“Great for brainstorming but interface needs a little work
Pros
The sharing feature in Miro is crucial to my work. It's amazing to see the movement of my team their cursors and the changes happening right before my eyes. The freehand drawing feature is especially valuable as I can use my Wacom tablet to demonstrate and draw with my team.
Cons
The interface especially scrolling with the mouse to zoom scrolls from top to bottom which feels unnatural.

“Okay app for whiteboarding
Pros
Miro is a good app that is easy to use. It was particularly helpful when working with students online when other interactive tools were not an option. It worked well as a standalone app.
Cons
There are many similar whiteboarding apps available but this one doesn't integrate well with other education apps that are being used.

Pros
This tool is fantastic for showcasing visual workflows that cannot be effectively represented in Excel. It is user-friendly and facilitates easy sharing.
Cons
I'm not aware of other tools but it would be helpful to easily create versions for toggling or creating multiple views to navigate through.

“Good tool for beginners
Pros
Miro provides valuable templates explanations and straightforward features for whiteboarding and diagrams making it particularly helpful for beginners in this type of software.
Cons
Miro's functionalities can be somewhat limiting beyond low-fidelity wireframing and idea management. I had to consult Figma to create more advanced designs.

“Miro is the best collaborative tool available
Pros
Collaboration is enhanced by the ability to create interactive and engaging pages for attendees.

It lacks a feature for anonymous feedback like Mural's private mode where people can add tickets without revealing their identity, great for retrospectives.

“Great for research teams
Pros
Even with the free version multiple users can collaborate in real time regardless of their location.
Cons
A minor annoyance is that adding cards or objects to a board can be tricky for beginners. However once you get the hang of it it becomes easy and intuitive. Objects even link automatically if you know where to click.

Pros
Miro is a versatile tool that I utilize in various aspects of my life including teaching at the university visualizing research projects brainstorming and conducting online workshops. Its ease of use makes online collaboration enjoyable.
Cons
Some tools in Miro like sticky notes and shapes have limited design options. For example there are few choices for fonts or colors. It's not a major problem but it can feel a bit limiting.
