feasible backlog management

Pros

Ordering stories and backlog tasks is very easy and moving issues across the visual board feels simple and efficient. Bringing in new users even those who have never worked with it before, usually happens quickly without much effort. Being able to assign colors to epics is also a really helpful touch especially when doing a fast review of how many epics the team is taking into sprint planning.

Cons

One thing that feels missing is a visual roadmap or timeline where epics can be moved around directly. Right now, relying on PowerPoint for that is not ideal and it would be much better to have a dedicated board for epic and product roadmaps built into the platform as another tab in the navigation or at least offer integrations with tools like Miro, Beautiful.ai or Mural. In larger companies, admin-controlled settings can also create too many blockers for scrum teams. On top of that, querying certain data is not very simple for every user.

Great for tracking bugs

Pros

After moving over to this platform for project management, it has fit in very well with our existing setup and has done a really great job overall. One feature that stood out quickly was how well it helps identify and track defects or more specifically bugs, through every stage of development which is something we had not really seen handled this way in other tools. Another big advantage is that it works well across different departments so teams can coordinate, support one another and keep an eye on each other's progress which ultimately makes future planning and scheduling much easier. On top of that, the system is highly expandable through plugins and the number of available plugins and extensions is huge, literally in the thousands. Even many of the most widely used applications already connect with it which makes the tool even more useful.

Cons

Since we are still fairly new to the tool, quite a few people on our development and marketing teams have had trouble getting comfortable with it. From my own use, it also feels like the interface is designed more for technical users and can be challenging for regular users to navigate. Progress tracking could be improved as well especially because the cloud storage allowance feels too limited. The upload cap is around 15 MB which is surprisingly restrictive. Another frustrating part is that even though we are paying for the tool, it still does not let us create an offline copy of reports. It would be much better if there were at least an option to download lighter versions of reports to share progress with clients but that feature still seems to be missing after being awaited for a long time.

Built for agile work

Pros

Built with agile teams in mind, this is a really strong tool for Scrum or Kanban workflows. It covers everything from project planning and management to backlog organization and progress tracking. Adding new tasks is simple and assigning or tagging users as owners makes accountability clear. After that, it's easy to follow work as it moves from the idea stage all the way through delivery. The boards feature is also useful because you can save different project views and the reporting options give you plenty of ways to build status reports and charts for presentations.

Cons

Setting up boards can sometimes feel a bit tedious. Creating custom views also means building rules with logic behind them which isn't always very simple for business users.

Keeps teams informed

Pros

Keeping different project stages updated is easy and it makes it simple to keep the rest of the team informed while also seeing their progress and updates.

Cons

Sometimes getting to the right pages can be frustrating so the menu structure could use some work. It doesn't always feel as simple as it should.

Essential for software teams

Pros

Any software company really needs this. It's essential for tracking bugs and making collaboration across the whole company much easier.

Cons

Newer releases haven't been my favorite since some of the changes actually make the application harder to use.

Strong for development projects

Pros

Packed with functionality for project management and backlog upkeep, it's a really strong fit for any app development organization.

Cons

Weak spot is usability. Some features can be difficult to locate and the settings and role management feel clunky.

Flexible task views

Pros

One thing that really works well here is the great SaaS offering which makes administering and running the product feel easy and manageable. It also gives you several ways to view tasks, from a traditional project-task layout to a Kanban board so different teams can work in the format that suits them best and stay flexible.

Cons

Trying to run the hosted version with custom plugins is far more difficult than it should be and for enterprise-level software that feels almost unacceptable. The idea that enterprise project management software needs dedicated IT resources for ongoing service and maintenance adds a level of overhead that is hard to justify. If your setup depends on a hosted, non-SaaS deployment with custom plugins, it's probably worth thinking twice before moving forward.

Easy ticket search

Pros

One feature that really helps our organization is the "Create Ticket" option because it lets us manage work in a proper way. Tracking tickets is also very simple since any user can go to the search section and find a ticket either by entering its ID or using keywords and the system pulls up all the relevant data so the user can choose what they need and continue with the required actions.

