Great Proofing Software for Teams!

Pros

Filestage has rescued us from the never-ending cycle of emails and revisions, significantly accelerating our review process and enhancing team efficiency.

Cons

It would be great if I could download all the comments associated with a specific revision directly embedded into the page, similar to PowerPoint's notes page. That would provide me with a helpful to-do list. (I should note that I'm relatively new to Filestage, and they might actually have this functionality, but I haven't discovered how to use it yet.) Aside from that, the software is quite intuitive.

Simplify advertising approvals

Pros

Filestage is incredibly user-friendly; no manual needed! I started using it a few months ago to approve advertising material, add comments, and include missing translations. It streamlines the approval process, allowing multiple individuals to provide comments simultaneously.

Cons

There are numerous notification emails generated after each step, but on the positive side, it allows me to track my progress.

Great piece of software

Pros

The simplicity of use is remarkable. We implemented the program midway through an important project, and it was effortlessly accessible from the beginning. Establishing a workflow took mere minutes!

Cons

Personally, I would prefer it as a standalone software version instead of SaaS.

Exactly what we needed!

Pros

This app is exactly what we were searching for. It provides us with a straightforward set of tools for sending creative work for approval, both internally and externally. The markup tools are simple yet incredibly effective. Our clients appreciate Filestage too, as the interface for non-licensed users is exceptionally easy to navigate and understand.

Cons

To be honest, we've only recently started using Filestage, but so far, our team hasn't registered any complaints. Filestage allow us to submit feature ideas for voting in future development which shows their commitment to customer feedback.

No More Scope Creep and Faster Completion of Deliverables

Pros

It is incredibly user-friendly, not only for our team but also for our clients. Even non-tech-savvy users find it simple to navigate. The interface is intuitive, allowing me to quickly upload files, add reviewers, and make comments with ease.

Cons

As a freelancer, the price can be a little high. However, it already seems to have justified itself because it saves me from the hassle of emailing PDFs back and forth for minor revisions.

Must-have for creative process

Pros

Consolidated feedback on creative materials has saved us a tremendous amount of time managing review rounds. It eliminates the need for handwritten feedback and long email threads, streamlining the entire process.

Cons

There are a few minor features that can occasionally be a bit bothersome, but they are not a big deal. For example, it would be great to have an "undo" option for approvals. Tags can also get lost at times, so it would be nice to receive notifications or have specific functionality to jump directly to tags.

Wish we'd implemented sooner!

Pros

It has eliminated misunderstandings and lengthy email exchanges when trying to understand required changes. The ease of use makes onboarding clients effortless, and the option for customers to provide direct feedback on artwork has significantly sped up our review process. Clients find the overview of files in review helpful, and the ability to add comments to videos at specific time stamps simplifies video feedback.

Cons

I haven't encountered any negative points yet, but I'm still in the early stages of using the software. So far, my experience has been very positive!

So helpful!

Pros

Filestage has been an invaluable tool for me as a freelance designer, allowing me to keep track of internal and client revisions on design projects. Previously, I used sticky notes on PDF files, but it was difficult to manage. Now, I can easily track edits and mark off completed ones, which helps me stay organized. The clean and user-friendly interface, with the 2-panel view, makes it easy to navigate through multi-page documents and identify remaining edits. The ability to reply to specific comments and hide resolved ones is also a great feature.

Cons

Here's a suggestion: In one instance, there were a couple of unresolved comments on version 1, but we needed more time to address them before moving on to version 2. It would be helpful if there was a way to transfer unresolved comments from one version to the next so that we can keep track of them as we progress through the project phases.

Great product!

Pros

Filestage is extremely user-friendly. Even clients who are not tech-savvy can easily review videos and provide comments. The ability to mark off and highlight specific areas of concern is highly useful, and the option to check off completed feedback is great. Creating new "rooms" for versioning is also a helpful feature.

Cons

I don't have too many complaints or issues. It works quite smoothly.

Simple yet very effective platform!

Pros

The version control feature helps us track updates over time, and the ability to export and share feedback with clients and teams is valuable. The annotation tool aids in understanding suggested changes, and the option to define roles, task visibility, and permission levels adds to its flexibility. The ability to add attachments is also beneficial.

Cons

It would be better to have an option to switch between different tabs/assets without having to go back to the main homepage multiple times.

Makes my job A LOT easier

Pros

Filestage is amazingly intuitive and user-friendly which results in very little confusion for clients and team members. It has also quite improved our video workflow and accelerated our deliveries, thanks to the detailed feedback options. Additionally, having the ability to store feedback on multiple projects for future reference is a major advantage.

Cons

There's very little to say here. The main aspect would be storage. Since I mainly work with videos, I reach the capacity limit of my account almost weekly, which can cause issues if all my work on the platform is active.

Huge time saver

Pros

It is the best solution we have found for sharing, commenting and obtaining approvals from clients. Clients find it easy to open projects, provide comments, and approve or reject them. The training is built into the client message, and the reminder feature keeps our projects on schedule, eliminating the need to chase people.

Cons

It's fantastic for images or PDFs, but for web pages, I have to capture the screen and then post it for approval. It would be great if I could simply enter a URL and have it automatically scrape the page. This feature is available in some of their competitors.
