“Solid note-taking software”

Pros

This is still solid note-taking software and it integrates LaTeX really well inside the app. It's become my go-to option for taking notes just by typing especially when I need LaTeX formatting.

Cons

There isn't much to complain about. The only catch is that the free trial locks you out of some features but the available tools are still enough to get by.

“Nice hiring pages showcasing culture”

Pros

I really enjoy seeing how companies use it to post job openings along with their core values and overall company culture, everything looks clean and nicely formatted. I've used it myself and it's a strong fit if you're used to putting together documentation in Atlassian Confluence. It feels like it connects internal documentation with public-facing transparency in a practical way. Overall, it's a solid choice for companies that want to showcase their culture and handle recruiting without having to hire a developer to build a site from scratch.

Cons

The permission setup between public and private pages feels complex and it doesn't make the process very transparent. Regular users who need elevated permissions may need some onboarding or training before they can get access correctly.

“Notion is worth every penny”

Pros

I genuinely love Notion. Living with ADHD, it helps me juggle my "girl boss" goals and the everyday stuff in a way that feels way more manageable. The platform is practical and the pricing feels like it matches the value, every penny seems justified.

Cons

Not much to complain about. The only thing I've noticed is that the mobile app occasionally glitches but it hasn't been a major problem for me.

Pros

The best part for me is having everything neatly organized in a single place, instead of jumping between apps all the time. It's quickly become one of my go-to tools for my daily workflow. On top of that, the collaboration features are a major plus and make it easier to work with others.

Cons

When the workspace gets really big, it occasionally feels a bit slow. Also, getting into more advanced setups takes a little time to learn.

Extremely flexible and easy to adjust to lots of different workflows. It's really useful for project management, note-taking, content planning and collaboration all in one place. The interface feels clean and modern and it's simple to navigate. The built-in templates help a ton for both business and personal organization, plus team projects. I also appreciate how it brings documents, databases, calendars and task management together without needing multiple tools.

Cons

Because everything is so customizable, there's definitely a learning curve at first. Some of the more advanced database and automation features take a little time to wrap your head around. The mobile app can feel slower and a bit less user-friendly compared to the desktop experience. If you keep adding pages and building systems without a clear structure, the whole setup can get messy pretty quickly.

It's a really solid platform if you want to build a customized work environment. You can organize and track your projects and tasks as deeply as you want and the flexibility is great. Even though it took me a couple of hours to get the hang of how everything works, it ended up being worth it. Notes and tasks are also easy to keep synced and managed across all your devices.

Cons

The main hurdle is that it can take some time to become proficient if you're not used to this type of software. Still, the payoff is there, spending a few hours watching tutorials and reading guides to get familiar with it makes a big difference.

Jumping in can feel confusing at first. Because it's so customizable and starts you with a "blank canvas," the amount of freedom can be a bit intimidating until you get used to it.

It feels like a really flexible, well-thought-out productivity tool. You can keep notes, tasks and full projects together in one workspace which makes organizing everything a lot simpler. I also appreciate how customizable it is-you can adjust layouts to match your personal workflow or your school/work setup. The collaboration features are a big plus too especially when you're working on group projects. Overall, it's a solid go-to for students and professionals who want one place to manage everything and the day-to-day use is simple.

There's a learning curve, mainly because there are a lot of features and customization options. If you're just starting out, it can be a bit overwhelming at first and takes some time to figure out the best way to set things up. Also, a few features aren't included unless you pay.

What stood out most is the level of deep customization. Once you set things up, you can basically build whatever your project needs and your team can collaborate in the same space you designed. It's not the quickest tool to pick up but the moment you understand the logic behind it, the real power shows up. The value is also strong for the price especially considering how many pages and views you can create. I also appreciate that once you create the right automations, everything stays perfectly synced with my team, without the usual manual back-and-forth. On top of that, there are plenty of templates to start from so you're not always building from a blank page. Overall, the possibilities feel truly endless with Notion.

Cons

Getting started can feel a bit hard. If you want your setup to match your exact workflow, there's definitely some learning involved, nothing outrageous but it does help to watch a few YouTube tutorials or read guides so you can use Notion to its full potential.

Pros

Our team uses this as a central place to track jobs-to-be-done across different functions and it's been really solid for collaborating together. The profile photo generator is also a standout feature that adds a lot of value.

Cons

A bit complicated at the start especially around setting up the collaborative docs and getting the checklist elements configured the way you want.

“Top-notch productivity app”

Pros

This has been one of the most solid productivity apps I've used. The setup is simple and the sheer number of features you get feels really generous. I handle my class notes and project assignments entirely through Notion. The standout part for me is the free sync between the app and the PC version which keeps everything up to date.

