secure team tracking

Pros

This has been a really useful tool for assigning work and keeping track of the progress across team members. It also gives us a safe way to store and share data within the team.

Cons

At times, the response speed gets too slow and that can affect productivity.

reliable bug history

Pros

One of the best parts is how well it handles bug management. Keeping track of bug history is very effective and that makes it much easier to monitor issues over time.

Cons

Customer support still has room for improvement and it would be even better if more new features were added.

integration powerhouse

Pros

Working as a Quality Expert, I've been using this tool for the past few years and it has been very useful throughout. The workflows can be configured to match specific needs which makes it quite flexible. The way artifacts are linked at every stage of the process is excellent and really stands out. It also integrates well with many open tools, including reporting options and other plugins. There is detailed documentation available which helps a lot. My favorite integrations are with Jenkins and GitHub and the support for artifactory management and CI/CD pipelines is especially valuable.

Cons

Getting into customization takes quite a bit of homework since understanding and exploring all the features is not quick. The wide range of available plugins can also feel overwhelming and sometimes leaves me lost among too many solution choices. I'd also like to see notifications become more customizable.

developer-friendly platform

Pros

Right out of the box, it's a dependable tool for running software development but where it really shines is in how deeply it can be customized. It does an excellent job of adapting to your team's own development process and release cycle instead of forcing you into a limited workflow. With the platform itself plus the wide range of add-ons available, it can support nearly every phase of a project. I've also connected it with other parts of the business to keep product development closely linked with client billing and day-to-day operations and I've even used it as a CRM for tracking leads and opportunities although that's not really the use case I'd recommend most.

Cons

That level of integration comes with added complexity and the company hasn't done enough when it comes to standardizing workflows or providing clear documentation and step-by-step guidance for managing the system. After you get familiar with it, it becomes manageable but getting to that point takes time because the learning curve is definitely steep. Pricing can also climb quickly as your team grows and as you add more plug-ins, both in terms of user licenses and upgrade costs. It's worth reviewing the total cost of ownership carefully before committing.

confusing workflow design

Pros

Reporting bugs is easy and it's simple to assign them to the right person and follow their progress. I can also see the full history of an issue from the moment it's reported until it gets resolved. On top of that, the platform offers a lot of customization options and a wide range of features.

Cons

At the same time, actually finding issues and bugs can be frustrating. The dashboard needs to be manually adjusted before it shows useful things like items assigned to you. The more advanced features also come with a pretty steep learning curve. The overall design and interface feel confusing and harder to use than they should be. For instance, there's no real way to reply directly to someone on an issue so you have to leave comments instead which ends up emailing and spamming everyone watching the thread.

great value features

Pros

This platform brings a lot to the table for an organization in terms of features and overall functionality. At the same time, it really depends on the quality of the data you put into it since the value you get back reflects that. It's also a strong fit for younger companies and startups watching their budget because the user licenses are very affordable. You end up getting a lot of software capabilities without spending a ton of money.

Cons

One frustration has been how poorly it works with Microsoft Word. Our organization relies heavily on Microsoft Office and we often write documents and feature requirements in Word. Copying and pasting comments or instructions from Word into a task in the platform is a real hassle and takes more effort than it should.

winning customization

Pros

The software offers an impressive amount of customization while still feeling simple to use. Even though it has a lot of depth, it's surprisingly quick to learn and work with. The detailed organizational structure makes it possible for multiple teams to stay fully separate and run very different workflows, all under the same suite or subscription. It's been a real crowd pleaser.

Cons

That same level of complexity can make things a bit tough for newcomers especially when it comes to figuring out the finer points of setting up user groups and special permissions by project or task type.

team-fit ticketing

Pros

Every day at work, this software helps me stay on top of my assignments. Being able to upload files directly into a ticket is really useful and I can easily follow the progress of each assignment with both my team and the person who submitted the request. The option to connect related tickets and set a parent ticket also keeps everything organized by campaign or event which makes a big difference. Another plus is that someone on our side can customize the ticket requests so they better match the needs of our design team. For instance, we require the reporter to choose a priority level and add labels whenever they create a ticket.

Cons

There honestly isn't much I dislike about this software. If I could change one thing, I'd want image thumbnails to appear directly inside each ticket instead of having to click the attachment and wait for a popup window to open.

complex project dashboards

Pros

Handling large development projects with lots of moving pieces is where this really shines. It lets you keep a huge amount of information in one place and adding details is easy, including pasting screenshots directly into tickets or issues. Building dynamic dashboards is also quick and practical which makes tracking everything much easier.

Cons

There's definitely a steep learning curve for anyone who isn't very technical. Team members who aren't naturally into product or project management can end up feeling overwhelmed and may have a hard time finding their way around.

shared bug knowledge

Pros

It lets us build bug-fix documentation for our software and the whole team can work from the same items together.

Cons

Interface feels awkward and it really doesn't work well for test plans that we run every month. The most frustrating part is that there's no way to globally uncheck all the boxes after a test plan has been completed. We have to go back and manually clear every single box to get it ready for the next month which is very tedious.

Awkward search experience

Pros

It does connect well with other products like Stash but beyond that there really isn't much that stands out.

Cons

Using it is frustrating overall. The interface feels overly complicated and the search function isn't very good either.

Git branching support

Pros

For me this tool is easy to use and flexible enough to adapt to different needs. The Git plug-in really makes life easier for developers especially when creating branches.

Cons

Performance could be better since it can feel slow at times. Single sign-on also doesn't seem to be implemented very well.

Pros

Tickets and Sprint features are the highlights for me especially the time estimation and tracking module which I really enjoy using.

Cons

great for small teams

Pros

With a smaller team, the licensing cost makes this a very practical option. It also helps your staff build skills that are regularly mentioned in job listings which sets them up well for future success.

Cons

It still takes some effort to configure it the way you want. Once your team starts growing, it's worth planning for a dedicated team member or at least setting aside specific time for ongoing maintenance.

handles complex workflows

Pros

There's a huge amount of flexibility here and it can be tailored in almost endless ways if you or someone on your team has the time to really learn the system and work through the issues that come up. It's especially well suited for more complex software products or bigger development teams where there are lots of moving pieces and several steps in the process.

Cons

UI is one of the weaker parts of the platform and could be much better. On top of that, the overall complexity makes it pretty easy for moderately experienced admins to accidentally create problems for themselves which then turns into more troubleshooting. If you plan to customize anything, it's smart to leave plenty of extra time to catch errors and make sure everything is set up correctly.

project tracking powerhouse

Pros

Right from the start, the range of features and functionality really stood out to me. It offers excellent ways to manage technical projects in a very effective and practical manner. One thing I particularly appreciate is the wide selection of plugins available for filtering data which makes it much easier to get a project snapshot based on specific requirements. It also helps a lot with communication since connecting with both internal and external stakeholders feels simple and hassle-free.

Cons

There honestly are not many downsides to mention. If I had to point out a limitation, it would be that when the data volume becomes too large, exporting and reporting can sometimes run into issues. The installation process can also be a little tricky at times which may cause some inconvenience in the beginning.

hard to navigate

Pros

It does the job it's meant to do and works efficiently for its core purpose even though there are still quite a few inefficiencies throughout the system.

Cons

Software comes across as something built by an internal team that prioritized function far more than design, usability or overall user experience. A lot of the layout and workflow doesn't feel very simple and when creating or reviewing tickets, it can be frustratingly hard to find what you need.
