The color coding was a favorite of mine since it allowed me to get ahead my upcoming tasks. The font also looked modern after the recent update.

The hover state is too sensitive, and it can be time consuming to reapply filters after refreshing the page. When requesting time, I can't add notes to explain the purpose to project managers, so I have to send separate messages on Slack.

Hub Planner proved to be a robust tool for project planning and resource management. Its powerful UI and great features impressed me.

I have only used the project planning and resource management features and so far I haven't encountered any issues with them.

Using it was not a problem and it had an intuitive interface. With just a quick look I could see all the experts and their availability. It also seamlessly integrated with other systems through the provided REST API, allowing for easy management of support hour rates, working hours and vacations.

Cons

This product offers many more features than I actually utilize. I primarily use the scheduling view and the small bugs there are the most frustrating aspect for me. Nonetheless, it has the best user interface I have seen in this type of application.

The ease of creating and planning resources for projects was extraordinary. It saved project managers a significant amount of time, enabling them to visualize resource planning effortlessly and gives quick decisions about resource allocation.

I can't track time for individual developments directly. I have to use categories for that and with the increasing number of ongoing projects, the dropdown list becomes longer and harder to manage each day.

It is easy to create a new project that might already exist under a different name by another user. This sometimes cause a lot of confusion.

I like the option to add both percentage capacity and absolute numbers. It makes it easy to check the planned versus available resources. The selection and filtering process is simple and the calendar integration enhances its performance.

Theres nothing particularly major that I do not like about the product as I mainly check my planning without personally managing it.

As a user, I like that when I am assigned to a project, it automatically appears on my time sheet. In other tools, I had to search for my project every week. The pre allocated time feature makes it simple to catch up if I fall behind.

It is challenging to develop the habit of using it consistently. I am consistently relying on Slack reminders to help me track my time more accurately with weekly prompts.

There is not much to mention. It would be helpful if the timesheet of the logged-in person always popped up at the top without needing to enter your name.

I can easily see the projects and tasks assigned to me as it gives me a quick overview. It's also good that I can log into the site using my company account, eliminating the need for a separate account. Additionally I can view my teammates assignments, which helps a lot in coordination and adjustments.

Cons

To access information about an entry, I have to hover over it with the mouse and wait for the tooltip to appear, which takes a few seconds. It would be preferable to have another quick way to view entry details (if available, I couldn't find one).

As our organization grew, it became evident that we needed a resource management tool. During our annual 'Hack Day' the IT PMO team researched and tested multiple options and ends up choosing Hubplanner. We had it up and running within a day which ultimately reduces the time and effort required for our fortnightly resource planning sessions.

Our primary use of the software is for resource management. We already have existing solutions for numerous features. It would be beneficial to have a flexible pricing option based on the specific services we require.

I use this tool to schedule my time each day. It allows me to track the duration of each activity or project. It is valuable for management to see the expected timing/real timing and identify any inconsistencies. Personally, I find it simple to use and appreciate how beneficial it is for my company.

At times, it relies a lot on subtle icons for important tasks. Furthermore I think they are more focused on the aesthetics instead of usability.

There are a few limitations since it's not fully customizable. For example, our working hours are divided into 7.25 hours per day (and 7 hours on Fridays), but the system doesn't allow us to allocate less than 1 hour or half an hour. Additionally, on a laptop screen, the view isn't optimal. Everything appears quite large, making it difficult to view multiple peoples schedules at a time. It would be more convenient if the customer support team provided individual email addresses instead of a generic one for the entire team, allowing for continued conversations with specific individuals.

Hub Planner is the best system I've used for time reporting. The forecasted project assignment feature makes it straightforward, and the interface is user-friendly. While I haven't explored the reporting side much, I can easily see my own and my teams assignments.
