clean ticketing system

Pros

The interface looks really good and makes the ticketing workflow practical for getting tasks completed. Assigning and managing users and tickets is easy and works well.

Cons

Installation and updates feel a bit complicated and could be simpler to handle.

modern platform

Pros

One of the biggest advantages is how well it helps development teams build a modern agile software stack. It gives the team a way to bring their ideas, feedback and concerns together into a structured, managed plan.

Cons

Getting started can be challenging because the learning curve is fairly steep but once you become familiar with it, it creates an ideal working environment. I'd suggest talking to someone who has already implemented it with their team to get practical advice.

great issue branching

Pros

Creating a branch in my repo straight from an issue is incredibly convenient. It's awesome that the platform also gives me the Git command right away so I can check out the new branch from my terminal without any extra steps.

Cons

Notifications always land in my email. It's not really a bad thing but it can feel a bit distracting at times.

end-to-end tracking

Pros

Using it has been easy and it does a good job of tracking software work from analysis and design all the way through development and deployment.

Cons

It works well for the development team but it is not especially effective for the support team.

epics and workflows

Pros

One of the best parts of this tool is how much you can tailor across different areas of the application. The dashboard and homepage can be set up to highlight whatever matters most to you and the project or ticket creation process is also highly customizable. You can control which fields appear or stay hidden based on other details within the project or ticket which makes the workflow much more practical. I'm also a big fan of the fairly recent "Epic" feature since it makes it much easier to group tickets under larger, higher-level projects.

Cons

There isn't a lot to complain about overall but one issue that has bothered me since the latest interface update is the bugs around adding or downloading attachments in tickets. Quite often, I end up having to click the "use old interface" option just to finish what I'm trying to do. The new interface has been available for quite a while now, probably at least six months and I still haven't noticed any meaningful fixes or improvements in that area.

reliable issue hub

Pros

Our team relies on it to keep track of, store and organize all client issues, hotfixes and escalations. It's very simple to navigate and manage on a day-to-day basis.

Cons

There are times when it feels a bit slow or laggy but overall it's a very great product that helps our service teams handle some of our most critical issues.

project management toolkit

Pros

It feels very capable when it comes to tracking, analyzing and supporting strong project and process management. The software has a lot of power behind it and offers the kind of functionality that really helps keep work organized and moving in the right direction.

Cons

It has a bit of a learning curve around some of the more advanced features. I also have some concerns about team adoption since it can be frustrating at times to quickly pinpoint the most important information and tools within the platform.

automation for teams

Pros

One of the strongest things about this tool is that it lets non-business users submit tickets and, through automation, makes sure the right team gets visibility into them without much hassle.

Cons

Getting started with the software can feel a bit complicated at first, it reminds me of a more advanced version of Basecamp. That said, once you understand how the system works, it performs really well across the whole company.

helpful collaboration

Pros

It works well for collaborative projects, keeping track of initiatives and sharing requirements and documentation. I mostly used it to pass requirements along to other teams and it handled that part reliably.

Cons

UX still has room for improvement and a few user-friendly features feel like they're missing. It's also not especially strong when it comes to graphic design.

ticketing for big projects

Pros

Across a few different use cases, I've mainly relied on it as a ticketing platform for large technical projects. At the end of the day, it does exactly what it's built to do. That said, it's also the kind of system where you can get buried in the details if you're not a power user. The tickets themselves are really only as strong as the person setting them up and handling the full process, tracking, assigning, creating and closing, more or less calls for someone dedicated who knows the software inside and out. That's not really a knock against it, just something worth understanding before you jump in.

Cons

Learning curve is pretty steep which can make it tough for less technical users to get comfortable. I also ran into times when the notifications didn't feel completely accurate or timely.

great integrations but weak boards

Pros

As a project management tool, it does a good job overall. It isn't free but it comes with a wide range of features and plenty of plugins to connect with other systems such as Slack, Jenkins and Cucumber.

Cons

Since the recent release on ITcloud, I've been running into some performance issues. I'm also not a fan of the new board approach and it seems like some useful functionality was removed.

perfect team updates

Pros

It's a really effective way to keep a project moving in the right direction and the Slack integration makes it simple to send updates to the team without any hassle.

Cons

I only used it as an employee so I wasn't the one paying for it but I regularly heard complaints internally about the pricing and it usually came up in a negative way.

project success tool

Pros

This platform brought a ton of functionality to the table. It handled a wide range of needs and played a key role in the success of many of our projects. We also had it deeply integrated into our clients' software development life cycle which made it even more valuable.

Cons

Because the tool is so broad and feature-rich, it does require some upfront onboarding before teams can really use it effectively and get the most out of their projects.

feature-rich platform

Pros

Packed with features, this system feels well planned and highly flexible. With the right setup, it can also work effectively as a project management tool. It also connects with a variety of other platforms which makes integrations feel convenient.

Cons

The interface can be a bit confusing when it comes to both layout and functionality. If you're using it as a database, there are limits to how many layers or relationships you can build.

task cloning made easy

Pros

One thing that really helps is how simple it is to duplicate existing tasks which makes daily task organization much more manageable. The customizable graphs on the homepage are also a nice bonus because they make it easier to keep track of the team's overall status.

Cons

One issue I've noticed is that labels don't always carry over when tasks are cloned from others. Also, the dashboards can be a bit slow to load at times which affects the overall speed.

helpful daily planning

Pros

It works really well for everyday tasks and team project management. Keeping track of priorities is simple and it helps organize the daily workload without much effort.

Cons

Licensing feels a little expensive and many of the plugins that are important for our work are not included for free. We have to pay extra to use those plugins.

kanban and confluence tools

Pros

It is pretty easy to use and the integration with VSTS is really useful for feeding user stories and tasks into the workflow. The Kanban board works very well and Confluence is excellent for managing knowledge, storing documentation and keeping information organized in one place like a database.

Cons

Biggest downside is the high price especially with the per-user licensing model. It also takes a lot of training before the whole team can use it properly and get the most out of it.

reliable uptime

Pros

Between handling support tickets and organizing projects, this system does a great job of covering both. It lets users keep up with client issues while also planning project work and the platform has been very reliable with a high uptime rate. The search function is especially useful for looking up past issues, giving helpful historical context and documentation for both projects and support cases. Setup and maintenance have also been easy. On top of that, it includes plenty of reporting and tracking features, such as monitoring issue volume, issue age and how many tickets each user has closed.

Cons

There really have not been many problems with the software on our side. In the few cases where something did come up, support responded quickly and got it resolved without much trouble.

steep learning curve

Pros

One thing this software did well was give our team a way to monitor ongoing work and share files across different teams although it was fairly complicated to use.

Cons

Getting started with this software took a lot of effort for a team that wasn't familiar with this kind of platform. Even people who had already worked with other project management tools struggled to learn it and the workflows just didn't feel simple.
