“Overall great feature set, could do with some functionality tweaking
Pros
The ability to send large quantities of content, receive large files without creating an account and collaborate with remote colleagues on creative projects are some of the key advantages.
Cons
Sometimes deliveries fail without warning (the upload stops at a certain "time remaining"), and I have to redo it. This means I need to remember exactly what was in the last batch, etc. There is no filtering option for received or sent files by date, user, or type. Sometimes downloading a large number of files at once doesn't work (perhaps it's an unzipping problem on my end?). Occasionally, people sending content via our uplink get confused and have trouble accessing it or try to create an account, which leads to a confusing user flow.

“Really Enjoy and Use Hightail
Pros
With Hightail I find it very easy to move files in and out of the Hightail cloud.
Cons
I would like to have more customization options, such as the ability to rearrange the order of my files by dragging them.

“Satisfied User
Pros
I have been using this software throughout most of my career, even when it was known as YouSendIt. I find it to be an excellent method for sending proofs and receiving visual confirmation of receipt, along with the ability for recipients to provide comments directly on the proofs.
Cons
My only issue is that I have a large number of contacts, and it's frustrating that I can't delete or remove old addresses. I've gotten used to it, so it's not a deal breaker, but it would be fantastic if that could be fixed!

“Hightail in the Construction Industry
Pros
The pros for me include the high-speed downloading of large files, receiving notifications when files are received and opened, and the ease with which my clients can retrieve the files.
Cons
The cons for me include the inability to download my contact list. I have had troubles in the past with files not fully downloading and then trying to drag them onto my home screen.

“Solves the problem of huge file transfers to colleagues
Pros
In our performing arts work, we frequently need to exchange folders containing a significant number of photos, videos and audio files. Hightail simplifies this process and offers cost-effective and flexible solutions.
Cons
It doesn't seem to access my address book, so I have to manually type in individual email addresses when setting up a new recipient. However, once I've sent files to someone in the past, Hightail remembers their email address.

“Hightail Review
Pros
Hightail is exceptionally simple to use, allowing me to send files of any size to any recipient quickly and without encountering any issues on the receiving end. When sending important, time-sensitive, and often large files, I'm always confident that they will be received and downloaded when I utilize Hightail.
Cons
I don't have any cons to mention about Hightail. I'm completely satisfied with the service.

“Hightail Makes My Life Easier!
Pros
If we forget about the few rare instances, Hightail has proven to be a reliable tool for transferring numerous large files frequently. It is easy to use and offers great affordability which makes it my top choice among other available services.
Cons
Throughout the 12-plus years of using Hightail (and its predecessor, yousendit), I honestly never come across any issues or errors.

“Great look for client access!
Pros
Hightail is the perfect solution when you need to share large files in an aesthetically pleasing format with valued clients. I frequently use Hightail during the sales and project management stages, and it allows clients to collaborate and share files internally and externally effortlessly.
Cons
Every few months, there are some minor glitches that cause loading issues. The default format for knowledge management is not user-friendly for teams.

“Totally reliable
Pros
It's important for me to have confidence that the files I send will reach my clients. I have never experienced a failure, and clients never report any difficulties in accessing their files. Additionally, the interface provides a record of uploads that I can refer back to. Hightail is a practical lifesaver for me on a daily basis.
Cons
Hightail spaces can be a bit confusing, but one of my clients uses it without any issues.

“easy to use!
Pros
You do not face any trouble or issue using this tool. You upload, share the link and you are done.
Cons
It would be great if there was a way for me to create a Space and have one of my subcontractors upload their video to the space I created, similar to what can be done with ShareFile.

“Hightail makes my job easier
Pros
The user interface is extremely simple, to the point that even my 85-year-old client found it easy to navigate.
Cons
I lost a file due to its expiration date. I have learned to give my clients some leeway to retrieve it.

“Hightail helps with transcontinental video documentary projects
Pros
The convenience, ease of use, control over content distribution and the statistical information regarding views and downloads are all great features.
Cons
During a recent incident, when I uploaded a choral concert music video file and recipients tried to view it on Hightail, they noticed that the audio and video were out of sync. However, the video file could be downloaded successfully with the audio and video in sync. It seems that the "sync" issue could be attributed to the server's encoding on Hightail or possibly a problem that arises when uploading a video file in the Apple H.264 codec. Video files encoded using Apple Final Cut and the "Pro Res" codecs haven't experienced any audio-video synchronization problems. This highlights an area where Hightail's file sharing software may require revision to handle H.264 files.

“Hightail has been great
Pros
The functionality is the key factor for me. I work with a college radio station and Hightail allows me to transfer files between computers in different studios without them being connected to the same network. This significantly improves efficiency. Additionally, the ability to send audio and video files quickly anywhere is fantastic. Also the lack of size limits and frequency are few other great advantages.
Cons
The transition from YouSendIt to Hightail brought some changes, which meant I had to relearn certain things that used to be so simple. Over time, I have figured everything out, but it was confusing in the beginning.

“Hightail is superior
Pros
I can easily send a large volume of documents to my clients without requiring them to sign up for a paid subscription. It is super user-friendly. I can also share my link with clients, allowing them to easily upload files to my account. I also like the ease of use in accessing the upload history and forwarding previously uploaded files to others. I have tried Dropbox and Box but found Hightail to be far superior.
Cons
Lately, I have received feedback from new Hightail users who are my clients. They mentioned being confused by the pop-ups that make it seem like they have to set up an account when I send them a link. I haven't personally verified this, but if it's true, it would definitely be a downside.