Cons

Connecting it with other tools such as Asana is very easy which is a plus. The current GUI is decent as well but it still needs more refinement to make it clearer and more comfortable to view.

Quick and customizable

Pros

Right away, the customization and overall speed stood out. It's simple to use, quick to learn and the interface feels pleasant to work with. I also appreciate that the kanban boards include some basic analytics which is a nice touch for keeping track of work.

Cons

One thing that would make it even better is having plugin modules for project handling, along with automatic ticket monitoring so everything could be managed in a single software instead of needing separate tools.

Works well with other tools

Pros

Having FishEye, Crucible and Confluence tied into it makes a big difference when tracking everything connected to a specific EPIC. It's really useful to have all of that linked together in one place.

Cons

A few features feel more complicated than they need to be especially something like changing issue types. It can also get very slow at times and tends to use a lot of system resources to run properly.

Helps manage onboarding

Pros

We mostly rely on it in Service Desk to keep hiring and new employee onboarding organized. Being able to tag anyone involved in the hiring process is really useful and it makes it simple to follow the ticket's progress from start to finish. Users can also leave comments when needed which helps a lot with communication between everyone involved.

Cons

Interface feels a bit dull and more complicated than it needs to be. There are also quite a few extra features that I never use and they can make the system feel confusing at times.

Simple issue tracking

Pros

Keeping track of issues and tasks is very easy and the history tab makes it simple to check the progress and current status of development.

Cons

Newer UI/UX update on the web portal feels pretty unfriendly. At times, older options are hard to locate although that may partly be because I was used to the previous version.

Great for learning agile

Pros

Using this tool taught me a lot about agile. It covers just about everything a team needs to handle agile work, activities and ceremonies in one place.

Cons

I honestly don't have any complaints. I really enjoy using this tool and I've been very happy with the updates they keep releasing.

Highly customizable

Pros

The large number of customization options really helps improve the development workflow and makes the tool more adaptable to the way I work.

Cons

Because there are so many keyboard shortcuts, it's possible to trigger actions by accident with the wrong key press.

Keeps everyone accountable

Pros

This tool covers everything we need for project management and makes it simple to keep track of who's responsible for what.

Cons

One issue that really holds it back is the search. Once you click away from something, finding it again can be frustratingly difficult. If the search worked better, I'd easily rate it 1 or 2 stars higher.

Part of the daily workflow

Pros

It's become a really effective part of our day-to-day operations. I end up using it regularly and genuinely value most of the features especially because I'm pretty impatient and usually don't enjoy having to rely on a tool this often.

Cons

Only frustrating part is having to depend on it in the first place. Since we use it for tech service and support tickets, my one real disappointment is the wait time when it comes to hearing back from the tech representatives.

Flexible team management

Pros

Built-in Scrum team management is already there and on top of that it can be tailored to match different business requirements. Each project can either share behaviors or have its own custom setup and webhooks make it possible to connect with external systems when needed. It works well for all kinds of team management, not just software development and it also supports multiple user access levels and authentication methods. The API is another strong point since it lets you query and control the platform through web services.

Cons

Admin UI could be improved especially when setting up fields and schemes. In large organizations where many teams use the same instance, configuration can become hard to manage and grow messy over time. Also, the lists of fields and schemes are not paginated so pages can take quite a while to load when there are thousands of items showing.

Easy file sharing

Pros

For project tracking, issue reporting and document sharing, this tool has worked extremely well for our team. We can upload resources, share snapshots and send private links to clients which makes collaboration and file sharing much more convenient.

Cons

My use of the product has been fairly limited and I haven't worked with it as deeply as an administrator would. Because of that, I haven't explored all of the features enough to point out any real downsides.

Simple work tracking

Pros

Managing daily work with this platform feels very easy. I create task tickets, track their progress and use them to divide responsibilities and coordinate work across the team.

Cons

The downsides have been very minor while working with it. Once in a while, when I upload a picture, it doesn't load properly so I have to refresh the page and upload it again.
