Friendlier look but cluttered dashboard

Pros

This tool covers most of the functionality you need and the recent refresh to the look and feel has made it more user-friendly.

Cons

The dashboard still has problems. You can't find tickets you were following if you didn't create them, the interface feels overcrowded with too much happening at once, notifications are easy to miss and overall many of the features feel pretty basic.

Better team documentation

Pros

It fits nicely into our existing system and gives engineering, product management and ops teams broader access. It's quick to use and has helped improve documentation across every team.

Cons

At this point, I haven't run into any problems with it. It's been working well for what we need.

Great for issue tracking

Pros

Handling internal communication with this tool has been a big help. As an AM, I need to move fast and work efficiently when client issues come up and it does a really good job of supporting that. Responding quickly and keeping track of issues is simple which makes my day-to-day work much more manageable.

Cons

It feels like there are quite a few features we still are not taking full advantage of. Better team training or education might help us get more out of the platform.

Reliable standard with dated interface

Pros

When it comes to task tracking in the IT industry, this is still the standard. It's dependable and great enough to trust with mission-critical processes.

Cons

At the same time, the interface is beginning to feel outdated and really needs a refresh. It also feels too crowded, with too many options for most users.

Agile setup and integrations

Pros

Getting this up and running for basic Agile IT project support only takes a few minutes and the interface is easy to use and configure. It also works really well with other systems especially tools like Bamboo and Bitbucket. Another big plus is the wide range of plugins available, both free and paid which makes it easy to extend the functionality when needed.

Cons

One downside is that a lot of plugins only work with the on-demand version of the tool. Costs can also climb pretty quickly once you start adding a large number of users.

Clean boards and quick updates

Pros

The visual setup of the project boards is really well done so new team members can get up to speed quickly and start using it right away. The boards are user-friendly and being able to customize fields helps a lot which means our morning meetings only take a few minutes to review task statuses and make updates.

Cons

Getting to the site to use it can be a bit tough at times and that makes it pretty forgettable. I've actually had to add calendar reminders for myself just to remember to log in and update our team's board.

Agile suite for teams

Pros

Built with developers in mind, this tool delivers real Agile support for handling technical projects. It goes well beyond basic project management and covers the full development lifecycle with a strong set of issue-tracking features. From backlog creation and planning to organizing work across as many sprints as needed, it gives teams a clear way to map out the entire project. Keeping an eye on progress is easy and the collaboration features, including comment threads, make teamwork much better. It also supports tracking projects and related work across releases through its release management tools while offering detailed reporting on performance and overall progress. Another big advantage is how flexible it is, there are ready-made templates across its features but they can also be adjusted to match the needs of your team and organization. Instead of forcing a limited process, it lets you shape workflows around how your team actually operates. On top of that, it comes with a huge range of integrations and add-ons that expand what it can do even further.

Cons

Because it is so powerful and detailed, it can also feel overwhelming for some users especially when their development setup is fairly simple. It can work in almost any environment but its depth and powerfulness are much more suited to enterprise-level teams. In smaller or less complex projects, that same strength can make it seem unnecessarily complicated and tough.

Centralized teamwork for fast launches

Pros

At a large clothing retailer where promotional coupons and customer emails move fast, this platform keeps the whole collaboration process in one place for building and testing campaigns. It's really useful having everyone involved, communications, QA and IT troubleshooting, working together in the same space so issues can be handled quickly. The ability to tag teammates is a big plus when something needs immediate attention especially since emails and promotions often go from creation to launch within 48 hours. Another feature I really value is being able to add sub-tasks under a main project which helps keep everything organized without digging through separate related items. It's also convenient to attach documents directly to projects or tasks for quick downloading. I also appreciate being able to save searches and filters on the home page, for example, I keep one filter just for email projects and another for promotional work. After that, the results can be sorted by title, last updated date and a few other options.

