I have been a loyal user of Hightail since its days as YouSendIt, even throughout the rebranding and acquisition by OpenText. I have tried other file transfer services, but none have matched Hightail in terms of design, reliability and support. Hightail is my go to choice and I won't consider switching.

Since the recent website redesign, I haven't encountered any issues and can't find any downsides to using Hightail from my perspective.

There are a few features that I don't understand, but that is my own issue. Also it would be helpful to have a feature that allows me to limit the number of downloads. This would be especially beneficial for selling copyrighted sheet music files that need download restrictions. Shopify, the platform where my website is hosted, offers a digital download app with the option to set a maximum download limit.

A significant number of customers struggle with downloading images. They don't want to sign up for anything; they just want to view their images. Sending large files is still cumbersome and takes a long time to download.

Hightail is limited to file transfer only. They tried to introduce new features, but we find them completely useless. Dropbox is a much better solution, especially once they implement their large file transfer feature.

There's a print broker I collaborate with who struggles to save files from me to his phone. He prefers me to use Dropbox, possibly because he doesn't have the app installed on his phone.
