Perfect for my small team

Pros

It really helped my small team put everything in one place, how we work, how we communicate and all the related stuff. It also has tools you can shape and configure to fit whatever workflow you need which makes it feel pretty flexible for different use cases.

Cons

Lately it's been getting harder to use. The newer updates feel like they added extra complexity and searching can be frustrating too-if there are multiple pages with the same name, it's not simple to find the right one.

No major complaints

Pros

The interface is really user-friendly and it's been great for staying on top of my project lists. I can clearly prioritize my to-dos and keep everything in one convenient place.

Cons

Overall there aren't any major problems. The only caveat is that it might not be the best fit for a time-blocking workflow.

Awesome concept

Pros

I'm really into the concept, the design and the full range of customization options. Pretty much everything about this product fits the way we plan. I mostly use it to work through event details from start to finish and we also rely heavily on the Calendar for scheduling. On top of that, it's used for marketing planning, team meeting notes and keeping reference docs for housing organized.

Cons

I'm not sure whether it supports having both a personal Notion account and a work Notion account on the same device. If that's possible, awesome-if not, I'd really like the option to use both accounts on one device.

Combines text, links and media

Pros

Having everything in one place to combine text, links and media has been really handy for me. The hyperlinking feature is probably what I used most, being able to link related resources as projects expanded ended up saving me a lot of time.

Cons

Even with that flexibility, the platform didn't feel robust enough to handle full team task management which is why I eventually moved over to Asana.

Can build customizable pages

Pros

It works really well as an all-in-one workspace, bringing note-taking, task management, databases and collaboration into a single place. I can build highly customizable pages and workflows which makes it handy for both personal productivity and coordinating with a team. Real-time collaboration, cross-platform access, flexible database views and lots of integrations cover a wide range of needs whether I'm keeping things simple or setting up more complex processes. The drag-and-drop interface solid permission controls and how adaptable it is across different use cases have made it a strong option for centralizing work and keeping communication organized.

Cons

Role-based access isn't built in so it's not the best fit when different users need different roles and access levels. Also, charting is pretty limited. If you need charts, you may have to rely on a third-party tool since there aren't built-in charts.

Full of scam and fake ads

Pros

This company feels like a scam. Their ads don't match reality and the way they market their product seems fake so there's really nothing positive to say about them.

Cons

Everything feels like filler and outright lying. The product descriptions are unrealistic and they didn't deliver what I was expecting. Overall, they came across as dishonest.

Nothing gets missed

Pros

Having payment processes SOPs and internal memos all in one place makes it much simpler to keep tabs on everything. The ability to link out to other pages and attach checklists has been particularly handy for making sure nothing gets missed.

Cons

It lacks granular permission controls at the block level which we can see would help us separate finance access from support access more clearly.

UI stands out

Pros

It's flexibility and user interface really stand out compared to the usual tools. Being able to set up wikis for both employees and volunteers has been a huge time-saver for our team.

Cons

That same flexibility can also be a downside. With all the options and commands available, it sometimes takes a bit of time to ramp up before everything clicks.

Handles everything

Pros

Honestly, it covers everything I need. It has been super handy for basically any task someone might want to organize and it's flexible enough to fit different purposes. I originally went looking for a database tool but I ended up using it as a document management setup too and that switch has worked out really well, it just fits my workflow.

Cons

There are still a few ways to use it that I haven't figured out yet. Everything I'm using right now feels really practical though I'd appreciate more documentation or guidance for features I haven't explored.

Well laid out

Pros

Organizing everything felt pretty simple and the page layout is clear to read with smooth navigation.

Cons

The setup still seemed a bit complicated, getting everything configured exactly how we wanted likely takes someone who can code.

Dynamic relational databases with Notion

Pros

It let me set up a flexible, relational database for tracking tasks, meeting notes and content ideas all in one place. Swapping layouts and rearranging blocks started to feel like a natural part of how I think which made organizing everything much more fluid.

Cons

When the databases got really large, loading could take noticeably longer and some nested templates didn't render as quickly as I expected.

New enhancements for cleaner navigation

Pros

This app comes with a bunch of fresh, useful enhancements that make the interface much easier to manage. You can populate it as needed without turning the whole experience into a confusing mess for people using it.

Cons

Getting the backend set up at first can feel a little confusing but thankfully there are tutorials and templates ready to help you get started.

Highly bespoke workflow creation

Pros

The platform is really versatile for building systems that feel highly bespoke and personalized to the way I actually want to operate. Instead of forcing me into one workflow, I can shape things around my own process.

Cons

Templating database setups for other people (like friends I'd want to share the setup with) isn't as simple. As far as I can tell, you may need to recreate the databases from scratch if you don't want the records to stay linked.

Simple for documentation and planning

Pros

Super simple for documentation and planning which makes it fast to keep everything organized. Sharing releases with customers externally is also really convenient, sending updates to the people outside the team is painless.

Cons

There's no built-in way to track velocity or support capacity planning. Calculating those figures ends up being a manual process. Also, finding the right documents through search can be frustrating since the document lookup isn't as smooth as it should be.

Connects everything together

Pros

It's nice being able to connect everything together and once it's set up it's pretty simple to manage. Tally also keeps form creation simple without forcing you to add extra tools.

Cons

If you're not careful, the entries fill up quickly and then it takes time to track down what was entered earlier. Another issue: Notion didn't send me any notifications when a payment failed.

Helpful for drafting creative content

Pros

I've used it for organizing web research and for drafting creative content and it's been a solid place to keep everything together. The browser clipper plus built-in database makes it simple to collect information and link related materials without much hassle.

Cons

Occasionally, loading PDFs takes a while and scrolling through longer documents can also feel a bit laggy when it's time to load more content.

Incredible note-taking tool

Pros

It's an awesome note-taking and project management tool. I use it to stay on top of my tasks and jot down notes from meetings and interviews and it fits my workflow really well.

Cons

The app is strong but it can feel wildly complicated. It has a lot of potential yet getting everything set up and fully working takes a fair amount of effort which can be pretty intimidating and overwhelming, mostly when I'm being very nitpicky.

Keeps things uncluttered and sorted

Pros

I really like having the ability to mix notes, tasks, content plans and even small databases in one workspace and still keep everything from turning into a cluttered mess.

Cons

At times the app can feel a little slow to load and if you're not intentional, it's pretty easy to make things overly complex-too many pages and lots of links can start spreading everywhere.

Effective for content calendar

Pros

I mainly use it for my content calendar and it's genuinely been a big help. The calendar layout with the connected database makes it easy to see exactly when everything is scheduled so I can plan with confidence.

Cons

Sometimes tables and images don't render properly when I export them to PDFs or other file formats. Also, exported pages occasionally need a bit of extra tweaking before they look fully polished.

Been a great help

Pros

it genuinely feels like a second brain for me. I can quickly and efficiently organize everything from planning vacations to managing complicated work projects. Getting used to it took a little time but once it clicked, it started to feel automatic.

Cons

I wish there were a native messaging feature for collaborating with others. I've heard there's been an update aimed at solving that though I haven't checked it out yet.
