Separate dashboards help

Pros

Across many of my projects, having a separate dashboard for each one has been really helpful. I also appreciate that documents and images can be attached to a ticket which comes in handy quite often. The biweekly and monthly graphs are another useful feature and make it easier to keep track of things.

Cons

One issue I run into sometimes is during login, when it shows a "not available now, contact administrator" message.

Feature-packed solution

Pros

Packed with integrations and backed by a huge user community, this platform covers just about everything I need. It includes kanban boards, custom fields, triggers, alerts, a ticketing system and even a knowledge base, it really feels like it has all the essentials in one place.

Cons

Getting around the platform can feel a bit like navigating a maze. There's definitely a steep learning curve before everything starts to click.

Workflow customization

Pros

One of the biggest advantages is how much you can tailor it to match your own workflow. Features like custom filters have been absolute lifesavers and make day-to-day work much more manageable.

Cons

At the same time, quite a few parts feel confusing. Since the redesign some features seem to be missing and having to learn how the system worked before only to have it change afterward made things even more frustrating.

Agile visibility boost

Pros

Using it gives us much better visibility into the project and it also helps improve the team's productivity. It comes with plenty of plugins and they're simple to work with. Overall, it's one of the best tools for teams following agile methodology.

Cons

The reporting is good but there's still room to make that area better.

Pros

Keeping up with work is really convenient with this. It helps manage current assignments and backlogs without much hassle.

Cons

It seems to be designed very well overall and I honestly don't have any complaints.

Good basics but too many bugs

Pros

It handles the core functions well by letting your team create project tickets and tasks without much trouble. The email notifications are reliable and it also shows status updates clearly.

Cons

At the same time, it seems to have a countless number of bugs, including several tiny ones that should be simple to fix. A few buttons do not respond properly and when logging the time spent on a task, the duration can sometimes show incorrect values.

Powerful project tracking

Pros

Being able to track the time spent on projects with this software is something I really appreciate. It also helps our development team quickly get to relevant details from related projects, issues and other connected work while focusing on a specific task.

Cons

There's a slight learning curve and because the tool is so powerful, it often feels like there's always something new to learn.

Modern UI and tools

Pros

Ever since the 2018 UI update, this has felt like a modern, user-friendly SaaS product. I use the cloud version so I can't say whether the on-prem version is still around. It covers pretty much everything needed to manage projects with Scrum, Kanban or similar frameworks and the support ticketing module is great as well.

Cons

Its biggest weakness is the amount of flexibility it gives you because it really pushes customization. If you're looking for something that supports Scrum, Kanban or XP right out of the box without requiring a lot of setup, there are less expensive tools that are much simpler to roll out and maintain. Setting it up and administering it can be very complex, mostly because of its long history as a highly customizable platform. On top of that, the project creation flow tends to steer users away from the admin-defined templates and once that happens, fixing it takes quite a bit of effort.

Excellent bug tracking

Pros

Our software team uses this and it does an excellent job of keeping track of bugs, issues and feature requests. It really supports all parts of the team well and covers everything we need it to.

Cons

Honestly, nothing major comes to mind. The only thing worth mentioning is that it takes a little time to get used to at first but after a couple of weeks it becomes very easy to use.

Helpful dependency mapping

Pros

Once everything is linked the right way, you can trace the root cause of any task clearly and it shows the full tree in a really useful way.

Cons

Drag-and-drop behavior can be weird at times but aside from that it's really simple to use.

Frustrating speed and changes

Pros

Feature-wise, it packs in more than any other project management tool I've used. There's a lot available once you dig into it and it's clearly being actively developed, with regular bug fixes and new functionality added all the time.

Cons

Using this platform comes with two huge problems. The first is performance. Almost everyone I know runs it on the Atlassian-hosted version and it's really slow. When work gets busy and you need to move through several actions quickly, that lag becomes incredibly frustrating. The second issue is the nonstop changes. New features and fixes are definitely valuable but the downside is that the UI keeps shifting. With a platform this packed with functionality, developers, PMs and others already need time to learn it properly and just when they do, the interface changes again. It's really, really frustrating.

powerful sprint planning

Pros

This has been working really well for our web development projects and the company overall. It gives us detailed visibility, makes task tracking easy and does a strong job supporting sprint planning. In general, it keeps all of our requested website updates, fixes and enhancements organized in one place so we always know what's being worked on and what the current status is.

Cons

One downside is that it's a very powerful platform so if you're not using it regularly, it can be hard to navigate. It really feels built for daily use and to serve as the central hub for project management.

Amazing features

Pros

Packed with features, this app feels incredibly powerful. I haven't come across another agile project management tool that offers such a broad range of functionality. Aside from Trello, this is probably one of the most influential apps in the space especially because its feature set pulled large numbers of people toward it during its early growth.

Cons

Getting started took longer than expected because the UX flow makes initial adoption slower than apps like Pivot Tracker. That seems to come from the product being designed around offering nearly every feature an agile project manager might want to use.

Fast and user-friendly support

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how quickly it lets us launch a response. It also makes it possible to give targeted answers to specific IT issues which helps a lot in daily support work. The system is very simple to use so just about anyone can work with it without much trouble making it quite user-friendly. On top of that, it helps the IT department keep issues organized and resolve them efficiently.

Cons

The only downside is that the software looks quite plain and the design could use more visual appeal.

Helpful test management

Pros

Working through test cases with the team feels very easy and that usability has been the biggest plus. Keeping track of active testing across a large project is something that really needs attention and this tool has been genuinely helpful for that.

Cons

At the time I used it, the software was only available as a web-based tool. I think it would have been even more useful if there had also been an installed desktop version for my machine.

Strong engineering fit but awkward workflow

Pros

After trying a long list of agile project management tools, this is the only one that really fits the way an engineering team works. It covers all the essentials and then some, ticket creation, sprint planning, basic sprint tracking and metrics, GitHub integration and the other core features you'd expect in a great workflow tool.

Cons

Even though it has improved over the last few years, the product still feels hard to use overall. A lot of routine actions are more awkward than they should be. For example, you can't view the full ticket title while looking at a sprint. Clicking into a ticket just to read the full title opens a modal and once that modal is closed, the page jumps back to the top of the scroll which makes reviewing a long ticket list frustrating. Reordering tickets inside an epic is also awkward since you can only move a ticket to the very top or bottom and the update does not appear until the page is refreshed. On top of that, estimates can only be added from the backlog or sprint view, not from within an epic and the issue order inside an epic often does not stay consistent when viewed in the backlog.

great experience overall

Pros

I value its large user community, extensive integrations and third-party connectors and its ability to provide a complete project roadmap from initial development through deployment. I also like that it offers a comprehensive software development environment suitable for production-grade applications.

Cons

I find debugging somewhat challenging and configuring issue logging and tracking with Eclipse requires additional setup steps. I also noticed that issue imports are limited to CSV files, as the tool does not provide a dedicated JSON import option.

Centralized tracking win

Pros

We rely on it for project management and it works really well as a shared space for team collaboration. People can comment back and forth, upload documents and attachments and keep an eye on progress all in one place. Having everything stored in a single centralized location that anyone on the team can access is especially helpful.

Cons

A frustrating limitation in the way we use it is that an issue can only be assigned to one person at a time which often doesn't fit how our projects actually run. Once it's assigned to someone, it shows up on that person's personal dashboard but disappears from everyone else's and that can lead to tasks being overlooked. It also only allows one due date which is restrictive since most of our work moves through multiple stages. Being able to add several due dates would make it much easier to track progress and see whether we're staying on schedule.
