LEAP Review

Pros

The accessibility, transition to a paperless office, elimination of duplications, ease of training and continuity, real-time updates, excellent customer service and integration with other products are all key benefits.

Cons

I would prefer an annual refresher course at no additional cost.

Leap, Quick Books - a win, win

Pros

With just a click or two, everyone can access everything, making it highly transparent. It is easy to use on a daily basis for both attorneys and accounting personnel.

Cons

Although the quality of the available reports is good, there are areas where some improvements could be made.

LEAP Is an Incredible Product

Pros

Nearly every feature is intuitive and user friendly and the customer support is unparalleled in our experience.

Cons

Certain elements, such as font size and icon size in the Correspondence window, could be larger.

Great product and excellent customer service

Pros

Despite not being the most tech-savvy, I quickly learned the essentials. My support representative, who is also an attorney, was very helpful when I was new to the product and remains a valuable resource.

Cons

It would be beneficial to have an implemented sharefile system.

Great Product

Pros

LEAP allows for customization of matters and templates, significantly reducing time spent on various case areas. Their customer service is outstanding, always available to assist with any issues and guide you towards solutions. I also like the fact that LEAP consistently strives for improvement, caring about how the product benefits law firms. They take the time to review suggestions and collaborate on enhancing not just the software but also our firm's utilization of each feature to enhance our cases and efficiency.

Cons

Occasionally, the software experiences glitches, but LEAP promptly resolves the issues, so it doesn't cause major issues. Another useful feature that would be added is the ability to edit expenses once they are entered. The operating account feature could offer more flexibility in making edits after saving. In our previous software, we could edit descriptions and transactions when preparing an invoice for the court.

Unhappy

Pros

Unfortunately, I cannot provide any positive feedback as the problem I've encountered remains unresolved for weeks, and no one is willing to assist or provide updates. I'm left frustrated and annoyed, having spent days trying to reach someone either over the phone or via email.

Cons

Lack of customer support has become a major issue for me. Not being able to contact them. I am waiting for more than a week in a hope that they will resolve the problem but nothing happened so far. It is extremely frustrating and affecting my work.

A Legal system that gets better and better.

Pros

The Leap platform is simple to use, and both form templates and precedents can be customized. It integrates smoothly with various financial platforms. We use Xero, and it works seamlessly with it. The customer support is responsive and easily accessible. Most issues can be resolved through online training guides and user forums with minimal time and effort. The introduction of Customer Success Managers, who offer personalized support and are readily available, is excellent. When used as a CRM platform, the system truly delivers workflow and cost benefits.

Cons

Mobile access to Leap works well on Apple phones but lacks functionality on Android phones, which is a drawback. Surprisingly, Leap doesn't perform well on Apple Macs but functions excellently on PCs. Other legal system providers seem to have resolved this issue with their Android apps, considering that Android is the dominant and growing platform in the UK.

David Roberts is great - wish leap had a call centre

Pros

Billing and prompt payments are streamlined.

Cons

The customer service and file setup need improvement. The FAQs are insufficient, and the ticket system is slow. However, I must commend David Roberts for his exceptional support. His assistance is the sole reason I haven't canceled my subscription.

I am new to Leap

Pros

As the new Senior Partner at my firm, I, along with my secretary, needed to quickly familiarize ourselves with Leap (the current CMS), and we've been able to do so with ease! We're still learning but it's been user-friendly right from the start.

Cons

It's too early to form an opinion since there are numerous features that I still need to discover.

Review of Leap

Pros

We implemented Leap into our system over three years ago. Like any new system, it took time to adjust, but that's not a criticism of Leap as it was simply new to us. However, it's highly intuitive, and the support provided, if needed was really helpful.

Cons

Leap is constantly being upgraded and enhanced. I have no complaints about the system.

System/Functions review

Pros

There were several processes I wanted to simplify, and during a monthly system review, my account manager helped and directed me to relevant resources within the LEAP University syllabus. Now, I've been able to create automated processes that will be implemented across multiple practice areas, saving at least 35 to 45 minutes per file.

Cons

Upgrades sometimes cause issues with Microsoft integrations. I believe there should be more options for user permissions.

We love LEAP

Pros

LEAP is quite user-friendly, and the "how-to" articles are immensely helpful. The integration with Xero is smooth. Info Track is a time saving gem for conveyancers and reduces accounts work in reconciling the LR account, minimizing the chances of missing a search on a bill. The integration with forms is also fantastic, and the "print to LEAP" feature saves a significant amount of time.

Cons

It would be useful to have the ability to create or customize our own reports. When attaching forms to emails, it would be beneficial to have them arranged from newest to oldest within the folder. It's unfortunate that LEAP binds you to a three-year renewal deal.

User friendly and a 'must have' for any aspiring law firm.

Pros

The software is highly intuitive. It's not overly complex and significantly simplifies case management. The colored tab indicating that an email is already in the documents is a brilliant feature.

Cons

Practitioners often dictate correspondence, leading to delays in preparing an attendance note. Consequently, the "created" date may differ from the actual work date, affecting the chronology in documents.

A Mostly Positive Experience

Pros

The case management aspect is highly effective, especially when combined with Workflows. The accounting features and reports have made it significantly easier for me to stay on top of our finances as the business has expanded. Overall, the customer service is good, and I find the community and university resources to be extremely valuable.

Cons

The updates frequently remove functional features or make unnecessary changes that worsen the Leap experience. For instance, in previous versions, I could easily input an address by searching the postcode, but this option was removed in the latest update. Clients have reported that LawConnect can be temperamental, and there have been issues with links not being received. While the integration with InfoTrack is helpful, the additional costs are excessively high, and their sales team has been pestering me for the past two years! On a couple of occasions, the customer services team couldn't resolve my issues and responded rudely.
