“Confluence for software documentation”
Pros
The unified platform for sharing documentation related to various modules of our extensive software product stands out as a notable benefit.
Cons
Enhancing navigation among documentation pages is necessary. Finding something can be challenging unless you have specific knowledge of its location. Additionally the text editor is somewhat cumbersome especially when editing extensive documents. I have multi-page documents where ease of upload like importing MS Word documents directly would be beneficial.

“Confluence encourages sharing between professionals.”
Pros
They have an amazing team of professionals who know what theyre doing and are available to help whenever needed. The software is reasonably priced and great for assembling a team and knowledge directory. It offers fair editing capabilities that I have used extensively to save time. The best thing about Confluence is that we didn’t have to make our documents from scratch when we switched to the software. All the existing documents we had in the usual formats were easily imported and just needed the bare minimum in terms of reformatting.
Cons
Something as simple as moving the documents around could become a nightmare if you’re not careful. This is the only problem I have with this software since the documents just refuse to move sometimes and rarely end up where I want them. I have had to train myself to ‘remember’ to develop the structure before I even think of moving a document.

“Confluence is a good option to assist with project management.”
Pros
Confluence is easy to operate. We didnt have to invest/spend extra to get our employees trained and that is a huge saving for an organization as large as ours. It reduced the amount of time and labor required to manage files and data for several projects. It is a cost-effective and durable software solution for project planning and risk management tasks.
Cons
The software lags occasionally in terms of consistent performance. Theres a helpful version control mechanism but its not as stable as it needs to be.

The integration of Confluence with Jira is a standout feature. The combination of a solid task management tool and a reliable documentation tool allows different team members to focus on specific solutions without interference.
