“Not much to it.
Pros
It's simple to use. When I receive a bid invite from a General Contractor, I simply click on the documents to initiate the download.
Cons
There's not much to it but he interface is not aesthetically appealing but is functional enough to accomplish tasks. I mainly receive bid invitations through this system.

“Good if using paid plan
Pros
I really like the simplicity and fast upload speeds of Hightail. It is also quite faster than other file transfer services.
Cons
The file delivery limits pose a challenge when sending video assets, which often exceed 25GB. Other services work fine for delivering final content, which is generally under 1GB. However, if I am paying for a monthly file-sharing service, I would expect the Pro version to have a higher cap than 25GB.

“Transfer of raw footage and edited videos globally.
Pros
As a cameraman/producer, sending video clips is essential to my work, and Hightail has become an essential tool for this.
Cons
Sending larger files over 2.5GB can sometimes experience delays and may require multiple attempts to successfully send.

“Hightail simplifies my workflow and transmission of video projects to my respective clients.
Pros
With Hightail I able to work fast consistently, without failing, even though it can occasionally take a bit longer to transmit.
Cons
A reviewing process is something I did not like as it restricts my ability to express my thoughts.

“Easy Means of Sharing Large Files
Pros
Hightail is very user-friendly. With a single click, I can download dozens of large files. The link to access the files remains active indefinitely. In the past, we used to copy and ship large files but Hightail has saved us time, money and paper.
Cons
For now I can't think of any drawbacks related to this software.

“Get it for free, keep it forever - Send large files with Hightail
Pros
I have been a fan of Hightail for years. It is a handy tool for exchanging large files on the go with prospects, new hires and temporary contacts without setting them up on our internal file-sharing system. The free version allows sending one file, so make it count!
Cons
Occasionally, a file may slip through somehow and take longer to process and send. It doesn't happen frequently, and there doesn't seem to be a specific trigger of it. Is it due to high server volume? Is there an issue with the file itself? It's hard to say. However, if you absolutely need the file in the other party's hands within the next five minutes, I wouldn't recommend relying on this service.

“File Sharing Software
Pros
With Hightail, I can easily send large files and documents over the internet to my team, facilitating collaboration and sharing.
Cons
The basic account is free, but it only offers 100MB of transfer space, which is insufficient for most peoples needs.

“Good option for sharing large files
Pros
What I like about Hightail is that I can share large files with clients using a software installed on my computer, rather than relying on an online service where I have to upload files through a web browser. It feels more secure to use an app like Hightail compared to services like WeTransfer. The free version is a fantastic tool that is less troublesome than Dropbox.
Cons
While I find the free version to be an excellent tool, I do think the paid version is a bit expensive given my level of usage. I consistently use Hightail, but not enough to justify a monthly subscription. If I encounter limitations in what I can upload for free, I'll switch to another free alternative with less restrictive file size limits, such as WeTransfer.

“Hightail Review
Pros
As a talent manager in the voiceover industry, Hightail allows my clients to easily and quickly send large files containing audio exactly where they need to go. Signing up is free and the platform is quite simple to use.
Cons
Unless I upgrade and pay for the premium version, the files get deleted after approximately a week, which has caused issues when the files aren't downloaded immediately.

“Great FTP Sharing
Pros
We started using Hightail because one of our primary designers recommended it and it has been great. It is affordable, intuitive and makes file sharing simple for our users.
Cons
Since we already utilize another FTP File Sharing platform, it has been challenging to convince our clients to switch, as it is not as widely recognized as some other alternatives in my industry.

“Easy way to transfer content
Pros
When dealing with large file transfers in my industry, Hightail provides one of the smoothest collaboration experiences.
Cons
I don't have many complaints because it is quite simple to use and fulfill all my requirements. Sharing project files with an entire design team is easy.

“I'm not too crazy about Hightail
Pros
I like that Hightail provides a custom link for clients or anyone to upload large files to me. Additionally, I can send professional-looking emails with download links for my clients to access the files I send them.
Cons
I couldn't manage to synchronize the files I stored in the cloud with my local computer drive which results in the loss of a significant number of files. I found Hightail to be more expensive than necessary. It used to be excellent when it was known as YouSendIt, but after merging with Hightail, I feel the products quality has declined. It is frustrating that they don't offer a file preview, so I have to download multiple photo files to locate the specific picture I need.

“Great For Sharing Lots of Photos
Pros
Getting started with Hightail was not an issue at all and even with a free account, we had access to many features. We used it to share photos from a large event, and it was easy to share the link with others who didn't need an account to access or download the files.
Cons
The organization is a bit weird, and I am still unsure about the features available on this site.

“File Transfer for professionals
Pros
Hightail's file transfer interface is both practical and neat. The dashboard allows me to monitor who has downloaded my files and when. The download notifications are particularly helpful in ensuring clients receive their files.
Cons
Hightail's free plan isn't very practical. The limitations are extremely restrictive, especially in the video industry, and even their paid options are overshadowed by other file transfer services.

“Hightail is great for sending large files!
Pros
I really like how Hightail provides insights into the views and download counts of my files. It is great to have that visibility.
Cons
It's hard to pinpoint what I like least about Hightail. I suppose it would be not knowing exactly who viewed or downloaded my video when it's sent to multiple email addresses is minor inconvenience.

“Great, With a few small tweaks
Pros
Sharing materials among colleagues and clients has never been easier. With everything easily accessible in one place, there is no need for complex and confusing email attachments.
Cons
You can't directly copy items between folders (only to spaces). So, when cleaning up and reorganizing a folder, you have to download the items and then reupload them to the new folder.

“Best way to share large files for free!
Pros
Sending large files securely requires minimal effort with Hightail. Since I don't frequently send large files, I make use of the free version, which perfectly fulfills my current document management needs.
Cons
Fortunately, I have to manage with the free version because the pricing structure is a bit too high for me.

“file sharing
Pros
My team relies on Hightail for sharing large files with clients and organizing with our overseas team who can't access our server. It is very much easy to use and file uploads are lightning fast.
Cons
I don't really have any complaints but I am not sure if there's a time-out period when the links stop working. And I think that is one thing to keep an eye on.
