“Every tool you need for an agency”
Pros
It is fully-featured with a continually improving product roadmap and excellent customer support.
Cons
Sometimes it is difficult for me to work out how much budget is remaining, as the calculations do not always tally with my own figures. I think there are some nuances in how the calculations are done. Some features have started to move to the 'premium' tier.

“Greatest agency management software”
Pros
It enables me to keep everything in one place, from ideation and budgeting to project management and expense tracking. It strikes the right balance between powerful features and ease of use. I love using Productive, especially features like Insights, which really position it as a unique tool on the market.
Cons
I find Productive is best utilized when the entire organization is actively using the tool. Buy-in from most, if not all, internal stakeholders is highly recommended.

“The best software in this space -- hands down!”
Pros
The product is robust yet streamlined at the same time. They simplify the UI to enhance the UX, making it easy for team members to jump right in. The flexibility with budgets has been the best feature for us, allowing us to put all shapes of budgets into the system and track them correctly and effectively across all our projects.
Cons
I wish there was some way for me to create a production schedule within the projects so they could easily be visible at all times. Everything is tracked within this system EXCEPT for production schedules, so I feel most strongly about that element missing.

“All-in-one capacity and resource planning tool”
Pros
Productive gives me an all-in-one view of our current and forecasted capacity, ideal for tracking team time, availability, and profitability. There are lots of insights available to help inform my business, and the customer support team is excellent and reactive.
Cons
I've had to implement a number of workarounds as it was not really designed for PR agencies with monthly retainers, more for project-based resourcing at ad agencies. Also, the holy grail for me is to link time (hours) and money (billings) into one view rather than separating them out, that is apparently in the roadmap but has been for a while!

“Productive Has Made Us More Productive”
Pros
I love that I can set up project budgets and track our progress against them in real-time, which helps me better allocate resources and determine profit margins. I also appreciate that the company has a robust roadmap and constantly adds new features. Setting up projects is fundamentally easy and there is a ton of flexibility with the different views for tasks. The ways I can slice and dice data in here is a major win for agency owners like me.
Cons
The biggest thing I need is a way for my clients to submit tickets to my team so we can tie it back to the project and, if needed, add a new project scope, but there is no interface for clients to submit requests to us via Productive. I have not found any ticketing software that will integrate with Productive either (maybe by Zapier, but I'd really just prefer to stay in Productive as much as possible). I would also like to see more history on staff time off/vacation time. Once a year has been completed, the data got removed when their new allocation was given. The Dashboard view can use some improvement based on the priority of actions. I would also like to see time chronologically from when my timer was started so I can see when it happened during the day, but if I use the timer feature and then switch to the calendar view, it throws all the entries to the top of the day for some reason.

“A growing tool that grows with you”
Pros
I can use it for everything from time capturing to project and task management. The tool is not perfect, but it allows me to provide feedback and request features necessary for my business's growth. The staff support is 100%! Thanks for all you do, Productive, and for all your fast responses.
Cons
It is not perfect, but I feel it's learning from our needs. I believe it will grow into an all-in-one tool.

“Productive is integral to our success”
Pros
What I really like is the superb user interface, it is intuitive and fast to use, the best I have seen. The help files and customer service are excellent; there has not been a question without a really satisfactory answer. There is not another system I use that is anywhere near as easy to use as Productive. Remote working puts more pressure on the system, and it has supported my team now spread out over thousands of miles.
Cons
There is not much I would change, but I would like slightly more customizable templates to allow me to add more text and graphics to them.

“Very all-round and effective projectmanagement app”
Pros
It shines with its range of features that just click with my wishes for managing projects. It keeps track of all the important aspects of tasks, budgeting, time, invoicing, and reports we need to do our best job for our customers.
Cons
Productive could become better when it has a translation in Dutch for my customers who are not as tech-savvy as we are. The way projects can be invoiced could use some improvements, and I also think bulk editing budgets would be helpful.

Pros
This software is a great all-around tool for managing an agency, giving me time and budget management to understand the profitability across each client engagement and new business pursuit.

“The last project management and team collaboration software you will ever need”
Pros
I have not had a single issue with Productive and have yet to encounter a limitation or area for improvement. It has been such a breath of fresh air to come across an out-of-the-box solution that fits my team and our way of working. It is clear that Productive listens to user feedback and quickly implements features and fixes. Their support is outstanding, going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.
Cons
Having tried six other project management and team collaboration software, I am pleased to say that Productive has surpassed my expectations and there is not anything that I don't like.

“Perfect even for a small company”
Pros
Productive has everything I need, from task management (including subtasks and workflows) to reporting and time management. The price is very reasonable, regardless of the number of users. Some project management software has affordable pricing for a small number of users, only to rip you off when your company grows.
Cons
I wish filters for tasks had more options (e.g., the date filter only has equal or not equal). It would be perfect to have a single overview of tasks across all projects.

“Definitely the tool for a software agency”
Pros
The software has been extremely stable and reliable. There are constant new features and regular design updates. Features like forecasting and insights are next-level.
Cons
I think the area around company data could be better handled. I see the reason why it was set up the way it was, but some more structure in this area would have actually helped us.

“The most feature-rich, easy to use PM we've ever used”
Pros
I became an early client of Productive a few years ago. They constantly roll out new features, including many specific requests I've made to them. They always respond to my requests and update me on their status. They have, far and away, the most responsive customer service of any SaaS product I subscribe to. And the product is head and shoulders above any of the other tools I have used over the years.
Cons
It is meant to be an end-to-end solution for small-ish agencies. Beyond project management, there is financial reporting, invoicing, expense tracking (including QuickBooks integration), and sales tracking. The Sales tool is probably the least developed. It works great, and we use it, but it would be nice if it were more tightly integrated with the rest of the tool so the revenue forecaster would be more accurate. There are a number of customization features, so we have been able to cobble together an adequate tool (we previously used both Salesforce and HubSpot).
