A steep start

Pros

There are tons of options. They offer a lot of flexibility so we can tailor workflows to match the specific needs of our team.

Cons

It feels like you need a full week of setup and training just to understand the basic functionality.

project tracking done right

Pros

I find that this tool keeps projects well organized and helps everyone stay aligned especially once you become familiar with how it works. It has replaced a lot of the Excel spreadsheets I used before and honestly, I find it much more simple and convenient to use.

Cons

The cost can climb as your team grows and all the customization options can feel a bit overwhelming in the beginning since there's definitely a learning curve at first.

Easy tracking

Pros

Keeping projects organized and monitored is really simple and it does a great job of helping everything stay on schedule. The automations make sense right away and the interface is clean, readable and simple to manage.

Cons

There really are no major problems with Monday.com though it would be helpful if it offered page templates so users wouldn't need to build everything from scratch.

Good for teamwork

Pros

One thing that really stood out with monday.com was how simple and customizable it felt. Boards, workflows and automations can be adjusted to match the way your team actually operates instead of making everyone adapt to a rigid setup. The visual layout was also a big plus.. seeing deadlines, statuses and task ownership all in one place made it much simpler to stay organized and focus on priorities. Overall it improved visibility and collaboration without feeling too complex or stressful to manage.

Cons

Since there are so many customization options, views and automation settings, it takes some time to understand how everything fits together. I also noticed that certain advanced tools, such as more detailed reporting or complex automations, are only available on higher-tier plans which may be a drawback for teams watching their budget. Still, once everything is set up the right way, the platform becomes much more manageable and efficient.

Simple workflows for any team

Pros

It lets you set up workflows exactly the way you need them, with customizable columns, boards, statuses and more. It fits all kinds of teams too.. accounting, HR, construction, marketing and just about any other department can make it work.

Cons

A lot of the more valuable features, like higher automation limits, dashboards and integrations, are only available on the more expensive plans. Smaller teams can also end up paying for more than they really need.

Useful info on a glance

Pros

I like that the interface feels simple and gives users a lot of useful information at a glance. Getting everything set up is quick and learning how to use it doesn't take much time or effort.

Cons

One downside is the responsiveness especially when trying to use it on mobile browser screens. The app works well but there are times when I or clients would rather access it through a browser instead of being pushed to use a separate app.

Smart automation

Pros

The user experience is really solid and the platform feels simple to use. I've especially appreciated the automation options and the range of features available. The AI support is also helpful, both for getting assistance and for creating templates which lets us get everything set up much faster.

Cons

The mobile app navigation could be better. There are also times when images fail to load while viewing comments or discussions and those kinds of bugs can be pretty frustrating.

Clean task tracking and customization

Pros

Right away monday.com made task organization feel simple. The interface is clean, visually appealing and it keeps project tracking simple without feeling cluttered. I also appreciated how much customization it offers which makes it adaptable to different workflows.

Cons

Some of the more advanced features can get pricey for smaller businesses or individual users. It also takes a bit of time at the beginning to fully learn all the tools and features available.

strong reporting

Pros

Monday has been our go-to project management platform for handling both client work and internal initiatives. The part I appreciate most is how user-friendly it is, along with the reporting features and the flexibility to add guests to shareable boards which makes communication much easier.

Cons

At my current plan level there isn't a simple way to track resource time and costs. I did manage to set up a workaround though.

Workflows that fit

Pros

One thing that really stood out to me is how adaptable it is to the way our business actually runs, rather than making us change everything to fit a fixed system. At Budd's, we use it to manage and keep track of multiple areas of the business and the biggest benefit has been being able to customize boards, statuses, automations and columns so they reflect our real day-to-day operations. It gives us clear visibility across teams, keeps information centralized and makes it much simpler to track progress, ownership and bottlenecks all in one place. Another major benefit is that it works well as an operations hub alongside our other systems. We've been able to use monday.com to support workflows tied to quoting, jobs, clients and follow-up processes so its value goes well beyond basic project management.

Cons

The downside is that once your workflow gets more advanced, monday.com can start to feel a little cluttered and more difficult to manage. It is highly customizable but that also means keeping boards, automations and integrations organized takes ongoing effort and attention. Some tasks that feel like they should be simple end up needing workarounds or additional manual setup.

AMAZING client spaces and automation

Pros

Running different client spaces has been the biggest advantage for me and I've been able to use it as my main operational tool for things like content planning, feedback and day-to-day coordination. The automation system is amazing and saves a lot of time, plus it gives the agency a more premium feel. I've basically never run into bugs or issues while using it. The only incident I remember was one time when we couldn't log in because their servers were down and support replied by email very quickly to explain what was happening.

Cons

A few clients mentioned that it felt a bit complicated to understand at first so in some cases I ended up switching to another tool for them. Aside from that, I really don't have any complaints.

game-changing visual setup and automations

Pros

The visual setup is what won us over. Having every project in one place with color-coded statuses, timelines and dashboards has made a massive impact on how our team works day to day. Once you get the hang of the automations, they really change the game too. Stuff like automatically assigning tasks or sending reminders used to take up way too much time and now it all happens on its own. Collaboration also feels much more natural since everything lives in one spot instead of disappearing across endless email threads.

Cons

Pricing is where it starts to sting. Once our team expanded, the cost went up fast and a few features we assumed would be standard are only available on the higher-tier plans. There is definitely a learning curve as well. New team members do not instantly understand how to use it so we have had to spend real time onboarding each person properly. On top of that, the platform can feel a little sluggish at times when we have a lot of boards open.

form builder is helpful

Pros

Keeping our team organized has been a huge plus and the form builder makes it really useful for collecting more information across the company and structuring that data so we can process it efficiently. I also really appreciate the automations especially being able to send emails automatically and trigger other processes directly from the platform.

Cons

One issue I've noticed is that the interface can take a little while to refresh when several people are working in the same board at once. If two users are editing the same field, the delay can cause the updates to lag and that sometimes leads to the same information being entered twice.

excellent for inventory and team collaboration

Pros

Monday.com is an excellent platform packed with automation features for inventory tracking and project management. It's a really impressive tool for overall business management and team collaboration.

Cons

At first it can feel pretty complex and the automations are quite specific so there's definitely a learning curve when you're just getting started.

Cluttered and overwhelming interface

Pros

One thing that still stands out to me is the wide range of options it offers, along with the many configurations and scheduling combinations available to work with.

Cons

At this point though the interface feels even more cluttered which is ironic and I end up spending more time trying to understand whether I'm using monday.com the right way than actually getting any real work done in it.

good visibility and real-time updates

Pros

It stands out for the visibility it gives across work along with the flexibility to set things up the way each team needs. Being able to customize the workspace by adding the right subjects makes it much simpler to monitor tasks, priorities and overall progress. The real-time updates also help teams stay aligned and reduce the chances of missing important follow-ups.

Cons

It can start to feel overwhelming when dashboards are not designed well. While they may be fairly simple to create, they can become difficult to maintain and are easy to overbuild. At times, having too many automations in place can also end up confusing users.

The standout part for me is its visual, simple interface. It lets you see project progress at a glance and the customizable boards make it simple to adjust the platform to different workflows without much effort.

Cons

keeps teams organized with custom boards

Pros

Monday keeps my team and me really organized. We use it to monitor our day-to-day work and make sure tasks don't fall through the cracks. One feature I especially appreciate is being able to build boards for our graphics team, as well as other teams so everyone can quickly see the status of projects and where things stand.

Cons

The visual side can feel a bit overwhelming at times. I think the interface could be simplified a little so it looks less busy.
