“allows work from anywhere”
Pros
Able to talk about work from anywhere makes Google Meet incredibly convenient. Scheduling meetings ahead of time is also really helpful and the email reminders right before they begin make it easy to stay on track.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any complaints aboutitat all. We have been usingitfor years and there really hasn't been anything I have disliked.

“Widely available which is great”
Pros
It has been a really great option for video calls and meetings because it's widely available and doesn't require installing any extra software. The built-in features, like custom and blurred backgrounds, are especially useful when you want to clean up what others see behind you. Setting up a meeting and inviting people, whether they're part of your organization or outside of it, is very easy. Since most users already know their way around Google products, getting started with Google Meet takes almost no time at all.
Cons
There honestly isn't much to complain about withit. If I had to point out one downside, itwould be that runningitin Google Chrome can use a lot of system resources and sometimes lead to lag especially if your internet upload or download speeds aren't very strong. That seems to be a fairly common issue with web-based Google services in general since they tend to consume quite a bit of RAM.

“account setup is not easy”
Pros
Meetings run efficiently on low data usage and the network connectivity is reliable which makes the platform work well overall.
Cons
Having to create or use an account with them can be inconvenient and for first-time users the setup can be a bit confusing especially if they are not familiar with howitworks.

“Screen sharing boosts collaboration”
Pros
Using it as a work tool has been really valuable especially because the screen sharing features make collaboration much more practical and effective.
Cons
That said I'd still like to see a few more interactive options or extra features added to makeiteven more versatile thanitalready is.

“Free and user friendly tool”
Pros
Google Meet is a user friendly platform that makes it simple to bring multiple people into the same meeting and the fact that it's free is especially valuable for many small organizations and non-profits.
Cons
Once too many people join a meeting, the lack of clarity can make things feel pretty overwhelming soitworks better when the group is kept under five users.

Using it is pretty easy and the features and capabilities it offers are really amazing. I prefer it over other competing platforms.
Cons
I honestly don't have many complaints aboutit, except that when new updates roll out, I sometimes end up missing the previous layouts and views.

“has very basic controls”
Pros
One thing I appreciate aboutGoogle Meetis how accessible it is. It works well for no-install meetings, offers strong security and includes free 60-minute group calls which makes it really convenient to use.
Cons
Itis missing some advanced features such as native whiteboards and the administrative controls feel more limited, basic and at times a bit confusing.

“Better than Teams”
Pros
Not only itis simple but it also offer all the features I'd expect from Zoom while feeling much better to use than Teams. Another thing I really appreciate is being able to connect sessions directly to Google Calendar.
Cons
The phone version could still use some work since switching between the different options can be a bit difficult.

“works when needed”
Pros
With smaller teams or one-on-one meetings,Google Meetoffers more functionality than most people will ever need and it consistently works when it matters.
Cons
It's a bit disappointing that you have to pay to unlock features like recording although that's understandable. Even so, the free version is more than enough for most people.

“good for video appointments”
Pros
We regularly relied onthe appto set up video appointments with clients who were unable to come into the clinic but still needed to be seen.
Cons
Meeting links can be a bit long and sometimes it's not very easy for older people who aren't comfortable with technology to use.

“handles large groups well”
Pros
Getting meetings started is really easy thanks to the user friendly interface and joining calls doesn't take much effort either.Italso handles large meetings and webinars really well which makes it a great option for bigger groups. On top of that screen sharing is simple to use so presenting content during a meeting was not a problem.
Cons
The mobile app can sometimes feel a little laggy or glitchy and that gets frustrating when trying to join or take part in meetings while away from a desktop.

“missing filters!”
Pros
HavingGoogle Meetbuilt right into my Google Calendar and being free is really convenient. It generally works the way I expect and starting or joining a meeting only takes a moment.
Cons
One thing I like least is thatitstill doesn't offer a beauty filter. By 2026, that feels like a pretty basic feature to have. Nothing over the top, just simple smoothing since most people want to look their best.

“cuts down scheduling time”
Pros
Connecting with Google Calendar and Gmail is a big plus sinceitcuts down the usual back-and-forth and makes scheduling or joining calls take just a few seconds.
Cons
A downside is that certain features are limited based on the user tier or plan so not everyone gets access to the same set of capabilities.

“noise cancellation is great”
Pros
Daily standups and architecture reviews are much better to do with this. As screen sharing is easy so pulling up cloud console logs during a call takes no effort. The calendar integration is also very handy as joining meetings is basically one click. On top of that the background noise cancellation makes a big difference when I am working from a noisy cafe.
Cons
I still run into one issue that is the screen sharing can make my laptop slow down and heat up quite a bit. When my internet connection starts fluctuating, the audio tends to break up badly. Sending large log files through the chat also isn't very practical and during longer meetingsitdrains a lot of battery from my laptop.

“great browser based tool”
Pros
Starting a meeting and bringing people in withGoogle Meetfeels quick and hassle-free. You can launch an instant call or schedule one for later with just a click. It runs perfectly right in the browser so there is nothing to install. It also connects really well with other Google tools making it simple to set up meetings in Google Calendar, send invites through Gmail and share files from Google Drive. The free plan includes a lot of useful features and extras like emojis, screen sharing, live polls and virtual backgrounds help keep meetings more engaging.
Cons
Even thoughitincludes some really nice engagement features, itstill misses a couple of basic ones like waiting rooms and whiteboards.

“find it better than Teams”
Pros
This softwarekeeps things simple, with no complicated setup and a very convenient interface that's easy to use. Sharing files and working together with others is also hassle free now. Plus being able to send a link to the team right away and jump on a video call is a huge advantage. Compared with my previous experience using Teams, the video call connection has been much better. Features such as live captions and automatic noise cancellation are excellent.
Cons
It's definitely a helpful tool but the lack of more advanced moderation features can sometimes be inconvenient.

“Calendar integration is perfect”
Pros
One thing that works really well withGoogle Meetis how well it connects with other tools like Google Calendar. The video and audio quality stays dependable and consistent which makes meetings feel more professional. It also helps communication flow better and screen sharing is simple to use when presenting or collaborating.
Cons
The pricing is on the higher side which can be a barrier for casual users or smaller teams.Italso lacks some advanced features so the meeting experience can feel less interactive than other platforms. On top of that the participant limit can be restrictive for larger businesses that need to host bigger sessions.

Pros
Google Meethas been very good value for the money. It's consistently reliable, simple to use and works well for both internal meetings and external calls. I haven't run into any bugs or technical issues which has made it dependable day to day.
Cons
