Agile project tracking

Pros

Interface feels simple and user-friendly and it comes packed with plenty of strong project management features. It's especially useful when working with Agile methodology.

Cons

One frustrating part is that the interface keeps getting changed so it can be hard to know where things are or where to find what you need.

Flexible team workflows

Pros

It gives teams the freedom to shape their software development process exactly the way they want and need it which makes it very adaptable to different working styles.

Cons

At times it can feel a bit confusing because there are so many options available to sort through.

Strong automation but dated design

Pros

The automations are a big plus and being able to collaborate and interact with multiple teams is really valuable.

Cons

Interface feels very outdated, like something from the 80s and it doesn't seem like it has been refreshed in years.

Flexible search and customization

Pros

One thing that really works well is how configurable it is to fit the way your team operates. The search feature is also quite flexible and supports a wide range of filters which makes it useful for narrowing things down.

Cons

It isn't always simple to use and the layout feels cluttered which makes it hard to quickly find the information you need on a page. The styling also doesn't help much with readability or understanding. On top of that, our IT ticket pages include a lot of information we don't actually need although I assume those fields can probably be configured out.

Agile tracking with dashboards

Pros

Right away, this has been very helpful for assigning and tracking tasks while keeping project delivery aligned with agile methodology. The workflow management follows the software development process step by step and each stage is triggered in sequence which makes progress much easier to manage. It also provides reports that are useful for presenting project status to both management and the team. The dashboard feature is especially strong and gives a clear view of what's going on.

Cons

The UI still feels a bit clumsy and could definitely be improved with a better design. It would also be much more useful if it came with a mobile app and expanded mobile functionality overall.

Strong setup with slow performance

Pros

Once I got past the very long learning curve, it turned out to be an extremely configurable piece of software.

Cons

Performance was really slow and usability was a constant problem. A lot of common tasks took several page reloads to complete. The product was improving little by little but frontend updates usually introduced a new batch of bugs. For instance, comments would disappear if you switched to another tab and then came back.

Pricey add-ons and limited workflow

Pros

There are plenty of add-ons available although they come at an extra cost and can get expensive quickly. We ended up using a few of them, like the kanban board and Git integration but skipped the others. It's capable of handling multiple projects at the same time even when they vary a lot in size and complexity. Security is set up very well though it can also feel restrictive at times since you often need to go through the IT administrator to get certain permissions or features enabled.

Cons

This software really needs a structured way of working so it doesn't feel very flexible if your processes are more informal. The UI can also be a bit sluggish and doesn't always give the kind of polished, responsive feedback you'd expect from newer web apps. On top of that, the cost becomes fairly high once you start selecting different modules.

Project planning tools

Pros

Being able to create tasks, sub-tasks and similar items works really well. Using projects, epics and sprints also makes it a strong option for handling larger projects in an organized way.

Cons

I think it can be pretty confusing for new users. The training usually needs to be much more thorough to help people reach a basic level of use compared with other project management platforms.

Complete project control

Pros

It feels like the most complete and capable tool for managing and keeping control of a project.

Cons

Getting familiar with it could be simpler but that's mostly because it comes with a lot of options.

Helpful team feedback

Pros

It's fairly simple to use and does a good job of keeping track of comments from all team members.

Cons

Sorting comments can be a little confusing at times, search doesn't always work in the most easy way and the boards aren't very simple.

Easy reporting insights

Pros

Querying data and building reports for test management insights is very convenient and saves a lot of time.

Cons

Interface could look and feel much better and too often a single click accidentally puts things into edit mode.

Project tracking that works

Pros

Keeping track of project issues and action items across the full life of the program is very manageable with this software.

Great agile planning

Pros

It is a really good tool for managing requirements, user stories and similar project needs in an agile way. It also offers strong functionality for handling Kanban boards and tracking progress with burndown chart reporting.

Cons

Its integration with Microsoft VSTS isn't very strong right now so that part could definitely use some improvement.

Flexible workflow views

Pros

This app offers a lot of different ways to set up and work with the data you put into it. That flexibility makes it possible for each user to choose the view that fits the way they work best, whether that's handling QA and tracking software issues, fixing bugs as a developer or overseeing the software lifecycle as a product owner.

Cons

Tradeoff for all that flexibility is that there's definitely a learning curve since it takes time to understand the many different ways you can interact with the application.

Bloated and buggy

Pros

There's a lot packed into it and the company behind it clearly wants to turn it into a powerhouse for issue tracking and management.

Cons

It feels heavy, runs slowly and too often the bugs happen quietly without any clear warning.

Packed with features

Pros

It comes with a huge range of features which is a big plus even though it does take some time to really learn and use them all well.

Cons

The interface isn't always the most user-friendly. The email notification settings can be confusing to sort out especially if you're trying to avoid getting spammed while tickets are being updated. Starting a ticket can also feel a bit frustrating because there are so many fields to fill in.

Great for agile teams

Pros

This is probably one of the strongest tools in its category especially for agile teams and for managing service, support and development work across different groups.

Cons

Over time though, it has become more complex and a lot less simple. It used to be much simpler to move around between projects and handling day-to-day work doesn't feel as easy anymore.

Better product planning

Pros

Even though it's still fairly new to our development team, it has already made a huge difference for our developers. It has been incredibly helpful throughout our product development process. We have much better visibility now, we're reaching our goals and we're meeting deadlines more consistently because of it. We plan to keep using it to build, strengthen and improve our product over time. We also really appreciated having access to the free trial.

Cons

One thing I'd still love to see is integration with a few more tools or an open API option that would let us connect it through Zapier.

Clear interface and reporting

Pros

Right away, the web interface felt simple rather than awkward which made it pleasant to work with. From the data entry side, everything is very self-explanatory and it also handles all the reporting I could want.

Cons

It was so easy to use that I never needed to ask for or go through any advanced training. The only downside is that I probably still don't know every feature or capability it offers.

Source control integration

Pros

Having source control built in, along with all the webhooks we need for our pipelines, has been a big plus. It's a very powerful product overall.

Cons

Getting real value out of most of the features takes advanced resources and in many cases that means pulling people away from other work while they learn the product's proprietary setup. Even standard things like burn-down charts at the task level and story points at the story level took too much effort to get working. The platform is capable of a lot but the setup and customization required to do almost anything felt very tough.
