Satisfied user

Pros

There's a lot to like about this tool. You can put together different dashboards, start from multiple templates and get plenty of customization depending on what you need. I also rely heavily on the reminder option inside tasks and the email notifications that go out help me stay on top of my workload.

Cons

Overall I'm really happy with it. The only thing I'd change is the way project scope can be viewed, right now you mainly get a monthly or daily calendar view but it doesn't really give you a wider, big-picture overview. Having that broader view would make long-range planning much more convenient.

versatile and adaptable

Pros

It lets me put together a workspace that matches my exact workflow. For instance, I built a project management dashboard using linked databases, a task tracker and meeting notes so my team stays on top of everything for a high-stakes product launch. On top of that, embedding files, videos and even other apps makes the whole setup feel really versatile and adaptable.

Cons

Even with all that power, it can feel a bit overwhelming at the beginning. I needed a couple of days to fully get comfortable with more complex databases and relational properties. There's also limited offline support which was annoying during a flight when I still wanted access to a few notes.

Huge potential for personal systems

Pros

It feels like it has a lot of upside, basically only your imagination sets the limit. You can set up workflows that match your business needs, create a second brain and build a system that fits the way you think and work.

Cons

Once you start building something really solid, you still have to be ready to actually maintain and shape those systems yourself. Learning all the tools can be a bit challenging at first and after you reach a certain number of pages you'll need to move onto a subscription.

All my stuff in one place

Pros

Having everything for my day-to-day in one spot has been a real win. It's convenient to keep my stuff together instead of bouncing between different tools.

Cons

The calendar doesn't really work the way I need it to so I still stick with Google Calendar.

Easy customization with templates

Pros

It's simple to use and lets me tweak everything to match my preferences. There's a big variety of features, plus both free and paid templates available which makes it quick to get started without feeling stuck.

Cons

I don't enjoy how limited the offline options are so I can't rely on it as much when I'm not online.

useful building blocks

Pros

Every single page feels highly customizable and there are loads of genuinely useful building blocks. I especially like that it includes more complex options like databases (with table setups) and even built-in ticket tracking.

Cons

the customization level can be a bit overwhelming, getting started from scratch can feel daunting and messy if you don't already know how you want everything structured.

Note-taking, databases and task management

Pros

Having note-taking, databases and task management all in one platform is a big win for productivity. The collaboration tools also make it noticeably easier to work together on projects since everyone can stay aligned in the same workspace.

Cons

Getting started takes a bit of time due to a slightly steep learning curve and once the databases get bigger, overall performance can slow down.

Can tailor it to meet our needs

Pros

I'm really impressed by how customizable it is. Since we manage several clients, we're able to tailor it to match each business's needs rather than forcing everyone into one template.

Cons

Even once it clicks, Notion can still feel overwhelming now and then. The customization options are fantastic but there are so many of them that it's easy to get turned around. It also comes with a pretty steep learning curve so expect to spend some time researching and testing to get everything working the way you want.

Pleased with it

Pros

I am really happy that I can create lots of tabs which makes it much easier to organize everything for my daughter's business.

Cons

Getting the hang of it takes a little time and feels a bit awkward at first but once I adjusted to the tab system, it worked out well.

Outstanding feature set

Pros

It feels simple to use and the feature set genuinely makes it stand out compared to other apps in this space. I especially enjoyed being able to split everything into separate sections, for work, hobbies and even a simple to-do list-so nothing gets mixed together. Accessing my notes across my phone and laptop thanks to the syncing is also incredibly convenient.

Cons

It would be better if there were an offline mode since it would let me view attachments even without an internet connection.

Appreciate its ease of use

Pros

Found it really user-friendly and I enjoy how adaptable it is for organizing everything, tasks, notes and ongoing projects all in one place. It also works well whether you're setting it up for personal use or coordinating with a team which makes it genuinely versatile.

Cons

Newcomers may need a bit of time to learn all the features before everything feels natural.

budget-friendly software

Pros

It's pretty versatile and also affordable and our teams were able to use it for free with the basic features.

Cons

The interface can occasionally feel a bit complex and overwhelming at first especially for beginners so there's a learning curve before it feels natural.

All tools in one place

Pros

It combines a bunch of different tools in a single spot which really cuts down on the need to keep jumping between separate apps.

Cons

When you lean too hard into customization, the interface can start to feel a bit hectic-especially once the project gets bigger and more complex.

Eye-catching design

Pros

The platform's design caught my eye right away and the amount of customization is a big win. I especially like being able to drop a video directly into the specific template. There's also a simple workflow where I can hit record, then send instructions to my team right after, overall it saves a lot of time.

Cons

Getting started took a little adjustment. I'd rather not have to ask too many beginner-level "tech dummy" questions since I usually lean toward tools that are more simple. Once I worked through the features though, it clicked and I started enjoying it a lot.

Never faced any issues

Pros

Notion AI has been incredibly useful for my business notes. Whenever I jot things down by hand, it turns them into digital text in a matter of seconds. I also rely on it for project management, everything stays organized in Notion and I can export my projects to clients directly through the platform.

Cons

There really isn't anything to complain about. I haven't run into any issues with this software.

Pros

It feels incredibly flexible, I'm able to use it for everything from basic note-taking to managing tasks and even building custom databases. It's been a solid way to keep all my different projects organized in one place.

steep learning curve

Pros

Using it gave me a way to fix my chaotic process for collecting information and consolidate everything into one digital space. The wide variety of templates made it easier to experiment with new workflows inside the app and, at least at first, helped lower the learning curve enough for me to try different approaches.

Cons

Still, the learning curve feels pretty long and steep and it ended up blocking the transition to Notion as my new work style. I'd catch myself skipping tasks because getting set up often meant a 20-minute crash course, while my messy but fast manual method could do the same thing in seconds. That combination pushed me toward doing less overall which didn't feel like a tool that was actually helping me get more done.
