A great tool for multiple purposes
Pros

I like how Productive has a lot of features and is still pretty simple to use. The logic behind everything works great almost always, and for me, it became a tool that I use daily without much thought. I see great value in that. I also appreciate the documentation and the whole team behind it.

Cons

My tasks might still be a bit sloppy, but it could just be because of the way we use it in our company. I am not really sure.

A great move!
Pros

Their features catered to agency needs, the great customer service, budget management, simplified time tracking, and the convenience of budgeting and invoicing in one place.

Cons

I find there is a lack of very top-level resourcing, as I can't get an overview of at least four months within one view.

One of the most practical for profitability tracking
Pros

The main reason I chose Productive was to be able to track the profitability of each project by assigning a cost to each resource (employee) and tracking billing and expenses on each project. I really appreciate the reporting and customizable dashboard features. I also like that I can email directly to a deal to add entries in the CRM, and the Notion-type documents are a nice touch, though I wish there were more options.

Cons

The CRM is a bit basic. I find notes and follow-ups could be more intuitive and organized. Navigation inside the app is not always clear, and I often find myself searching for the way to get where I need to go. When I try to add time outside the dates of a budget, the error preventing me from adding it is annoying. I would have preferred a warning and the option to add it anyway. I would like to be able to quickly create a task from the time tracking entry on the calendar view if I am working on something that wasn't initially listed. Managing billing and budget is not user-friendly, especially when pre-selling hours.

Everything we need in one platform
Pros

Productive includes all the features I wanted and nothing I did not. I used ClickUp for some time, but found it hard to use and customize to my needs. Productive gives me the tools I need to keep projects on track and assigned to the right people, and it provides business metrics that keep me aligned and on-point. It's been a game-changer for me, and I can only see it getting better.

Cons

It is expensive, especially as I add more users. Other products are cheaper, but they are not tailored to what I need, so they end up costing in other ways.

Perfect tool for project management, budgeting and invoicing
Pros

This tool is fantastic for project tracking, budgeting, time tracking, and scheduling. It is an all-in-one tool with features that can sync information to different tools, making it very promising and efficient. The Productive support team listens to feedback and quickly responds to inquiries.

Cons

Having tried other project management software, I am grateful to be able to use Productive and there is not a single thing I don't like.

Pros

Productive Review
Pros

Productive is a product management software that offers many useful features, custom workflows, time tracking, resource allocation, and reporting. I consider the resource management tool, which enables effective management of resources (team members and equipment), to be the most valuable.

Cons

Due to the complexity of the application, I find it quite difficult to learn all the features available. Some features are available at a higher price, making the price quite high.

Easy generated reports & great customer support
Pros

I can track tasks, estimates, worked time, billable time, revenue, costs, invoices, scheduling, time off, and much more in one tool. Checkups and reporting are easier than ever since I can filter and sort all the parameters I want and just export into .xls, .csv, or .pdf. Their support is easy to reach through the chat integrated into the same tool, and they are really responsive and fast. They constantly improve features, so every few weeks I can expect some beta version to be released and tested with real users.

Cons

I don't like Productive's search functionality. It's not accurate enough or fast enough. Boards and tasks are sometimes hard to manage, especially if the project is big.

Core functions are great - would be better with more
Pros

I like that everything is all in one place without the need for multiple software.

Cons

Some features that are a no-brainer, like tracking non-billable proposal hours, should be able to be directly tracked from the sales function instead of having to be tracked as internal hours. But these are nitty-gritty details which should make their way to Productive sometime in the near future.

Pros

Their UI and UX as it covers a lot without overcomplicating the experience. The cost is competitive, and the support service is great. I also like the constant updates and the addition of new features.

Cons

There is still some fine-tuning needed in some areas, so not everything is perfect. But with lots of good updates being rolled out, it shows it's only going to get better.

