Confluence offers good document organization tools but needs improvement.

Pros

Confluence has been particularly great for a growing business like ours since hundreds and hundreds of documents now have a central home. And we also have the ability to share based on permissions with other employees. The document organizing tools can be used in multiple ways. And since all the documents are available on a central platform, we can actually browse them and learn a thing or two about the better organization, for example. It goes a step further with version control, which unlocks a deeper level of document management.

Cons

The version control might be the only thing setting it apart from the competition, since other than that, it barely offers anything different. There are random bugs still present to this date even after so many complaints. Confluence has a lot of potential and there’s no doubt about it. But they keep disappointing us by not adding even the simplest of features like improving their integration with third-party apps. If a certain app works for you that’s your luck, but if it doesn’t, just forget about making it work for you. For a paid product, I expect more quality.

Great file sharing

Pros

The ease of sharing and editing files with co-workers along with organized document management simplifies access to needed information.

Cons

Frustration arises when new versions are added to a file as the old contents are stored below the new material making it seem like other files are missing. The organization of this could be improved.
