“AMAZING TOOL”
Pros
It brings together project wikis, deployments, CI/CD pipelines and project administration with role-based access, plus it offers enough space to handle personal projects comfortably.
Cons
Documentation can be somewhat confusing and integrating third-party plugins feels a bit difficult and unclear.

“polished source control experience”
Pros
The interface feels clean, both for source control and the rest of the platform. The controls and features are laid out in a simple way without any unnecessary complexity. It covers source control needs well based on customer requirements and the option to use company-specific domains for private source control is also a valuable feature.
Cons
I did not run into any downsides with it. Everything has been good.

“feature-packed and free”
Pros
Among the best parts of this software is that it's free while still offering a wide range of features. The ones I use and appreciate the most are project management and version control. CI/CD is available too but it requires adding a card to unlock it.
Cons
On the free version CI/CD isn't available until you add a card which is really frustrating for me. Also the UI sometimes gets stuck when I'm editing files.

“transparent platform with broad tooling”
Pros
It is a very full-featured platform that goes well beyond source control management or CI alone. The part that appealed to me most is its open-source core and even the code for paid features is available to view which makes the whole product feel very transparent. Setting it up in your own environment is also pretty simple since there's a single installer that works regardless of the environment you're using. I originally came for the SCM and CI capabilities but there are plenty of other valuable tools included too, like project management, artifact and image repositories and security features. Of course some of that depends on the license tier but they do provide a 30-day Ultimate trial. It also has its own public cloud so creating a free account and trying the software out is very convenient. Since it's built around Git, existing workflows continue to work without much adjustment.
Cons
If you're planning to use the SaaS version the $20 per month price feels fairly high especially since there isn't an individual plan comparable to GitHub's $4 per month option. It comes across as though it is focused more on small teams and businesses than solo users and the free tier has become more limited over the last few years. Most open-source projects still seem to live mainly on GitHub and their community feels relatively small by comparison. That may also be partly due to the smaller Ruby developer pool since Go and Rust seem to be attracting more attention now.

“collaboration and code management win”
Pros
Getting it up and running is very easy. Without this tool software development would not be nearly as efficient. It is an excellent platform for managing source code and building software collaboratively with other developers.
Cons
Git Bash commands are not supported directly in the command prompt which is the only limitation

“Positive review”
Pros
Across my organization it has been the most dependable tool for source code management. It takes version control a step further and makes the entire workflow much easier. Setting up CI/CD pipelines is simple and it also includes support for gitmind. The markdown support makes project documentation easy for everyone to access.
Cons
I honestly haven't experienced anything to dislike about this product it really feels best in its class.

“well designed UI”
Pros
I came across this product by accident and it has turned out to be something I really enjoy using. The interface is clear and well designed and it makes CI/CD much easier to manage.
Cons
It does go down fairly often and sometimes it fails to properly receive hotfix pushes coming from the editor.

“secure collaboration that delivers”
Pros
Being open source while still offering strong security is a big plus. It supports collaborative reviews and project management really well and I can share documents with coworkers while also checking the status of testing scripts. This has been our repository and I haven't run into any issues using it.
Cons
The way MR (Merge Requests) are managed can be improved. It would also help to have better visibility into past activity or changes.

“sonarqube integration and team access”
Pros
One thing that really works well is how it connects with several tools, including SonarQube. It also lets multiple people collaborate on the same code at the same time with different permission levels such as developer, maintainer and others.
Cons
A feature I'd still want to see is the ability to hide whitespace-only changes in the diff view since that would make code reviews much clearer and easier to follow.

“versatile repo with code insights”
Pros
It has been a really amazing repository for the software assignments I work on in class. It connects well with all the IDEs I use and pushing my work through bash terminal commands is pretty easy. Another nice touch is the built-in charts that analyze your code which is a handy feature you do not always get with other Git repositories.
Cons

“ticket handling works well”
Pros
Only two things that worked just fine for us was assigning tickets and keeping projects organized. Otherwise things weren't as we expected them to be.
Cons
The platform wasn't the most user-friendly or easy to work with. Editing tickets also feels a bit outdated especially with the forum-style setup.