Pros

Pros

It enables me to keep everything in one place, from ideation and budgeting to project management and expense tracking. It strikes the right balance between powerful features and ease of use. The best software in this space -- hands down!
Pros

The product is robust yet streamlined at the same time. They simplify the UI to enhance the UX, making it easy for team members to jump right in. The flexibility with budgets has been the best feature for us, allowing us to put all shapes of budgets into the system and track them correctly and effectively across all our projects.

Cons

I wish there was some way for me to create a production schedule within the projects so they could easily be visible at all times. Everything is tracked within this system EXCEPT for production schedules, so I feel most strongly about that element missing.

All-in-one capacity and resource planning tool
Pros

Productive gives me an all-in-one view of our current and forecasted capacity, ideal for tracking team time, availability, and profitability. There are lots of insights available to help inform my business, and the customer support team is excellent and reactive.

Cons

I've had to implement a number of workarounds as it was not really designed for PR agencies with monthly retainers, more for project-based resourcing at ad agencies. Also, the holy grail for me is to link time (hours) and money (billings) into one view rather than separating them out, that is apparently in the roadmap but has been for a while!

Productive Has Made Us More Productive
Pros

I love that I can set up project budgets and track our progress against them in real-time, which helps me better allocate resources and determine profit margins. I also appreciate that the company has a robust roadmap and constantly adds new features. Setting up projects is fundamentally easy and there is a ton of flexibility with the different views for tasks. The ways I can slice and dice data in here is a major win for agency owners like me.

Cons

The biggest thing I need is a way for my clients to submit tickets to my team so we can tie it back to the project and, if needed, add a new project scope, but there is no interface for clients to submit requests to us via Productive. I have not found any ticketing software that will integrate with Productive either (maybe by Zapier, but I'd really just prefer to stay in Productive as much as possible). I would also like to see more history on staff time off/vacation time. Once a year has been completed, the data got removed when their new allocation was given. The Dashboard view can use some improvement based on the priority of actions. I would also like to see time chronologically from when my timer was started so I can see when it happened during the day, but if I use the timer feature and then switch to the calendar view, it throws all the entries to the top of the day for some reason.

Pros

Productive has everything I need, from task management (including subtasks and workflows) to reporting and time management. The price is very reasonable, regardless of the number of users. Some project management software has affordable pricing for a small number of users, only to rip you off when your company grows.

Cons

The most feature-rich, easy to use PM we've ever used
Pros

I became an early client of Productive a few years ago. They constantly roll out new features, including many specific requests I've made to them. They always respond to my requests and update me on their status. They have, far and away, the most responsive customer service of any SaaS product I subscribe to. And the product is head and shoulders above any of the other tools I have used over the years.

Cons

It is meant to be an end-to-end solution for small-ish agencies. Beyond project management, there is financial reporting, invoicing, expense tracking (including QuickBooks integration), and sales tracking. The Sales tool is probably the least developed. It works great, and we use it, but it would be nice if it were more tightly integrated with the rest of the tool so the revenue forecaster would be more accurate. There are a number of customization features, so we have been able to cobble together an adequate tool (we previously used both Salesforce and HubSpot).

Customer support is responsive and immensely helpful, especially in explaining the parts of the tool that apply to areas outside my expertise, like finances.

Cons

Cons

The ability to easily create a report when an employee goes 'over budget' or 'over estimate' would count as billable hours and not as over-budget hours (those are not billable) but you can create a custom report (takes a couple of minutes) but it would still help me out a lot.

I have used Productive for the past seven months, and it's been very, very helpful. The team is simply amazing, doing a great job assisting my every need and are more than happy to jump on a video call to help me out when needed. When I asked for help with a financial overview using 'Insights,' they immediately took the liberty to create some overviews to show me what Productive is capable of, which helped me a lot.

Cons

I did not miss a feature. The team is constantly updating Productive as it is, and if I have useful feedback they'll implement this within a few months. It's perfect.

Productive Review
Pros

I think this software offers more useful features than its competitors. The price is great, and I like that I can assign team members and clients to tasks.

Cons

I thought the software was difficult to understand, and so did my team. As the admin, I wish I got more of an overview of everyone in each project. I felt like I had to search a lot to find the information I wanted.
