Wanted to make this a priority for my business, but customer service is terrible.

Pros

Managing bids, change-orders and scheduling becomes a simples tasks with Knowify. Although the intended integration with QuickBooks hasn't worked out yet in theory, it would be fantastic.

Cons

The customer service team doesn't take the time to thoroughly understand the issue. There are multiple tiers of support but they tend to provide quick reactions to solve the problem without truly helping. The program itself only occasionally syncs with QuickBooks. If you don't enter information properly it can mess up your numbers and throw off your books. Getting access to human assistance is challenging. The input work requires more effort than the results it produces.

Knowify has helped us streamline our estimating process.

Pros

Knowify is incredibly user friendly once you have it set up. The online signature feature is excellent and makes securing signatures effortless. Online billing seamlessly syncs with QuickBooks.

Cons

Editing times in the time tracker can be difficult. It took some time for our employees to adapt to using the time tracker and fixing their recorded time was difficult.

Love the Software ! Best one on the Market ! New App is Great !

Pros

The tech support at Knowify is amazing. They promptly answer my questions and are open to suggestions for program improvements. They even customize reports based on my needs. The software is continually enhanced to ensure a more intuitive user experience.

Cons

It would be beneficial to have more detailed YouTube videos demonstrating how to use the software based on the current version. Additionally having more pop up links within the software saying "Click here to learn more" would be useful.

Setup and ease of use is great. Clients got going right away and with little training.

Pros

The smooth sync with QuickBooks Online is excellent. The customer support is outstanding as they respond quickly during business hours. The interface is simple, useful and easy to navigate, making it perfect for DIY users.

Cons

Perhaps there could be better pricing options for non users who still need to be tracked for job reports but don't actually use the software.

Great progress!!

Pros

Knowify is easy to use and web-based. The tech support team is highly responsive and the purchase order and change order systems work flawlessly.

Cons

There are some features that are not there such as submittals, the ability to copy breakdown items from one phase to another and a limited selection of reports.

Nothing else like it!

Pros

Knowify brings together almost every aspect into one system. I can effortlessly track my jobs, monitor their progress and manage costs to stay within budget. The ability to use e-signature contracts and proposals keeps our business paperless, which our clients love. With a few clicks they can accept proposals and make payments. Before Knowify my desk was covered in piles of paper but now everything is neatly organized in one place.

Cons

Certain features are missing. There are times when we need to provide a price range on an estimate but Knowify doesn't offer this feature. It can also be a bit challenging and time-consuming to add hours if my employees prefer not to use the app on their phones for automatic tracking.

Easily tracks jobs and costs associated with the jobs.

Pros

Knowify interacts with QBO and I like the available reports. Navigating between open and outstanding jobs is easy, and I can conveniently attach documents in one place.

Cons

Occasionally, the connection between QBO and Knowify doesn't function properly. When this occurs I contact support and they promptly resolve the issue. Their quick assistance is greatly appreciated.

Absolutely the best job costing app for subcontractors and trades that integrates with QuickBooks.

Pros

The two-way sync with QuickBooks, the ability to create AIA-style billings directly within the program and the seamless integration with excellent apps like ClockShark and TSheets are just some of the great features of Knowify. The dashboard provides valuable insights into the profitability of each current job, and the software makes budgeting and bidding effortless. With a wealth of available reports and much more, Knowify truly excels.

Cons

Some improvements could be made to the service ticket aspect of the program to make it more inclusive. If a purchase order is fulfilled in QuickBooks there's no way to match it in Knowify, so it needs to be manually closed out on the Knowify side.

Amazing. Couldn't be a better product for my needs and Terrin's support is unparalleled.

Pros

Knowify is perfectly tailored for the service industry. It is an incredibly user friendly tool with a detailed set of features that make managing my business a breeze.

Cons

The mobile app has very limited functionality for all users making it difficult to perform most tasks without being in front of a desktop.

Knowify helped our company streamline our job costing and invoicing.

Pros

I am a big fan of the time card input, the dashboard view of active jobs and the expense syncing functionality with QuickBooks.

Cons

When implementing the software for ongoing jobs there isn't a good method to transfer the data to Knowify for synchronization with QuickBooks. It would be helpful to have a bit more flexibility when creating invoices and the option to create a detailed budget (Professional mode) for a job in Knowify while still being able to track expenses at the job level.

I really like the software. It has made our invoicing system so much easier and job costing.

Pros

I absolutely love the invoicing system, contracts and the seamless email sync. The employees ability to check into specific jobs is fantastic. There's a lot to appreciate, and the customer service is excellent.

