issue tracking powerhouse

Pros

Packed with functionality, this software offers a lot of ways to customize the experience, from issue types and boards to the configuration of nearly every detail. The issue tracking view feels complete and is easy to work with which makes handling tasks and following progress much more convenient.

Cons

At the same time, there are far too many unnecessary features and others are hidden under layers of menus. The context across views, screens and schemes is not always clear especially when trying to tell whether a setting applies at the project level or across the whole organization. It can also be frustrating to update just one option because there are so many places to look and it would be much better if menu access could be simplified or limited depending on the user or situation.

helpful project visibility

Pros

The layout feature has been really useful. When you're juggling multiple employees across a lot of different projects, having everything displayed together makes it much easier to see the full picture and prioritize work properly.

Cons

Having all the projects in a single layout can also feel overwhelming at times. I do wish there were a better way to break them apart so employees can stay focused organized and not feel overloaded.

request management made easy

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how it lets us sort, manage and analyze both internal and external requests. It's a really useful tool for handling that work.

Cons

There are quite a few things I'm not happy with even though I know many of them are set by our own team. Problems seem to come up all the time, I don't have much visibility and getting permissions adjusted is consistently a hassle.

all priorities in one place

Pros

Having one dashboard that shows only the items needing my immediate attention has been really useful. I can quickly check project statuses, add myself as a watcher on cases and keep track of what matters without jumping between different places.

Cons

Not a con but the number of status options and project information choices feels a bit overwhelming although that also comes with a great level of customization.

dashboards and integrations

Pros

Connecting it with several systems like PagerDuty, Slack and others has been really valuable. The platform is user-friendly, the dashboard works well and the different story stages can be customized to fit specific needs.

Cons

Sometimes it feels like there are more features than necessary. Even simple tasks can take a while to understand and new releases sometimes bring bugs with them.

fast request workflow

Pros

Creating a new request for the Ad-Ops team was easy for the kind of work I was doing. It cut down a lot of the usual back-and-forth, saved time and kept communication direct and to the point. It can be as detailed as necessary and in the Ad-Tech environment I worked in, that balance of being thorough while still staying very simple to use was genuinely helpful.

Cons

At times, getting to the right place took more clicking around than I wanted. It wasn't a major problem but it could be a bit frustrating having to move through the correct tabs and pages just to reach the destination I needed.

shared case visibility

Pros

A few months ago, this software was introduced and we moved over from the helpdesk system to track development cases. The biggest advantage is that everyone has access to it which lets all users keep an eye on the progress of active cases as they move forward.

Cons

One part that has been less convenient is that, during the busy season, it can be difficult to stay on top of updating it while also managing other urgent and critical projects at the same time.

handy sprint tracking

Pros

Day to day, I rely on this tool to create agile and sprint stories, then update their status regularly to ready, in progress, completed or done.

Cons

It's very user-friendly and creating sprint stories is easy since all the needed parameters can be selected from simple dropdown menus.

flexible and feature-rich

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how endlessly customizable and full-featured it is while still offering templates that work well for simpler project setups.

Cons

Getting comfortable with it takes some time because there's definitely a learning curve and a few of the most useful features are only available through extra paid plugins.

great for daily tracking

Pros

Keeping development work organized is really easy with this tool. We rely on it every day to log bugs and glitches and also to plan new product builds and sprints. The user experience keeps getting better because they're always making improvements and we've been very pleased with the updates they've released.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is the ability to set due dates and assign projects to both a primary and a secondary team member.

helpful ticket dashboard

Pros

With a lot of departments and employees in our organization, this tool has been really useful for staying connected with the technical team and passing along customer issues through the ticketing system. The dashboard makes it simple to check ticket progress and move between teams when needed.

Cons

At times, tracking down a specific ticket can be frustrating. If I can't find it on the dashboard, I usually have to search through the mailbox and that takes extra time.

integrations and flexibility

Pros

One of the biggest strengths of this platform is how customizable it is, with plenty of different ways to structure and manage your work. It also connects really well with a wide range of other products which makes it much more useful across different workflows.

