging.
