good product

Pros

Source code management is one of it's biggest advantages for us. The app comes with a built-in interface for Git so creating a merge request is easy and there's no need to rely on the console. You can even handle it from a mobile device which is really convenient. Another major plus is the CI/CD integration. It includes its own solution for this, letting you define configurations and run tasks through GitLab Runner which can be installed without much trouble on almost any server.

Cons

Compared with some other tools, it offers fewer features overall and the interface feels a little outdated.

auto repo syncing is excellent

Pros

I really love the software's automatic repo syncing system because it helps me keep everything updated without extra manual work.

Cons

At the same time it still has quite a few security vulnerabilities and loopholes that should be addressed.

love the interface

Pros

An outstanding thing is that it works well across devices and with other applications. The synchronization is reliable, tests start automatically and the interface feels very user-friendly. The code review page is organized and managed really well.

Cons

I've been very satisfied using it and haven't run into any issues serious enough to bother me. The only small thing I've noticed is that synchronization can occasionally take a few extra seconds in certain cases.

Activities organized effortlessly

Pros

Keeping every task separate is simple and I can set up different boards for each feature while managing the CI/CD pipeline in one place. It really works as a one-stop platform. Team activities are fairly simple to organize, collaboration is built in and it helps boost productivity while also cutting costs. It also gives developers a reliable way to host, manage and track changes across their code repositories.

Cons

The amount of information displayed on the screen can feel overwhelming when you're just getting started. I'd also really like a chat feature that makes following a thread much simpler. On top of that, the documentation doesn't provide enough detail.

Deserves 5 stars

Pros

Having unlimited public and private repositories is a big plus. It connects well with other services and tools and handling CI/CD source code, issue tracking and related workflows all in one place is really convenient. Since the interface is web-based, collaboration and tracking work is easy for teams. The CI/CD and Docker integration also makes it simple to build and run custom apps.

Cons

I haven't run into any major issues worth mentioning.

excellent tool in the market

Pros

Working with it has been a really positive experience. The interface feels user-friendly so getting around the platform and using it day to day is simple for developers. It helps a lot with collaborating with teammates organizing projects and keeping track of progress without much hassle. Code reviews are clear and manageable and the discussion feature makes it quick to stay in touch with the team. I also really value how quickly pipelines can be set up and how efficiently applications can be deployed. On top of that, its integrations with tools like Slack and Trello make the workflow even better. Overall I'm very happy with the features and the level of service it provides.

Cons

There is very little for me to complain about. I really see it as one of the best tools available compared with others on the market and it has proven to be one of the most reliable options in my view.

positive experience

Pros

Having web development tools and a distributed version control system built into one platform is the part I appreciate most. It brings everything together in one place and really creates a better overall experience for developers.

Cons

Only part I liked least was the built-in security setup since configuring it during authentication can be confusing. It also falls short by not offering analytics for tracking pipelines.

Built for microservices teams

Pros

As a software engineer I find this tool really valuable especially when building microservices for a product. It allows all services to be installed on the platform, where the source files and code can be stored centrally and then cloned locally for branch-based development whenever needed.

Cons

Getting started can be a bit challenging for new users because there are multiple ways to carry out similar tasks which can make the workflow feel complicated at first.

good tool

Pros

This really stood out to me because it covers such a broad range of the software development lifecycle from source code management all the way to continuous integration and deployment. Another thing I appreciated was the interface which feels user-friendly and makes managing development projects much easier.

Cons

One drawback I ran into was that some of the more advanced features are not very simple to configure especially when you're still getting familiar with the platform. Setting up certain parts of continuous integration was particularly challenging and that ended up causing problems during our build and deployment process.

beginner friendly product

Pros

The platform is very easy to use thanks to the simple interface and it feels especially welcoming for beginners. Setting up integrations is also quite uncomplicated with plenty of flexibility in how they can be configured.

Cons

Merge conflicts can be a real pain and resolving them in the built-in code editor is quite difficult. The pricing can also feel expensive especially for smaller businesses.

Workflow handling done right

Pros

The CI/CD pipeline capabilities are powerful and handle our workflows really well. It also scales at a high level which makes it the right fit as our needs grow.

Cons

The documentation and available resources feel a bit limited so getting answers can take extra time. Support for certain operating systems is also lacking which can be restrictive depending on the environment.

good option in the market

Pros

When you need more advanced capabilities especially things like more detailed permission management and similar controls this is like the best option for that.

Cons

GitHub on the other hand, comes across as simpler to use because it connects well with other tools which makes it more approachable particularly for people who are not yet comfortable working in Unix.
