“Leap is great but very expensive”
Pros
I really liked Leap because it fulfilled all the requirements perfectly. The UCPR forms and templates they provide were incredibly useful.
Cons
I recall that it was quite expensive, costing over $600 per month per user, and we were locked into a three year contract. The restrictions were significant, which is why we decided to switch.

“Leap Training”
Pros
The training session was excellent, and I discovered many new features that I wasn't previously aware of.

There is nothing specific that I dislike, except for the instances when it's not functioning properly.

“Law Connect Demonstration Follow Up”
Pros
My meeting with Kudzai was quite informative, and they thoroughly explained the numerous advantages of the system.
Cons
There were a few aspects in which we felt the system lacked when it came to Law Connect. Firstly, the inability to send emails directly from the Law Connect system and the fragmented storage of documents in different places. It would be beneficial if we could send all communications from one place within the Law Connect app, making it easier for both us and our clients. Secondly, the Law Connect app doesn't allow opening downloads as they have to be accessed through Leap.

“Review?”
Pros
Works seamlessly on my iPad, and I can dictate directly into matters. The ability to convert to PDF is also convenient. Bylawyers and Law Connect are additional features that enhance its functionality.
Cons
The promised full legal aid capability is not present.

“Leap has been quite helpful in allowing us to work from home.”
Pros
Implementing Leap took some time, but it was worth the effort. Our entire practice now runs solely on Leap and its Microsoft interfaces. We planned on temporarily moving towards the work-from-home system, but it has become permanent for us thanks to the software. We have saved a lot on office and travel costs. Its integration with Microsoft Office is the complete feature we have used. The flexibility to personalize estate planning templates and the convenience of drafting documents once those templates are in place have streamlined our planning approach by quite a margin.
Cons
There is some translation ambiguity between UK/Australian and US law practices, which is inconvenient for us, given that we routinely deal with all three regions. The learning curve is also very steep, often requiring our new users to spend days in training. And they need to improve their Microsoft Excel interface with the court forms. Customer support is also just average and is not quick at giving us a response.

“Robust case and firm management solution”
Pros
I have been using it for case management for about a year now. Opening files, creating folders, and creating business/personal cards are as quick as they would be in a Windows OS. Also, it can integrate with Xero for office accounts, which makes sending/receiving money easy.
Cons
There is just one thing that I am waiting for the vendor to add. Phone messages. It is crucial in our practice to have immediate access to phone messages on a client’s file but in a way that it only notifies the person dealing with that client. Instead, we receive company-wide alerts with Leap.

“Leap Case Management”
Pros
The system is highly specific and comprehensive as it ensures better customer service.
Cons
The transition period was extremely stressful. Any transition process is bound to have its problems, but I would have greatly benefited from accessing Leap University earlier to familiarize myself with Leap. It is quite different, so it takes some time to adjust.

“The idea is there but the follow-through needs some work”
Pros
The CRM's contact and matter cards are the standout feature for me.
Cons
I was disappointed to discover that several of the features advertised were not actually included after I signed a multi year contract. Despite the contract stating immediate access to the client portal, it took over six weeks for it to be set up, leaving us in a strange transition state. Additionally, although they promoted a workflow procedure, we were informed that it was only available in the UK and there was no estimate of when it would be available in the US. Another concern was the requirement for a third party to install the applications. While the installation itself took around 15 minutes per computer, the installer remained active on one of our firm's computers for over 12 hours. We raised our concerns about a potential data breach, but it took weeks for anyone to follow up, and when they did, we were simply told that nothing happened and it was okay. This is a serious data breach issue.

“Leap is straightforward but very powerful.”
Pros
We have successfully implemented Leap in our company to provide better services to our clients. It looks and feels very simple but manages to be extremely detailed and advanced. There has rarely been something we couldn’t accomplish using Leap, and a brief talk with the helpdesk frequently disclosed that the feature we needed has always been there and is easily accessible. Support is always quick and efficient, and it mostly solves many issues. I like how LEAP is open to community suggestions and discussions regarding modifications or additions to its product.
Cons
Using software to manage our cases was a new concept, especially considering our firm’s size. So, adjusting to a completely new thing at first was tough, and there was a strong desire to return to our old procedures. It took some time for us to overcome everyone’s anxieties and adjust to a new way of thinking. It was a major fault on our end, but it did not help that Leap’s agents could not guide us properly. We might have been okay if we had a little more guidance. However, the advantages of using LEAP significantly outweigh the difficult first learning curve.

“LEAP is the best platform we have ever used and don't see anything that could beat it”
Pros
The abundance of guides and precedents available to us is quite helpful and saves a tremendous amount of time.

Having greater administrative control would simplify my life, although I am aware that they are making changes to address this.

“Very good system”
Pros
We made the switch to Leap from DPS almost three years ago. We've found LEAP to be a highly user-friendly system that can be easily accessed remotely, allowing us to operate a paperless office.
Cons
The system lacks easy report generation for demonstrating LAA compliance hours, and the helpdesk is slow to respond. However, the account manager assigned to us has been excellent, providing valuable assistance that compensates for these issues. I do feel that I'm not fully benefiting from the system, and it would be beneficial if they offered refresher training courses.

“The most frustrating service ever”
Pros
If it hadn't been for my personal client relationship manager, I would have left sooner.
Cons
The billing process lacks a telephone service, and the web chat is cumbersome. Billing itself is challenging, as the auto reminders stopped working despite multiple requests for assistance over 1.5 years. The calendar booking system was non-functional, and e-signatures were difficult to use, causing inconvenience for clients. Training was outsourced to a third party who failed to address my questions adequately. Additionally, the autofields for drafting precedents were not user-friendly.

“LEAP review”
Pros
It was a good system, and they consistently kept up with billing codes and legal aid developments.
Cons
From June 2018 to May 2021, we used the system and encountered persistent issues with word integration and PDF conversion, which were never resolved. The system also failed to communicate with Xero.

“Not worth at all”
Pros
I joined them 14 months ago and since then I have regretted that decision every single day.
Cons
Initially, they were very friendly and persistent in getting me to sign the contract. However, I soon realized that nobody responded to my queries. Leap does not work with Apple or Mac computers, and they surprisingly fail to mention it. When I requested a money back guarantee within the first six months, they ignored my inquiries. Despite sending them over 30 emails to cancel the contract, they insisted that I had to stay with them for three years and continued deducting 100 from my account every month. I only used the software for a week before realizing it was incompatible with my equipment, but they showed no concern. I repeatedly asked for the complaint procedure, but they never responded.

Pros
It offers numerous functions essential for a legal practice, although it does require some time investment to learn all the features. Once mastered, working with it is fantastic.