Cons

The downside is the user experience feels poor and there doesn't seem to be a clear framework for organizing where certain functionality should live. Setting up teams, projects and actually working through them feels pretty tough and harder than it should be.

powerful but messy

Pros

For software development process management, it has been the industry standard for a long time and the workflow capabilities are exceptionally powerful when it comes to keeping a development team aligned and on track. If your goal is mainly to plan and run sprints, the platform feels fairly simple and is not too hard to get started with.

Cons

Lately though, the product releases over the past couple of years have come across as somewhat careless. That has created a number of inconsistencies and user experience issues. It can also become overly complicated, to the point where you may need to rely on it's excellent customer support team for help. Because of that, I'll likely be looking into other options down the line, such as Airtable, Monday or Trello even though Trello is owned by the same company.

Perfect for integrations

Pros

This has been one of the best tools I've come across for project and issue tracking because it brings so many different solutions together in one place. There are hundreds of third-party integrations available and the connections with Confluence, Service Desk and Status Page are especially excellent for visibility and tracking. It's helped us see the bigger picture around our issues, close cases faster and improve customer satisfaction overall. I can't imagine managing without it now.

Cons

Getting it set up and rolled out takes some effort. You really need a great understanding of your current project and issue workflows, along with how you want those processes to look in the system going forward. Once that becomes clearer, it does get easier to manage. That said, it's also important to expect ongoing work and maintenance to keep the product running the way you need.

integrations that work

Pros

One thing this does better than most incident management tools is integration with other apps. You can link incidents and tickets to Trello boards, Confluence articles and BitBucket issues or deployments and that's a huge plus.

Cons

I don't have any real complaints about it. I'm very happy with the whole experience. It may feel a little tricky at first but after a few days it becomes easy enough to work with without any problems.

scrum and backlog flexibility

Pros

This tool fits Scrum workflows really well. It lets you track an activity, task, story or epic and attach comments, photos or even videos as evidence which is very useful. You can also customize task states to match the way your team works, such as To-do, In Progress and Done and moving an activity between those stages is very easy. On top of that, you can create tasks, issues, stories and epics in the backlog and then move them into the sprints you choose. Filtering is also helpful since in a sprint or backlog you can search by task code, text within the task or team members. Another plus is being able to create business documentation in Confluence which is included in the ecosystem.

Cons

The only frustrating part is that it can send a lot of notification emails and that gets annoying.

Easy templates and plugins

Pros

Right out of the box, it comes with preconfigured templates for Scrum projects and Kanban boards which is really helpful. The plugin ecosystem is also quite rich especially for time management and budget reporting. On top of that, user administration is well handled and the overall performance is great.

Cons

Screen and workflow schemes can get pretty complex and setting up security for individual fields is not easy. Standard integration with external tools is also missing so you usually need ScriptRunner or some other custom coding to make that work.

project and bug tracking

Pros

One thing that really stands out is how user-friendly this software is. Managing projects with it is very easy and the bug tracking feature works really well. Another big plus is the flexibility to create our own steps so it can be customized to fit the way we work.

Cons

After using this software for more than five years, I have only noticed one drawback sometimes the IT tickets do not refresh properly.

modern and up to date tool

Pros

Works really well alongside other tools and the Slack plugin is a nice addition. The interface has also been updated recently so it feels more modern than before.

Cons

There are quite a lot of extensions to deal with and performance can be sluggish at times. We also ran into trouble when trying to move a ticket from one project to another because the columns were set up differently.

excellent bitbucket integration

Pros

One of the biggest benefits has been how well it works with Bitbucket. Features such as smart commits really help our developers and make their day-to-day work much simpler.

Cons

The interface has improved over time but it still feels confusing when trying to handle basic tasks like changing a project workflow.