Cons

I find the CHECK/IN-OUT view versus the REVIEW time screen for clocking hours to be a bit awkward. I would prefer if these two features were combined with a running clock on the clock/in-out view. I am really focusing on my employees attendance records and punctuality so it becomes redundant to individually "fix" their clock-in times when reviewing for payroll purposes. It's a bit clunky and repetitive. We encountered issues with the old app, but the new one seems to be functioning better, and we're also learning to use the job board more effectively. It would be great to have a way to change the job they're working on from the clock-in/out view. Personally, I prefer this view the most, but I'm not as enthusiastic about the review time screen.

Try to "live" in Knowify every day.Customer service is great!

Pros

The YouTube tutorials for Knowify are fantastic making it easy to incorporate the software into your business. Knowify keeps adding new modules and functions across all areas of use. The proactive customer service team is knowledgeable and consistently seeks client feedback to enhance the software. The reporting capabilities are impressive.

Cons

We have experienced software glitches that impact our Knowify reporting. Additionally we need to gain a better understanding of templates (although it could be an issue on our end).

Love Knowify. It has completely transformed my business for the better.

Pros

Knowify provides quick improvement for new features unlike waiting a year with other platforms. The mobile app is consistently updated and browsing through its version history is a testament to their dedication. The customer service is excellent and if a solution doesn't exist for your problem they will create one.

Cons

The only thing missing is built-in app notifications and calendar integration which are reportedly coming soon.

As a Quickbooks desktop Beta customer, we are still ironing out some sync troubles.

Pros

Knowify offers many useful modules although not all of them work with QBD just yet. Once the sync is figured out, it will be a complete solution for estimating, time-tracking, invoicing and scheduling. While we don't use the Plan and Track feature I can see its potential value. Emailing customers is effortless, and sending purchase orders is a breeze. Obtaining customer signatures is also simple.

Cons

The billing module is extremely detailed making it time-consuming to enter bills. It would be beneficial to have a shortcut for selecting an expense account without needing to enter an "Item". Additionally, allocating to the job based on the contract rather than an item could be helpful. Is there an autofill feature or a way to copy a previous bill? The default accounts are confusing. For a while they didn't save after being entered and many of them don't allow us to choose a COGS type account. The time tracker doesn't sync at all. The sub-customer doesn't autofill the address of the top customer. The template formats for estimates/invoices aren't editable, and I'd like to customize which fields appear and where they're placed on the document. I can't create a $0 estimate, and sometimes customers want to choose from options. The class information didn't sync. In the Plan and Track section, it would be great if the work order could autofill the item description from the contract. It would also be helpful if comments were visible in time entries without having to click on them to see.

This software has been a huge time saver.

Pros

Once the estimate gets approved my office work is complete. All employees can effortlessly track their time and materials directly to the job without any extra effort when it's time to invoice.

Cons

I am not very happy that my employees can't view all the time they have entered for the past two weeks. although this may have changed with the latest update.

Knowify has made our billing so much easier.

Pros

I love that Knowify is web based and also the customer support team is fantastic. It is very easy to use.

Cons

The final billing should not combine retainage push with the current months retainage accrual. They should be separate.

The only product out there to attempt to tackle the various types of jobs and billing in the trades.

Pros

The ability to create various contract styles and handle T&M work is invaluable for our company, considering the diverse customer types we serve. Office staff find it easier to manage service work tickets and dispatching. The timekeeping per job is far more accurate than our old paper system, instantly generating more billable hours.

Cons

The app has presented challenges for our field technicians when it comes to adding materials. With around 2800 different parts in our inventory, it can be difficult to locate the correct item to include in a ticket.

Excellent customer service very easy to work with!

Pros

I like how Knowify handles job costing and Change Orders. It is great that clients have the option to sign and return them.

Cons

The team frequently encounters problems with clocking in using the app. It is often very slow and sometimes they can't clock in at all. It would be fantastic if this could be improved.

Field service that can actually track costs!

Pros

The standout features for me are the job costing and purchase order management.

Cons

I wish the quoting module was more streamlined or had the ability to pre-set certain quote settings. Some of the required options are repetitive for our type of quoting. However considering we handle thousands of quotes a year, it is probably not what they had in mind.

This is how it should be and it's only getting better

Pros

Without a doubt, the best feature of Knowify is its seemingly simple yet comprehensive interface that intuitively generates more beneficial outputs than we initially imagined.

Cons

Initially, the interface seemed very straightforward in terms of how it should be used. However after working with the demo we discovered that it can be somewhat difficult when faced with certain nuances common to many contractors. So far, the Knowify team has been helpful in resolving these minor issues which were often due to our lack of understanding about certain settings rather than the program itself.
