User-friendly sprint planning

Pros

Assigning tasks, setting up sprints and running retrospectives all feel very user-friendly in this software. The integration with Confluence is another big plus and it helps make the whole workflow more efficient.

Cons

I really don't have any dislikes about it.

Clean UI and teamwork

Pros

One thing that really stood out to me was the platform's UI. It has made a real difference for our teams, not just in managing projects more effectively but also in communicating with each other in a much more efficient way.

Cons

At first, there was a bit of a learning curve when it came to figuring out how to navigate the platform. Once we understood how everything worked though, it became something our teams now rely on heavily every day.

Reporting and flexible boards

Pros

Across both small and large organizations, this is an incredibly capable tool with a lot of different use cases. I'm a scrum master on a software development team in a mid-to-large company and I use it to manage my team day to day. Our whole division relies on it and the reporting can roll up to leadership while also generating broader metrics for management. Just as important, it gives the team really strong reporting at the working level. On top of that, the boards are powerful and can be configured for either Scrum or Kanban. It also uses JQL for reporting which end users can learn without too much trouble and that makes it possible to create reports from virtually any data point in the system.

Cons

There's definitely a learning curve when you first start using it. I had experience with other boards before and most of them were much quicker to understand and begin working in. This one takes more effort to get up and running, largely because it's such a powerful and feature-rich tool.

Workflow integrations

Pros

There's a lot this platform can handle, if you can imagine a use case, chances are it can support it. The workflow builder is especially useful for process management. Being able to define that a task has to move through specific steps, land with the right person and get approved before it's marked complete is a really valuable feature. Another big plus is how well it connects with other tools. It seems to integrate with just about everything and everything can plug into it too, like sending a Slack notification when a certain kind of task gets finished.

Cons

That flexibility does come with a tradeoff though, the system can feel pretty complex. I'd really like the experience of navigating tasks and epics to be more simple. It still takes more effort than it should to jump directly to an epic or to see all of the tasks tied to one in a single view. I'd also like to see a more progressive UX approach, start with a simpler interface and then let users layer in more complexity only when they actually need it.

Agile teamwork and tracking

Pros

It works well for keeping the team aligned in an Agile environment. There are several useful features too, like bug tracking, task assignment and the ability to upload documents, images, code snippets and similar files which helps add more context and clarity to a bug.

Cons

Sometimes the interface feels a bit tricky to navigate. The ID numbers can also be somewhat confusing.

Workflow visibility

Pros

The amount of power and flexibility it gives for customizing workflows is fantastic. It keeps everyone aligned by making important information available in one place so there's much less need to message a teammate on Slack just to get an answer. It helps with questions like, where is this document, does someone have bandwidth to help, what is a person or small team currently working on and when is something likely to be finished. Having all of that visibility in one system saves a lot of time and makes work and time management much more effective.

Cons

At first, the platform can feel a bit overwhelming for new users who are still learning where everything is. For example, setting up a new filter may take some trial and error before it becomes clear how it is supposed to work.

Helpful issue alerts

Pros

Getting update notifications by being able to "watch" issues is something I really appreciate. The system is easy to navigate and it makes submitting issues simple both for myself and on behalf of clients.

Cons

Occasionally there are so many options available that, if you do not know the system well enough, it can lead to unnecessary tickets or to sending them to the wrong place.

Focused workflow and onboarding

Pros

One of the best things about this tool is how well it keeps the team focused by helping us concentrate on specific tasks. I also really appreciate the way it breaks large tasks down into smaller, more manageable pieces. On top of that, it's very easy to use which makes a big difference in day-to-day work. The interface feels user-friendly and training new users doesn't take much time at all.

Cons

Honestly, I haven't run into any downsides with it. It feels like a fully featured product and it works reliably enough that I don't face any real difficulty while using it.

Collaboration keeps projects aligned

Pros

This works really well for project managers and their teams to collaborate and get tasks completed on time and within budget. Tickets and tasks help everyone stay organized and give a quick, clear view of where each project stands. The priority rankings are also very helpful when you need a great overall overview.

Cons

Not having mobile access makes it harder to update projects or check on them while away from a desk. It's also on the expensive side although I can understand why based on what it offers.

Feature-packed and user-friendly

Pros

Plenty of features are included and the platform is fairly easy to use. It feels better than other similar tools, like Redmine and others in that category.

Cons

Some of the more advanced features are not as simple as I initially expected.

Industry-standard bug platform

Pros

Across every software company I've worked at, this has been the go-to tool for tracking bugs and managing issues. It really feels like the standard in Silicon Valley and in software teams everywhere. It keeps everyone aligned whenever something gets reported which is a huge help in development. From a designer's perspective, I'm constantly collecting input from creative leads, copywriters, marketing, developers and QA and this gives the whole team one place to stay coordinated. Without it, handling feedback from that many stakeholders would be much harder and far more chaotic.

Cons

One downside is that it's primarily web-based and from what I understand, the desktop app comes at an extra cost. Another frustration is that the web interface can be confusing at times because it looks a lot like Confluence. Even the URLs are very similar so it's not always obvious which one you're opening unless you rely on bookmarks. They do have different favicons but I'd still prefer clearer subdomains, like separate naming for this and Confluence because that would make it much more user-friendly.

simple scrum experience

Pros

Working with Scrum is much more manageable with this tool. The interface is clear and simple when creating stories, connecting them to epics and keeping track of the progress on tasks assigned to developers. It fits well into our development process and makes day-to-day tracking much more convenient.

Cons

Velocity and burndown charts could be expanded to show more detailed insights. Another downside is that the large number of features can make the platform feel clumsy to someone new since it is not always obvious where to go or what to do at first. The new-user experience could definitely be improved.

Feature-rich but awkward UI

Pros

Breaking larger jobs into smaller subtasks is really helpful especially in graphic design where big projects feel much more manageable that way. The unlimited storage is also a big plus since I can keep archiving our press-ready files without worrying about running out of space.

Cons

Platform isn't especially user-friendly and honestly the interface could use some work to feel more up to date. Still, it offers so many features that I can usually overlook that issue.

Bug tracking that delivers

Pros

Keeping tabs on every bug I've raised is one of the things I enjoy most about this tool. The variety of filtering options for the bug list really sets it apart and makes managing everything feel very user friendly.

Cons

One thing that still trips me up is logging in unless I already have the URL saved. If I try searching for the login page on Google, it's surprisingly hard to find a direct link.

Best for agile teams

Pros

Compared with many other project management tools, this is probably the strongest option for software development projects especially when working with an agile approach. It takes some time to learn but once you become familiar with it, it becomes an essential tool for monitoring project progress. Both project managers and developers get real value from using it.

Cons

There is definitely a fairly steep learning curve so it can be hard to get up to speed quickly if you're new to it.

Flexible planning and tracking

Pros

Getting started with this software is pretty easy and it offers a lot of configuration options. The flexible statuses and support fields make it possible to track issues and resolutions thoroughly. It also includes useful scheduling and prioritization tools that help a lot with project planning and ongoing tracking.

Cons

It's a powerful platform so it does take some time to learn everything fully.
