Useful development tools

Pros

Teams benefit from a very simple and user-friendly environment for managing development projects and staying on track. I particularly appreciate the integration options, time-tracking capabilities and support for sub-features, all of which help make the SDLC more efficient.

Cons

It's not really clear why the platform is described as a "new breed" of lifecycle tool since it mostly comes across as a slimmer version of the fully featured product. It would be better if they expanded and improved it further.

Widely used for project management

Pros

Providing a well-rounded approach to project management and delivery, this platform is widely adopted by both managers and developers. I can see why it remains such a popular choice across the industry.

Cons

The recent UI changes have been frustrating because they feel very clunky and have turned tasks that used to be simple into much more tedious ones especially sprint management and creating tickets.

Flexible for teams

Pros

When it comes to Agile projects, this software handles our requirements very well. Its flexibility allows me to adapt it to different client needs and the reporting features consistently provide the insights we need.

Cons

At the beginning, getting everything set up can be a bit challenging especially when it comes to defining roles clearly and making sure each person understands the responsibilities that come with their specific role.

Easy ticket updates

Pros

Keeping tickets updated and easy to find is one of the things I like most. The Kanban boards also make it simple for me to monitor both my own tasks and the progress of the wider team.

Cons

It can be difficult to manage at times and all the different views can start to feel pretty overwhelming.

Feature-packed and versatile

Pros

With such a comprehensive feature set, the platform can support almost any use case I find. I've found that having an experienced administrator who understands the configuration options makes the experience even better.

Cons

Because there are so many options, the experience can feel less than ideal for people who aren't familiar with it. On top of that some users end up following the wrong workflow for what they need simply because they don't realize better alternatives exist.

Team collaboration done right

Pros

What I appreciate most is how effectively it brings large groups of coworkers together into organized projects and workstreams. This makes collaboration easier while helping everyone stay aligned on tasks, projects and milestones.

Cons

At first, it can be a bit overwhelming for beginners to grasp all the features and stay on top of every detail it offers. Still, after spending some time with it, it becomes much easier to understand and you start to see how valuable it really is.

Flexible project visibility

Pros

The flexibility offered by this tool is one of its biggest strengths. I can configure swimlanes, apply filters by project, story or assignee and quickly get a high-level view of project status, ongoing progress and outstanding work.

Cons

Getting everything set up can be challenging. The platform is very powerful but without someone to guide you through the initial setup, it's pretty easy to get lost in it.

Feature-rich and flexible

Pros

One thing I appreciated most was how user-friendly the interface is, along with the wide range of features available and the flexibility it offers.

Cons

My biggest frustration is that it often seems to be under maintenance or takes a long time to load which can be pretty challenging for our team at times.

Helpful story tracking tool

Pros

Writing stories with this tool feels pretty easy and the interface is friendly enough to work with without much hassle. It's especially useful for keeping track of objectives and stories in one place.

Cons

Using filters can be a bit tricky at times and it doesn't let you assign the next fix version for a bug when it's supposed to be included in the next build.

Unclear field setup

Pros

The task management tool is the part I appreciate most in this program. It can be adjusted to fit many different processes and procedures and the demand and approval sections are especially useful. It's also very user-friendly since the program clearly shows every step that needs to be followed.

Cons

There are a lot of fields in the program for marking or labeling and different users can sometimes interpret them in different ways. On top of that some of these sections do not fully match standard project management definitions.

Great for release management

Pros

Having multiple dashboards in one place is a big plus and it works as a complete solution for release management. The native integration with many DevOps tools is also very convenient and makes the whole setup much more efficient.

Cons

Occasionally, I notice that list views and certain pages take a little longer than expected to load.

Clear project visibility

Pros

The platform gives really strong visibility into each project which makes it very useful for tracking scrums, kanban boards and similar workflows. It also lets you build custom workflows when the default setup doesn't quite fit what you need.

Cons

While the interface is powerful, it can sometimes feel a bit busy so it took me some time to get comfortable with it. I also miss having a built-in timeline feature which would add a lot of value.

Easy progress tracking

Pros

Interface looks really polished and keeping up with work progress or updating tasks is very easy. The branch creation feature for tickets is especially useful and having mobile support makes it even more convenient to stay on top of things.

Cons

Page loading speeds can be slow from time to time on our server. I would also appreciate having the ability to delete timesheet logs for a specific date range.

Packed with features

Pros

There's a huge feature set here along with a large add-on ecosystem which makes the platform very adaptable. Most areas can be customized so your projects line up better with how the software operates and how your team prefers to work. It also works well for clients because they can view, review, update tickets and comment on issues without much friction. Creating Epics, Stories and Tasks is easy and sprint setup and tracking are also simple to manage.

Cons

For me, the biggest drawback is the pricing model. The software is quite expensive and every additional user, including clients, adds to the cost. This often means choosing between limiting client access or increasing expenses significantly. A limited-access client account would be very useful. I also find it frustrating that features like time tracking require separate add-ons and reporting often depends on third-party tools. The setup and administration process can be complex as well so having a dedicated administrator is often necessary.

helpful project insights

Pros

From kickoff to deployment, this application has been really useful for tracking project progress and keeping updates organized. It makes issue reporting easy and each user can log their own contribution along the way. The reporting layout and the Kanban board are especially valuable for spotting workflow gaps and the stats in the app make it much easier to figure out what actions should be taken next.

Cons

Although the platform has been extremely helpful for project management and tracking work completion, I think communication features could be improved. Better support for individual and group discussions around tasks would help reduce confusion.

powerful search and filters

Pros

Getting around it is fairly easy and the filtering and search tools are very capable. The scrum board feature with drag-and-drop ticket and issue handling is especially useful. It's definitely a great tool for managing multiple tasks, setting priorities and keeping collaboration organized.

Cons

One challenge we've found is that email footers are not automatically removed from replies. Since we allow users to respond directly to notifications by email, those responses can become unnecessarily long once they're added to issues. The formatting of footers is also lost which makes things less readable. I'd also like to see mobile app support for on-premises instances.

built for software teams

Pros

Working with this tool has been especially valuable for teams that build software every day. Its sprint planning and agile setup are really well done and it makes responsibilities very clear so everyone knows exactly what they need to handle. For teams outside of software though, I'd probably recommend looking at other options.

Cons

A limitation I run into is the inability to assign a task to multiple people. The subtask functionality is decent but if this were my primary task management tool, I'd want both areas to be expanded further.

great for collaboration

Pros

Among the project management and collaboration tools out there, this is one of the best I've used. I recommend it for every new project I work on because it's easy and very user-friendly.

Cons

Compared with another tool, I think deployability is one area where this platform falls behind. Even so, I still prefer its interface over the competing options.

easy team onboarding

Pros

After getting it configured for an enterprise environment, giving teams access and bringing them onboard is pretty easy. The workflows are clearly defined and the user experience feels clean and well organized.

Cons

Teams using hybrid Agile and Scrum approaches may find the setup process challenging. In my experience making the platform fit those workflows often requires several workarounds which can be frustrating.

works well at scale

Pros

Works really well for managing large teams and all kinds of big projects. It's flexible and does a strong job of supporting work across multiple teams.

Cons

Because the software is so feature-rich, it can sometimes feel overly complex and requires regular maintenance to stay organized. It works exceptionally well for our large team though I would probably choose a simpler solution for a smaller group.
