epics and stories shine

Pros

Among its various tools, this one stands out as the best for me. It makes it really simple to break requirements down into epics and then into user stories, assign them to the development team and keep track of everything throughout the process.

Cons

There really isn't much to dislike about the product. If I had to point to one downside, it would be the cost. For a small or mid-sized company like ours, the pricing can feel a bit high especially when you compare it with other sprint management tools on the market.

This tool allows a company to monitor employee work efficiently. It gives employees a way to show proof of how many hours they work each day and what tasks they are handling.

The tool can feel a little complex for new users at first.

perfect dashboards

Pros

After more than seven years of using it, I'm still very satisfied with the experience. The interface is simple to follow and easy enough that even a beginner can start using the application without much trouble. Filters and dashboards are the features I rely on most in my day-to-day work and they've been consistently useful. Overall, I'm a happy user.

Cons

When working with complex queries, I do notice some performance lag. Also, a few fields aren't available for filtering which can make certain tasks a bit more difficult at times.

easy helpdesk tool

Pros

One of our vendors relies on your service for helpdesk support and from our side, the whole experience has been convenient and hassle-free.

Cons

At the user level, I haven't run into any problems with the software so far. Everything feels clear, simple and works as expected.

tracking with clear insights

Pros

Navigation is easy and it's simple to follow every stage of a project. Separating different types of work is handled well, effort tracking is convenient and the charts and graphs make trend analysis much easier to understand. It's also useful for managing use cases, stories, test cases and similar items in one place.

Cons

A few of the required fields for capturing a user story may not always fit the needs of every project. It would also be better if there were a built-in financial feature for tracking project spending.

bug tracking and sprints

Pros

Book gives our team a really complete way to manage bug tracking and development work across platforms. It's simple to keep tabs on issues and setting up sprints was easy and worked really well for planning. I also appreciate how much information the system lets you add since you can keep things high-level or go into a lot of detail depending on what the team needs.

Cons

Even though it's an excellent tool, there can be a bit of a learning curve at the beginning for people who are new to this kind of software.

collaboration and user stories

Pros

Working with a development agency and clients is much more organized with this app. It helps bring client requests together, clear them up and keep everything in one place. The user stories feature has been especially helpful for managing that part of the process.

Cons

Getting started was quite complicated and at first we kept complaining about how difficult it was to use. It only really became useful after a new team member joined and helped us properly configure the workflows.

helpful case dashboard

Pros

Keeping up with our cases and checking the system dashboard each day is very easy. It alerts us right away when SLA deadlines are coming up which is really useful. Overall, it works well as a project management tool.

Cons

At times, the system gets stuck when there's a heavier load on it. Adding more features could be helpful but it might also end up slowing the system down.

convenient tracking and dashboards

Pros

Getting started with this tool was very easy. It offers really useful customization options especially the ability to build custom workflows depending on the type of request. Issue tracking is one of its strongest points, with plenty of information recorded for every action taken on a ticket. The dashboards and charts are also very helpful, giving scrum masters and project managers a clear overall view of the team's progress. On top of that, the query language available for searching is very complete and capable.

Cons

One limitation is that if you use the self-hosted version, you may not be able to take advantage of several tools, such as the mobile apps or the Microsoft Teams app.

accurate sprint tracking

Pros

This has been a really effective tool for keeping up with project progress, along with any new updates or challenges that come up during sprint planning. It does a great job of helping the team stay accurate and organized throughout the process.

Cons

The site's UX could use a bit of refreshing. Sometimes it's also difficult to find older items which can be frustrating when trying to look back at past work.

fast setup and migration

Pros

Getting started was quick and everything has worked without any problems. Planning and tracking projects feels very easy and moving from cloud to on-premise or back is only a minor challenge. The level of detail in user permissions is very strong, with just a few small usability adjustments still needed. The font rendering and overall ergonomics are also very good.

Cons

Email notification system could be refined to cut down on redundant messages although workflows can still be adjusted to work around that.

agile tracking done right

Pros

Nothing else I've used matches this app for tracking user stories and really supporting an agile way of working. It makes sprint management easy and helps the whole process feel much more organized.

Cons

Newer view still doesn't include a few features that were available in the older one. I've also had some data entry disappear when another user was editing the same field on my page from a different browser.

project tracking toolkit

Pros

Right out of the gate, this tool covers just about everything needed for tracking projects and managing workload. The automation for reports and assignments is fantastic and the customization options are flexible enough to fit different processes. Building templates is also a big advantage because it helps speed up optimization efforts across the organization.

Cons

One thing to keep in mind is how deep the platform goes. Getting truly proficient with it takes a fair amount of time and while there are plenty of third-party resources available, you still have to invest that effort. Without taking the time to learn it properly, it can end up costing more time than it actually saves.

slow issue tracking

Pros

It works without any setup headaches. It lets you keep up with project issues, add comments and even monitor the work being done without much trouble.

Cons

Biggest frustration is how incredibly slow it is. It doesn't seem to matter which browser you use or how fast your internet connection is, the performance stays sluggish. Loading an issue page takes far too long and it gets even worse if you have add-ons installed.

project permissions control

Pros

Being able to set up separate enterprise projects with different permissions for each user has been a big advantage for us. It lets us manage and monitor more than 100 projects while keeping both customer-facing and development issues organized.

Cons

Since we operate at an enterprise scale with more than 1 million issues in the database, we're still waiting for SQL-based indexing instead of relying on file-based indexes.

useful dashboards but weak JQL

Pros

One feature that really helps is being able to connect Tasks with Releases and Deployments. The custom dashboards are also valuable because they let me see the exact data I need without extra clutter. I also appreciate the option to "Watch" an IT ticket since it keeps me updated anytime the ticket is changed or updated in any way.

Cons

Search and filtering rely on their own language, JQL. After you learn it, it becomes less of an annoyance but getting to that point can be pretty frustrating.

updated UI and features

Pros

This is the project management tool I keep returning to. The refreshed interface was definitely needed and it now feels much more pleasant to look at. In the project I spend the most time in, the components feature and the releases feature are the parts I appreciate most. I do wish the detailed component view worked more like the releases view, with its own dedicated interface instead of pushing me into the search view.

Cons

One thing I really want is for it to be a fully single-page app. Having pages reload whenever I move between tickets, epics, search views and other sections gets tiring and it makes me reluctant to spend long stretches working in it.

great workflows with integrations

Pros

One thing that really works well here is how adaptable the workflows are for different departments and teams so it can be used company-wide instead of being limited to a ticketing system for developers. The integrations are also genuinely helpful especially with tools like Slack since they keep notifications flowing when they matter. On top of that, building custom reports and lists is pretty easy thanks to the query language.

Cons

The biggest frustration is the performance. It's extremely slow, every click, page load and screen transition feels delayed. Our organization uses it but I avoid spending time in it whenever I can and lean on integrations like email and Slack to handle tasks so I don't have to stay in the app longer than necessary. Even on my 2018 13-inch MacBook Pro, having two or more tabs open is enough to make the fans kick in.