Cons

It would be ideal if I could connect my existing ChatGPT/Gemini/Claude accounts to Notion AI without having to buy an additional subscription.

“Provides good value”

Pros

Overall, it's been a huge help for getting my student life under control. Before this, my notes and project files were scattered all over the place but now everything lives in one central spot. I keep my engineering assignments, internship applications and even my personal to-do lists all in the same system which makes it much easier to stay on track. The rating feels deserved and the value is really strong once you push through the initial setup.

What really stands out is the amount of flexibility. I end up using it for almost everything, covering my B.Tech coursework, keeping up with my Python/Java projects and even tracking my gym progress. Since it lets you create custom databases, I can shape the workspace to match exactly how I want to manage tasks. Sharing pages is also simple which has been handy for group assignments where I collaborate with teammates.

Pros

Cross-team collaboration has been a big win. The shared document space acts as both a historical record and a living, up-to-date doc which is especially useful with remote teams. It also makes async RFCs genuinely collaborative instead of turning them into one-way comments.

Cons

I'm not fully sold on the way Notion AI bumped up the costs when I checked pricing. While having AI that can access our documentation sounds like a dream, the same outcome seems achievable pretty easily with MCP-based tools.

Pros

I really enjoy how much you can customize it here and shape it into something that fits your brain. It's a solid pick if you want a Notion setup that actually feels tailored to how you think and work.

Cons

At the time, the scheduling feature wasn't my favorite. It lacked recurring tasks and the automation options felt pretty limited.

“Handles team collaboration well”

Pros

The biggest win is how well it handles both usability and team collaboration. Notion feels very user-friendly to navigate and doesn't take a ton of training to start getting value quickly. There is still a bit of a learning curve, like most tools, it can take some time to get used to how content is structured and created but once you're there, it really helps. As an SDR, I've found it especially useful for keeping meeting notes, onboarding materials, SME details, sales processes and campaign notes all in one centralized place. It saves a lot of time versus digging through folders or scattered documents. Plus, you can set up configurable, logical layouts that make day-to-day use simple. Collaboration is another strong point, everyone can work from the same source of truth and updates show up in real time. Access and connectivity have also been reliable across desktop, browser and mobile which makes it easier to stay organized even in a fast-moving SaaS environment. On the value side, I'm not fully aware of what the business pays but based on how many different use cases this platform covers in one place, it feels like good value.

Cons

That flexibility can backfire if your team doesn't set up clear structure and ownership. Without consistent maintenance, workspaces can gradually get messy with duplicate pages or outdated information. I personally haven't run into major bugs or stability problems but larger pages can occasionally feel a little slow to load. Customer support is hard for me to judge since I haven't had to reach out much and there haven't been any big issues that required help. Spam filtering isn't really a Notion-specific concern but information governance can become an issue. If content rules and ownership aren't handled properly internally, everything can start to feel noisy.

“Helpful for editing my writing”

Pros

Using it has made it way simpler for me to set up CRMs and build project libraries quickly and it's genuinely helpful for editing my writing. I also enjoy using the AI agents to draft content in different styles which saves a lot of back-and-forth.

Cons

There was a learning curve at the beginning though once I got the hang of it, everything became much easier. I do wish Notion AI were more affordable since I rely on it so often.

“Free of cost”

Pros

Since it's free, the value you get is really solid. I've never had to contact customer support but the product itself has been reliable. The interface is simple and collaboration on projects feels smooth, multiple people can work together without much hassle. Data synchronization also stands out as one of the best parts. Plus, Recomend (Notion) organizes everything into pages and the way pages can act like folders makes it easier to keep related content grouped. Overall, it's a flexible setup for organizing and working.

Cons

The one real downside for me is task management, it doesn't feel as user-friendly as I'd like. Still, I worked out a workflow that fits how I organize work. Also since Notion doesn't include traditional folders, you end up creating structure using pages and linking pages inside a "folder" page to mimic that setup.

It is packed with a lot of useful building blocks, all in one place which makes it quick to assemble my own workspace. I end up using it as a solid system for managing projects especially when I'm in the middle of website builds.

Cons

The interface can feel a bit awkward to navigate. Also, once multiple people start creating pages, the space can lose structure pretty quickly and becomes hard to manage unless someone is consistently cleaning things up.

“Strong ecosystem of templates”

Pros

Everything is centralized in one place which comes with a strong ecosystem of templates. On top of that, the AI integration with agents really boosts what the AI can do, giving you more control over tasks and workflows.

Cons

AI integration feels forced and it also comes with a longer learning curve. Since the software is huge and very powerful, it can take time to get comfortable. Another consequence is that it can blur the product's own identity-there's a sense that it tries to do a lot yet it ends up specializing in only a few things.