Cons

The interface can feel a little overwhelming at first because you're met with a very large list of projects and the search feature doesn't always return exactly what you expect. There's definitely a learning curve when it comes to figuring out the navigation. I'd also like to see tags or a few more categorization options so projects could be searched using additional parameters. For the kind of short-term email and promo work I handle, that limitation isn't a major issue but I can see how other teams or use cases would benefit from having that functionality.

Feature-packed but hard to use

Pros

It's incredibly comprehensive, with a huge range of features that can be useful when you need them. You can accomplish almost anything with it and it helps a lot of companies reach their goals.

Cons

User experience is basically nonexistent. Even after the redesign, it still feels terrible to use. It comes across as a product built by developers only for developers and even MS-DOS felt more considerate of usability. A few examples, in 2018, it still opened links in the same tab which makes no sense. On top of that something that should be very simple can take 5 to 10 clicks, when realistically it should only take 1 or 2 at most.

Helpful issue tracking and updates

Pros

Reporting problems in our custom-built application is really easy with this tool. It gives us a simple way to communicate with the developers, attach screenshots or error details and follow the progress of every ticket we submit.

Cons

One limitation is that when a developer creates a ticket themselves, the user has no option to close it. Another downside is that closed tickets are not archived so when there are a lot of them, you end up sorting through both old and current tickets.

Fast and feature-rich UI

Pros

It feels very complete, runs fast and the interface looks really good.

Cons

Task tracking with rich features

Pros

Being able to track tasks, along with their progress and updates, is the part I appreciate most.

Cons

This tool takes a little more effort to use than some other project management tools but that mainly comes from the wide range of features it offers.

Customization for growing teams

Pros

It's a very powerful platform with a lot of depth and it can be tailored really well to match the way your company works.

Cons

There are plenty of features we never ended up using and it honestly feels better suited to larger companies than to startups.

Helpful tracking for sales items

Pros

The tracking has been really useful since we rely on it to manage all open items coming from our sales team in the field back to the home office.

Cons

This may come down to how our setup is configured but when we're out in the field, we can't always view the same elements that are visible to the team in the corporate office.

Clear task tracking and updates

Pros

Keeping up with what teammates are working on is really easy and it's simple to see every change that's been made to each task along the way.

Cons

A few parts can still be tricky. Switching over to related apps like Confluence and then getting back can feel a little confusing until you're used to it. Also, if an issue gets duplicated by mistake, you seem to be left with both versions unless there's a merge option I'm not aware of.

Task tracking hub

Pros

Handling all kinds of work is very convenient with this tool, whether it's software development issues, test cases or other agile-focused tasks and projects. It also makes it really useful to connect tasks or issues with related items in remote repositories like BitBucket.

Cons

At the beginning, the interface can feel a bit cluttered because there are so many options available. It's possible to feel lost early on but that usually fades with regular use and better task organization.

Great for project tracking

Pros

On a daily basis, this has been my go-to tool for project management and issue tracking. It works really well for setting up epics, along with scrum and kanban boards. Assigning work to team members is easy and keeping an eye on the progress of those tasks is just as convenient. The scrum board is especially useful when you want a clear overall view of how the project is moving. All in all, it feels like an essential tool for managing projects.

Cons

Getting started wasn't very simple because the documentation and tutorials are quite limited. Creating filters and figuring out how to work with them can be a pretty complicated process. At times, the application also feels slow and a bit bloated. Even with those issues and a few smaller bugs here and there, it still ends up being a good tool overall.

Sprint tracking tools

Pros

The board gives a clear view of what's happening in the sprint and the dashboards work well whether you're using Product IT or Agile IT. Flex is also a very useful app and the available templates make it simple to create IT items or custom templates for bugs, enhancements and similar work.

Cons

One drawback is that older issues can be a little difficult for new users to locate and it definitely takes some time to get used to that.

Pros

It's a feature-rich platform with a lot of advanced capabilities and the level of customization is impressive. Even with how complex it is, the interface is still easy to use.
